Have you ever been asked if you were gay (and are you)?
Steel replied to kelel01's topic in The Bonfire
When I was 15 I was once at a bar (I had a fake id) and a guy at the other end of the bar (atleast 30-40 feet away), asked the bar tender if I was. The bar tender who knew me already quickly answered for me, no hell no, he loves girls. One time when I was 19 I was driving to New Hampshire to go skiing. I stopped in Massachussets to for a bathroom stop. While taking a leak I received a compliment from a gay guy(several unrinals away)about my member. It freaked me out and I was not at all pleased. Several times at the mall with my girlfreind gay guy from the stores have tried to hit on me. Most of the time I don't notice until later when I girlfreind tells me. I guess I don't notice if its not blatant, mainly because, I am not interested and would prefer to not know. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read. -
No offense but your entire post is a load of crap obviously coming from somebody who cares only for himself.. For somebody who knows better, it IS offensive. Only a fool would believe that a Cuban living in that hell hole is being geniune when saying that he likes that living in that system. When you think of how many rafts and boats have been shot down by Castro's army while only trying to leave, its obvious that they are just too scared to say what they feel. I will post a letter that was sent by a Canadian who went to Cuba, but used his common sense to avoid writing flat out bull shit about the current Cuban life. ----------------------------------------------- LETTER FROM A CANADIAN WHO KNOWS THE REAL CUBA INSIDE AND OUT I can not tell you how happy I am that therealcuba.com exists. It is truly unfortunate that the majority of the world do not wish to acknowledge or admit that Cuba is a cest pool of corruption, greed, espionage, danger and destruction. I sometimes wonder if things will change when the old SOB - Fidel, dies??? There are so many people who have been brain washed, who have spent their entire lives living with the mind games set out in what is supposed to be Communism that I do not believe they are capable of change. There are a select group of Cubans who live the high life, they are high ranking members of the Party - rewarded for their treachery, what will happen to them?? The Psyche of the old Cuban is fear. When you live in fear day in and day out, and you watch every move, every gesture, every word you say for over 40 years, that has got to have an adverse effect on your psyche! These people know the other side, they know what will happen if they do not "tow the Line"! I have met former prisoners whose lives were changed because they dared to speak out, and when they get out of prison they have nothing, and no one. They have to try and leave the country! These people went from being young and happy to suffering post traumatic shock syndrome, depression, all kinds of mental and emotional illness'. So to the tourist who becomes addicted to the music, dance, sex, or whatever I say, "get Help"! THERE IS NOT ONE DAMN THING ROMANTIC, HAPPY OR WONDERFUL ABOUT A SYSTEM THAT HOLDS 12 MILLION PEOPLE PRISONERS TO A CORRUPT SYSTEM. did anyone ever put 2 and 2 together and figure out that Castro was one step ahead of everyone before he took power. He is 1,000 times worse than Batista ever was! The difference between Batista and Castro is that Castro imprisoned the whole island, said do as I say or you are dead meat, and took it all......no freedoms at all, no life at all, he owns EVERYTHING lock, stock and barrel, every business, every natural resource, every aspect of agriculture, etc. At the end of the day when a Cuban dies all he or she gets is a blue plastic binder type of coffin and a used grave to throw the corpse into..................real estate is expensive you know! Castro owns every square inch of property on the entire island of Cuba, every home, every garage, everything, including the body, minds and souls of every person! Paranoid, if Castro is paranoid, he should be, if a government of human does not get him, the devil surely will. I hope there is a hell, I truly do! Seen too much to even cry anymore! Signed : Sad but true Thanks. There is nothing to add to such a letter. George ----------------------------------------------- Incase you want to see the website here is the link. http://www.therealcuba.com/feedback.htm -------------------------------------------------- Here is another link from a different section in this website which has current pictures showing what tourist have in Cuba and then what Cubans have in Cuba. http://www.therealcuba.com/two_cubas.htm This is in a country where the leader is the 7th richest dictator in the world, but shares his fortune with the people. Yeah right, if somebody is stupid enough to believe that. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Sorry, I must have misunderstood these words: Care to tell me how that is NOT exactly what it seems to be? I honestly don't understand what you are suggesting over even asking here. In anycase I will try to recap from the original post. Raul Castro will be easily killed. This is why so many Cubans are celebrating currently. The regime will fall, one way or the other. One reason we are so sure he will be easily killed is because it is known amonst Cubans that he IS and alcoholic AND a promiscous homosexual. Now please tell me what is really so difficult to understsand. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Batista was A LOT better. My family lived under Batista. At no point did my grandparents think, oh life sucks here so bad, that we need to send our children somewhere, where they can have a meaninful life, even if that does mean that we may never see them again. All of my grandparents, just as many in their generation, made that exact decision with their children. My mother came to the U.S. at 14 years of age with her 9 year old brother. My father was 22. They didn't see my grandmothers for 3 years and it was very possible that they never would have again. In my parents generation their were thousands like them. I can't even begin to count how many of them I know personally. Fact is my mother's mother was against Batista and my father's mother was for him. But everybody quickly agreed when Castro started fucking things up that Castro was the worst possible thing that could have ever happened to Cuba. Again, I understand that there is so much ignorance being spread, that people actually could make comparisons between Castro and Batista and really think its a toss up. But the fact is that, its not. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.

