Deuce I know you know that people react to things in different ways. You may not agree with them but who is to say which reaction is the better/right one. Is cracking a joke any less respectful than sending up another load of tandems after someone bounces in front of the loading zone? Is it funny that the first headlines about the Nasa woman were all puns from the start? It is tragic that she passed away before 40. However who is really surprised? She was a grown woman that made some really strange choices in her life and some very destructive ones as well. I don't feel that sorry for her as she didn't try to change her ways or seek out help for it. However I do feel sorry for her children that seemed to be a by-product of her lifestyle or another way to manipulate people. I like shows that have planned out what they are, where there are going, have a 'bible" of what they will/won't do, etc. While it wasn't the best produced show made, Babylon 5 had the full 5 years planned out before the pilot was ever made and it made every episode count. Shows like Heroes and Battlestar at least plan out 1-2 seasons in advance. The show has been stale since midway into the first season. I sat down to watch a bit of this seaon with someone and felt like I didn't miss much other than a death or two. No revelations, just more questions. The show creators have no idea where the show is going and never had a plan on how to reach the 100 episodes...too much feels made up and contradictory. They've tried too hard to keep the original mystery myth of the show going for too long without any payoff....didn't anyone learn from Alias, X Files or Twin Peaks that you can't do that? He really freaks me out though, especially this last episode. Man he gives me the hebegebe's He is powerful without showong his power. Two things thou: 1) Why didn't he kill Mr Bennet? 2) What's with the voice just before he went for the kill on Mrs Bennet? Did he get the power of suggestion from the chick that shot herself? It was somewhat obvious that Peter needed to think/feel about the people that gave him powers...he is an empath after all (I've read too many comics). This is yet another show that contiues to surprise me with how good the acting is and how good the story line is. I just wonder which Hero doesn't make it to season 2 if you know what I mean. My guess is that it's the cop.....Nikki/Jessica could become one of the new bad guys on the show. I don't think there has been a bad episode yet on this show, and last nights was just great. Who knew that Matt LeBlanc could actually act?! That introduction speech he gave for Harriet was so good and painful at the same time. They handle each story line with incredible grace, finding more depth to some typical tv plot cliches. Well you got to understand, it rained the whole game. Thats where all the fumbles came from. It was pretty bad all right. Colts fumble to the Bears, then on the very next play, Bears fumble it right back to the Colts! They were suffering from Wet Ball Syndrome. Maybe all future Super Bowls should be played in domed stadiums? A few of the hits had some help from the rain, but Grossman dropping two snaps was a screwup on the fundamental level - WHY in the world did he have his hands apart on the snap? Place the base of your palms together and get a firm grip! The snow against the Saints wasn't an issue and the rain should not have been for us. Football is played in bad weather, thats an aspect of the sport. Anderson never had a chance to pressure PManning the entire game and with the man coverage we were manhandled on defense. The def play calling was terrible, how can you expect the Bears to score if you keep letting Indy get first downs without trying to tackle them. How do you not take advantage of squib kicks that gave us nearly 15 extra yards on most possesions. Hell, Indy declined a penalty that would have given them a 1st down in the red zone because they knew our team couldn't score. We were out coached and outplayed.
