    Because we paid attention before he was President and saw the potential for horrific failure due to his resume and lack of oral skills. He more than exceeded our expectations.     I made some calls this morning, got some Cop friends of mine to get his name for me. I've never heard of this guy in my life, nor do I know the guy he is currently teamed with. They are at a loss at whats going on. There may be some law about how long a car can stay in one spot here in Chicago, but I've never heard of it. I've gone out of town for weeks at a time and left my car there without issue in the past. Parking in my area is never an issue either. When I was unemployed I didn't use my car much to save on cash and it sat in the same place for nearly two months during the winter, often covered with snow.     Not surprised at all. However, any time your force an arbitrary metric on an individual to measure their performance, those on the edge will do whatever it takes to meet those numbers. Example: I'm fairly certain the new guy in my area is that way. I just found out on Monday he wrote me 4 parking tickets in March that I never saw claiming I was in front of an expired meter when I wasn't. Then this morning he had put another ticket on my car for tow because I hadn't moved it in 7 days! Needless to say I am fucking pissed at this guy. My car is fully legal and was parked DIRECTLY in front of the house it is registered for, the same house it has been registered at for the last 4 years, the same house it has sat in front of during that same period of time. As of this morning I've filed a complaint aginst this officer and contacted my alderman as well. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....     That has to be fake. Someone got jumped because they ganked someone's wife in game? For those that don't know that term, it means a player vs player (PVP) situation in a last man standing situation....these are not always fair matchups either.     I don't play like I used to. TBC is just more of the same and I feel there isn't much different from what the original game was. The bigger PvE stuff isn't well tested and fairly boring outside of one or two cool encounters. The only good thing I like in it now is the PvP. So I log in while watching TV to play a couple quick matches against other people....and since most of it is in short 2 minute bursts it fits well with my attention span and the hours of my job/social life. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....     Gas is my area is almost at $3.30/gallon now. Luckily I haven't used my car more than twice in the last five months. Too bad I am still paying the damn thing off. Once I started using mass transit for everything I ended up saving about $300/month, esp since I get my monthly fare taken out pre-tax! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....     Tenet produced the quoted "Slam Dunk" while with Bush. It was this term that our President addressed the nation saying they had "Slam Dunk" evidence against SH. This is what Tenet addresses in his own book, and from my understanding the majority of the book is about the Bush years. whoosh...... My lord...my topic first and foremost was on the current stuff and what the book is about. In addition to that, it is this misinformation during the Bush adminsistration that was used wage a war. If you want to produce qutoes, please do so, and then show how those are worse than what my topic is about. It was claimed years before Bush got into office or was even running for office the SH has and was building WMD.     If we waited for the transports to be fully equip'd with armor before they were launched into a warzone we would have more soldiers alive, or at the very least, more with 2 arms and 2 legs.     Maybe it had something (read: a whole helluva lot) to do with the alternative. I think it had to do more with what the press told people what the alternative was. Are you saying the press favored Bush? I'm thinking the press favored rhetoric and talking points which played upon fear and the current mindset of the mostly uninformed voting public.     The Tamil Tigers apparently found ways to divert Tsunami Relief funds over to them as well. Doubt you would ever hear much about them in this country since there aren't many vested US interests in the Sri Lanka area. We are also evolving other threats in Indonesia which is home to the largest Muslim population. In 2000, 75% of that population had favorable opinons of Americans. By 2002 it had dropped to 15% and 80% currently fear an attack by the Bush Administration. The reality and the lies in the last few elections are hard to seperate. Those that didn't put much thought into who to vote for believed the hype and lies.....much to our loss.