You're fucking kidding me, right? * Who brought up homosexuality? * Who accused this man of murdering BECAUSE of his homosexuality? * Who posted a photoshopped picture showing this man as a stereotypical pansy? And _I'm_ the one turning this into something? I suppose I'm somehow ineligible to dispute the association between murder and homosexuality already in the thread, right? The association was not between being a murder and a homosexual. The association was with how easily Raul Castro will be assassinated. And the fact is that his gayness will help in getting to him. He does make himself an easier target that way. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Yeah maybe those pictures are all fake. And all those crosses in Tamiami Park, each representing a name for a Cuban that was killed fighting Castro's regime could just be the work of 100's of thousands of Cuban-Americans with over-active imaginations. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. this here link is for the Jack-asses who think its a "cool fashion statement" to wear Che t-shirts. http://www.therealcuba.com/MurderedbyChe.htm Editted to ad there is a link there to an audio/video clip from that vicious murder stating, "We have killed the resistance by firing squad and we will continue with the firing squads." In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know personally... ex-political prisoners ... afraid of speaking out ... family or freinds ... Castro's thugs ... shoot them dead... Rest assure this has been happening for the past 47 years. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What you are telling me here is disturbing and all new to me. I hope you do not take offence by me being cautious about taking your word on this. --- Is that all you've got?!? --------------------------------- I guess being in Denmark so far away and not knowing any Cubans is probably why, what I take as a given, you may doubt. It still does blow my mind that after all these years there are people who don't understand what has been happening in Cuba. I will search to find some links in a minute here. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Are most people able to have a good life? Maybe. -------------------------------------------------- No they are not. The only people living well are involved in government. This is a fact. Not bull shit I have read on the BBC. But actual information from people who have recently escaped or have actually gone back in through a third country to visit a dying family member. This is the only general exception most Cuban-Americans make for people letting their American dollars go there. I have pictures of my grandparents home town in Cuba in 1940 and then in 2000. I can guarantee the standard of living was higher in 1940. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Money to be made in the mainland. Actually Cuban-Americans are typically quite successful in the U.S. But to think that they escaped here for financial interests, is frankly absurd. Most Cubans have arrived with nothing and built their way up. If that were the case the 1500 Cuban-Americans would not have trained with the CIA to go back and save their freinds and family in Cuba from that dictatorship. They would just be rejoicing this this "new found wealth" that they found here in the U.S. ============================== but is that because of political persecution -------------------------------------------- I know personally many ex-political prisoners from Cuba. You apparently don't understand what its like for a husband and wife to be afraid of speaking out against Castro in their own home because they might be afraid that they son or daughter might have bought into the communist bull shit. You apparently don't have family or freinds who found themselves in such a situation and had Castro's thugs walk into their house, pull them outside and shoot them dead in the middle of the street. Rest assure this has been happening for the past 47 years. Its just not a matter of opinion. It IS plain and clear, BLACK and WHITE, its wrong. To state otherwise is to either be ignorant or just plain careless of the situation. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. It's only a "double edged sword" if you associate homosexuality with murderousness. I don't. Do you? I don't, Fidel was straight as an arrow and they were/are both vicious murders, and I like most Cubans/Cuban-Americans would like for both of them to die an extremely painful death. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.

