Bush: Saddam Bought Geraniums, Not Uranium
ChasingBlueSky replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in The Bonfire
While Bush may sound like an Ivy League Scholar saying "Darn Good" I doubt he would even know the phrase "My Bad" _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... -
Bush: Saddam Bought Geraniums, Not Uranium
ChasingBlueSky replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in The Bonfire
http://www.msnbc.com/news/939361.asp?0cl=c1 Bush: Saddam Bought Geraniums, Not Uranium Newsweek Web Exclusive In an extraordinary retraction of key elements in his last State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush revealed today that Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein did not attempt to buy uranium in Africa, as earlier alleged, but merely geraniums. "As I was reading the speech to the nation, I should have caught that typo," the President told reporters today. "My bad." WHILE THE NEWS ABOUT the uranium/geranium goof stunned diplomatic circles, Bush remained resolute about his decision to go to war, arguing that buying geraniums, while not as potentially dangerous as buying uranium, still represented a "suspicious" activity on the part of the Iraqi madman. "The question we have to ask is, who was he buying these geraniums for?" Bush said. "Was he buying them for Osama bin Laden or Kim Jung-Il or some other evildoer? Luckily, we'll never find out." The linksys card has worked fine for me so far, and as far as the lower costing 54g solutions, it seemed the best way to go. Also, since Linksys is now the consumer brand of Cisco, I was pretty certain that I would be able to connect to Cisco products without issue after the next firmware upgrade. I needed 11g to get a signal across my entire two flat, 11b just didn't have the mustard unless I purchased a signal booster. I will eventually move to an A+G card once 11g is out of the draft stage. As far as I know, Linksys doesn't have a card with an antenna port, but I'm sure something could be rigged up. I've had no problems with wardriving, but I have not been as lucky as you. I know on the DZ I am getting signals in places that others with the Cisco card are not. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Where can I find a good antenna? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Not unless you know how to completly spoof your IP addy and all other relevant info. You could alwase do wardriving and it you are woried about MAC add. I have heard their are programms to spoof that I go wardriving only when I need to (re: on the road). Most access points are only 802.11b and are very unstable from the curb. It is good enough for the necessary email and web surfing, but until 802.11g becomes more prevalent, I wouldn't even bother. And yes, you can spoof your MAC addy, but it would be just as easy to purchase a card with cash and only use it for wardriving. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... 2 way donut out of the skyvan
ChasingBlueSky replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have video of a 9-way tube that we pulled out of an Otter. I did a 12-way tube and a 12-way magic carpet ride at Rantoul last year out of the back of the Skyvan. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... And is there any system to get around this? Not unless you know how to completly spoof your IP addy and all other relevant info. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

The issue isn't so much the spyware now - its companies like the RIAA watching those on PPP software and logging their IP addy. They then go to the ISP and ask for the personal info, then file a lawsuit against those with the larger illegal amount of files. Spyware has nothing to do with this _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Hey everyone... Here's a thought for local transport at Rantoul (I mean very local, like on the airport.... Golf cart rental is very , well, how to say without offending the vendor... EXPENSIVE! Did you know that you can rent a Hummer H2 for about the same price for those 10 days? But don't do that. Last year, while at the local Walmart buying water, beer, water and more water, I saw a nice 15 speed mountain type bike for $59.95. I rode it out the front door and threw it on the roof of the car. Best WFFC purchase I've ever made. Be sure to equip it with a nice horn... travel at nite can be dangerous with all those golfcarts meandering about. (By the way, DON'T buy a bell, you'll sound like a fag ringing that as you peddle.) Just a few more days. Chris And now that bike is referred to as the "company vehicle" at our dz. I think I'll buy a second "company vehicle" this year. I was going to ask about this today in a new thread - but Ill ask here first. I'm not sure how much room I will have in my car after the tent, rig, etc is in there.....I would like to bring some of my own food with me just to keep things affordable. I know I passed a Wal-Mart coming back from my balloon jump, but I didn't see too much else in town outside of the gas station and video store. Is there a map or listing of all the local stores in Rantoul so I know if I can buy some of this stuff while I am there? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Don't think so. It was such a quick chat since you chose to cut me off and take your call waiting call instead. I'm not that quick, I swear!!!! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Donations? HA! Yea right! You earn that money baby. You didn't have a problem last year.... I still find it funny that I ended up on (via sunny) the list before I even had a chance to post it! Golfcart fund? After seeing her drive last year, I think she should be stuck to walking around like the rest of us! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I want one of those kites, they are a blast on weather days. There are a few out at Skydive Chicago now. I was flying one of the Big Air Kites that someone had put wrist wraps on ....once a 40mph wind gust came along it took me for one hell of a ride as it carried me about 20 feet when I went airbone about 5-10 feet off the ground. Saw someone try one on a 60mph wind day and the lines broke at the connection points just a couple of seconds into flight. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
