Following the converstation in the pub, what type of story could we create simply from 80s lyrics. I'll start... There was a New Moon on Monday _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Yea, he is doing a newscast in freefall. If you watch the outtakes, they show how this was filmed in front of a green screen. Of course, there is some real footage in there as well. Funny, he has on a freefly suit that looks a bit like Alchemy's (if they had blue suits) but yet he flies on his belly. So is God, er, Bruce a belly flier or freeflier? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

That will end once the "broadcast flag" becomes real in a few years. We use the Cisco IP phones at work and have our own DID and T1 for them...I'm guessing over 100 phones on the DID. We have issues on occasions, some wierd voices and echos, just like a digital cell phone - they work pretty good for the most part, and may consider vonage for home. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Wow. I was searching on ebay tonight and found this again - the old links seem to be broken. Think this would fit the slots at the DZ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2446138281&category=26428 _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... 857 on my touch pad - this has to be easier with a mouse. The computer never misses - even if you get it to spin/bank down the walls. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Sounds like a fun place - but $20 to 9k from a cesna? And a bunch of the pictures in the gallery can't be from Moab (and some look like they are right from Chicagoland Skydive Center). _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I have the same opinion. On top of that, I have a garbage can at my front door where all my junk mail goes the second I get home. I never read any of that stuff and fill a 10 gallon garbage can every week. Mail, Spam and phone calls are all called "Direct Marketing" and are done by companies looking to play the numbers and make the profit from that. Generally you will not see branding marketing campaigns from them, but you will know who they are from the sheer volumn of info they get in front of your face. You can cover more people and get your product evaluated in greater numbers than a door-to-door salesman ever could. Cold calling is all about numbers, or metrics and it is a proven successful formula. For example: If you make 100 dials, you will talk to about 50 people, 25 will listen to you, 10 will listen to the end of the sales pitch, 5 will commit to the purchase, 1 will actually make the purchase. Repeat the process the next day. If you hung up or said no without asking to be removed from their list, you will be recirculated to be called again at a future date, and they really don't care what opinion you have of them. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... While I consider this yet another waste of resources and an uneccesary risk that will only be used in their next campaign, Clinton and Reed at least did some work while they were there. This is still a photo-op for them....but you have to wonder, aren't those in charge over there supposed to be having these talks already? Honestly, what's the point of this? Hillary Clinton Meets With Iraq Officials By BASSEM MROUE, Associated Press Writer KIRKUK, Iraq - U.S. senators Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) and Jack Reed met in this oil-rich northern city Saturday with local officials who urged the visitors to raise the problems of their city with U.S. officials back home. After the 90-minute private meeting, Kirkuk's governor Abdel-Rahman Mustafa said the senators were briefed on the severe economic problems and high unemployment facing the city. Clinton and Reed arrived under tight security. Their convoy, which included an armored personnel carrier and a Humvee, was protected from the air by two Apache helicopters. Kirkuk has some of Iraq's biggest oil fields, but former President Saddam Hussein neglected the city and oppressed its large Kurdish population. Asked how could the senators help Kirkuk, Mustafa, a Kurd, said "by making our voice reach the concerned sides" in the United States. Also attending Saturday's meeting were the head of the City Council, Tahsin Kahya, and an official from the U.S.-led Coalition Provisional Authority, which is responsible for the administration of Iraq. Clinton and Reed arrived in Iraq on Friday, a day after President Bush made a surprise trip to Baghdad. Clinton, a Democrat from New York, and Reed, a Democrat from Rhode Island, spent Friday with military brass and troops, occupation officials and aid workers. They said Friday that the costs of rebuilding Iraq should be spread among more nations. "I'm a big believer that we ought to internationalize this, but it will take a big change in our administration's thinking," Clinton said. "I don't see that it's forthcoming." Both senators cautioned that new plans to speed the transfer of power to an Iraqi government are risky given the country's political and social instability. Reed said a "critical factor" for coalition authorities was securing the blessing of Iraq's majority Shiite Muslim community, especially Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, who has criticized the plan. "We're caught in a dilemma, possibly of our own making," Reed said. "A quick, hasty election might bring to power a person who doesn't share the values we're trying to encourage. But the more we wait, the more it looks like an occupation." _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... So does a DUI conviction and a year's AWOL. Don't forget needlessly putting the lives of our troops further into peril just for positive press and political maneuvering. Even GWB said in his speech that he knew he was putting everyone around him into great danger. Nah, I'm sure it was all for the troops. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

NEWS: Bush spent Thanksgiving in Iraq

His 2 hour photo op took about 30 hours. President Bush gave up more than 2 hours to make this happen. If you weren't blinded by your liberal ideology you would reconize what a great gesture this was. Bush said it himself yesterday - if anyone found out about this, he would have put all of those troops in grave danger. Therefore, it's not enough that these men/women are risking their lives for his war on a daily basis, they are put into deeper danger for his own political benifit. What a genuine, altruistic gesture. This ranks right up there with landing on an aircraft carrier to declare "Mission Completed," which I believe GWB admitted later on was a mistake. This trip wasn't his idea (he said that yesterday), but one of his advisors. Hmmm.....I'm sure the discussion that led to this was along the lines of "We have this media/PR/political disaster in Iraq that is only generating negative press and effecting the polls...what can we do to spin this into postive press....come on people, we have an election to win!" And yes, I'm certain that Hillary's poliitcal camp came to the same idea. Neither trip was necessary, or will help anyone but their own election team. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... k.. What have you done to support the troops? Over the years? Plenty. I come from a family that strongly supports the military, and that had me volunteering a lot. These days? Fighting with the local VA to help vets find a way to get vets their education benefits the government is trying not to give to them. Just one of the wonders of my job. It's amazing what is sold to these kids in HS, then 10 years later the same people are trying to screw them out of benefits. Don't even get me started on the GI Bill....I feel sorry for these men and women and how hard it is to get what they earned with sweat and blood....and I try to help them as much as possible. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Which btw is a Thin Lizzy song. Though my favorite cover they did is the Misfits' Die Die My Darling. That song is a wee bit older than that - it's an Irish Folk song. But Metallica was inspired by the Lizzy version. I saw Metallica play it in concert (Aragon Ball Room) before they released that CD....I think I was the only one in the room that knew the song and the lyrics. Most everyone else was bored. ....As I was looking over, the Cork and Kerry mountains.... (I had to see the mountains because of that song) _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

No, nothing says more than giving up his own thanksgiving for the troops, regardless of the time spent. I'm sure security had something to do with the amount of time he spent there. I wish there was a way to ask the troops in Tikrit exactly how they felt about this event and if it made it any easier being away from home on Thanksgiving. I talked to two former military friends (both conservative) yesterday and they basically rolled their eyes up at this one. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