You assume a lot here. It just might be so that the majority of the Cuban population wants Castro as their leader. It is not a given that they are "wanting to be free of tyranny" or that they have "wanted freedom for 47 years". I know that the Cubans in Miami would have you think this but is it really true? Yes I agree w/ that. Now would be the perfect time for the U.S. to invade. We could LIBERATE the people, kill Castro, get some oil, stick a thorn in Chavezs' ass> A Win-Win situation. Hell we might even find some WMD Sounds good to me but its still a little different. I would suggest you look up and learn about the Platt Amendment but hell, I will just put it on this post and make it easier. The Platt Amendment, 1903 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Article I. The Government of Cuba shall never enter into any treaty or other compact with any foreign power or powers which will impair or tend to impair the independence of Cuba, nor in any manner authorize or permit any foreign power or powers to obtain by colonization or for military or naval purposes, or otherwise, lodgment in or control over any portion of said island. Article II. The Government of Cuba shall not assume or contract any public debt to pay the interest upon which, and to make reasonable sinking-fund provision for the ultimate discharge of which, the ordinary revenues of the Island of Cuba, after defraying the current expenses of the Government, shall be inadequate. Article III. The Government of Cuba consents that the United States may exercise the right to intervene for the preservation of Cuban independence, the maintenance of a government adequate for the protection of life, property, and individual liberty, and for discharging the obligations with respect to Cuba imposed by the Treaty of Paris on the United States, now to be assumed and undertaken by the Government of Cuba. . . . Article V. The Government of Cuba will execute, and, as far as necessary, extend the plans already devised, or other plans to be mutually agreed upon, for the sanitation of the cities of the island, to the end that a recurrence of epidemic and infectious diseases may be prevented, thereby assuring protection to the people and commerce of Cuba, as well as to the commerce of the Southern ports of the United States and the people residing therein.... Article VII. To enable the United States to maintain the independence of Cuba, and to protect the people thereof, as well as for its own defense, the Government of Cuba will sell or lease to the United States lands necessary for coaling or naval stations, at certain specified points, to be agreed upon with the ]?resident of the United States. ------------------------------------------- To help you understand, article 7 states the U.S. has ever right, to go in there and stabilize the situation as soon as the uprising starts when the general population knows Castro is dead. However, there is so much internal dissent that, I wouldn't doubt if half of the current Cuban army took out the real communists who wanted to keep the status quo, once the fear of Castro's reprisal was gone. I can then see the U.S. doing the same thing they did in 1898, come in after the Cubans won and try to take credit in hopes to control the Island. But that might not be such a bad thing. If the U.S. would have been in control all along Castro's army would have never succeeded. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. He's a homosexual? Well shit. That proves he's evil right there. But wait a second. Isn't "alcoholic homosexual" redundant? Aren't all those fags lushes? You may find a double edged sword there. In efforts to conceal his sexuality early on he slaughtered many of your kind. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. When I read posts like this, I wonder if people could really believe what they are stating. My parents left Cuba in 1962 to escape Castro, my grand parents in 66, I know tons of Cubans who came in the 70's my brother in law came in 79, aunt in 81, freind and coe-worker in 87, and I and my family and freinds are still in direct contact with family and freinds still in Cuba. Do you have any idea how many people are continuing to die in attempts to escape that place? It would seem that you don't when you make ignorant statements like "Oh well GEE I don't know, maybe they are all happy to be there" , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. I will admit that their is a lot of wishful thinking (by Cubans or Cuban decsencants living in Cuba, or abroad) that the son of a bitch is dead or dying a painful death. But this is not by any means a bad thing. Do you not think that many Jews were feeling the same way about Hitler in his last days? To respond that its completely different, is equivalent to saying you don't really know Cubans or life as its been for the vast majority Cubans who do not want to live in the shit hole that Castro created. See other picture and check out link http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/01/AR2006080101405.html I welcome people like Michelle