  1. 0-2-1 Two jumps on Saturday, both freefly. Beer owed for the first head down jump.
  2. Hey since your in Iowa you must be going to Couch Freaks.
  3. Outside of a funeral, or wedding service I haven't been to a church service in over ten years. However many Sunday mornings I find myself listening to the church service on the local radio station while I'm on my way to the DZ or in a tractor working. I guess that sort of makes church part of my Sunday. Is listening to church while you drive considered multi-tasking?
  4. What state are you in? This lonely corn farmer needs someone to jump off his Harvestore silo with.
  5. congratulations & best wishes to you both
  6. Good for you Jimmy. Glad you could get up in the air. Get that sholder healed up soon. Sunday was a big day with Nancys article and all.
  7. I don't know if there are any folks on here that give two shits about me but I can think of a few that I would probably go out of my way to help if they truly needed it.
  8. 0-4-2 Four good jumps on Saturday. Beer owed for landing in the peas for the first time
  9. This sounds more like a property tax forclosure to me and not an income tax problem. The fact that the property has been seized by a Township and not the IRS. If it is a property tax deal then they are only interested in the land and getting enough for it at auction to settle the tax debt. Normaly this sort of thing takes years to settle so I wouldn't be to worried yet.
  10. I hate the little bastards and don't care what you think of me for it.
  11. What he said. If your a real skydiver a little cold and snow won't bother you.
  12. Just go. There is no place like Ft. Dodge at Labour Day.
  13. Man I hated that part about milking. I'm glad those days are over.
  14. I thought you were going to quit jumping?
  15. Doesn't anyone here ride a snowmobile in the winter? Thats as close to a sport as I get besides jumping.
  16. Most of it is bull-shit, on pun intended. You couldn't contaminate milk before it reached the bottling plant and not have it detected unless the tester at the plant was the contaminator. Milk is one of the most highly tested and regulated food products out there.
  17. Hurry on down to Hardee's, and get your self a treet! I remember that anoying little song from when there were still Hardee's around here.
  18. Bumpity bump!!! Just over a week till Batavia. So who else is comming?
  19. Well said. I take issue with all the people here who like to bash the SUV, and truck drivers. Some of us drive them because we need to and can't afford to have a little gas sipping car for going on trips. It's easy for those who live in the city or suburbia that can walk to the store or ride a bike to work to accuse some of us about wasting fuel. I personally don't feel that I should be villainised because I drive a truck and put around a thousand miles a month on it.
  20. Corn is a far cleaner source of fuel than crude oil. It takes millions of years to capture carbon in the form of oil but, only about 110 days to do it with a crop of corn. The use of fertilizer, and herbicides helps the crop to better capture the energy of the sun and the carbon in the air to create the kernels of corn. The remainder of the plant is worked back into the soil and breaks down to help feed the next crop. Water use really shouldn't be a huge concern because most of the corn is produced in areas with adequate rain fall or a very plentiful source of water. Further more if you spill ethanol it is no worse than if you spilled some Jack Daniels. Thats not the case with gasoline. By the way I do realize that you cannot get pure ethanol. Even when it leaves the plant were it is produced it is denatured with about 5% gasoline in order to keep from having to pay liquor tax on it.