who wish to learn about Cuban life, hate communists like Charles Wrangel, who outright lie to defend communists, and am frustrated with the people who foolishly look to news sources like the BBC or CNN, to get an understanding or the current situation there. , Thinking that Raul would last in power for years is actually quite funny. It too shows a lack of general knowledge about what has been happening in Cuba. Raul Castro is a alcoholic homosexual who is generally not liked even by fellow communists. If you knew how many assasination attempts have been made on Fidel Castro for the past 47 years, you would realize that an alcoholic who needs to sleep with different men constantly, will be killed easily. Here is a little exerp from a link. The attacks, the bombings, the assassination attempts went on. Over 600 plans or attempts on Fidel Castro's life alone are known to authorities -- from exploding cigars, to his wet suit lined with poison, to a pistol hidden in a camera. Two of the most recent have been the snipers arrested before attempting to kill the president on Venezuela's Margarita Island in 1997, and the bombing plot in Panama City in 1999 which netted Luis Posada Carriles, who awaits trial in a Panamanian jail. Things got to the point where the US allowed ships at sea to openly shell residential districts in Havana, as on August 24, 1962. Here is a picture displaying what the Cuban comunity thinks about Raul Castro attached to this posting. Actually at this point, I am strongly starting to believe he is either already dead or dying and my only regret is that I am not in Miami celebrating with like minded people. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.

See, in my world, Bill has proven many times over that he is a smart one and I can't recall many times he has had to retract a statement. You on the other hand...well, let's just say one word: opposite. In the mean time, I will take Bill's guess over yours.....even without a link. I just chose to say that in one sentence.... Oh I get it. You really didn't have anything to add but wanted to show your personality. You really didn't have to do it, I think you have made you troll like ways abundantly clear. That certainly makes it fact.... Do you ever finish reading posts? It might help in the need to ask so many questions. Here I will paste it for you to finish the paragraph again. The key here is that I don't say it for a fact and that I open up the possibility to actually reasearch and show some facts. Now read carefully. Its really a short paragraph. I remember reading somewhere that most were done in Thailand and that there were something like 30-40 thousand in the U.S.. If by withdrawing military support to Batista in 1958, you mean the U.S. made Castro then fine. Here is a link to educate yourself with http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/war/cuba1.htm As for the Cuban-Americans the fact that 1500 Cuban-Americans were trained by the CIA (after Castro declared himself a communist), and some risked while others lost their lives going back to Cuba to fight Castro, tell me that you statement is Jibberish. If that is where they are from then that is where from where you descend. If your response was NYC then that is clearly heading in a different direction than, saying "oh I am American". But just as well if you were talking with somebody that you went to grammar School with in NYC and you both were still living there all this time and they asked you where you were from. Answering NYC would be trying to avoid the question. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. That is an interesting theory and can't say I see and direct relation from which you are basing it. I am not sure what you mean by a martyr state, but it certainly sounds illogical to think that by easing pressure off a ruthless dictator, he would be more likely to be overthrown. , We traded with USSR, we traded with Poland, we traded with Hungary, E. Germany, Czechoslovakia... and all their dictatorships failed. Even PRC has become capitalist thanks to trade. We don't trade with N. Korea or Cuba, and they survive as oppressive, poverty stricken regimes. See the pattern? Castro is OUR boogeyman. I see the pattern, but I think you are mistaking cause for effect. and btw. Castro IS indeed a sadistic criminally insane mad man. That is NOT propaganda. Swedan is extremely Socialist and for that reason I would never want to live there. However, I have never heard any reports of Swedes trying to escape and for that reason being killed on the spot by the Swedish government. Through meetings Reagan was able to pursuade Gorbachev to open up his mind to better ideas. However, that has never been possible with Castro. Castro, like Kim Jong Il is just a flat out asshole with stupid ideas, atotal disregard for personal freedom and human life. Therefore nothing positive can come out of dealing with him. This is the logic being used by the U.S. in forming foreign policy and it makes much more sense to me than your logic. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.
