I'm curious to see this documentary that is showing at Sundance: A guy had McDonalds for 30 days, three meals a day and had a Dr monitor him the entire time. Ugh, I need to do this - and after reading your post today I am starting to wonder if this sore neck, swollen glands, sore throat, and sore ear are from my impacted tooth. However, I have a serious dental phobia and can't seem to call the dentist or oral surgeon. How long does this take to recover? Quade - I watched a debate the other day where Clark pulled rank on Kerry. Then Clark tried to put a different spin on it twice over the next two days! I am tired of Clark always having to explain ad nauseum what he really means after he opens his mouth. wow, would love to see what you guys would do with the weather we had yesterday - unexpected 3 inches of lake effect snow. life as normal here, and I still had 5 appointments show up to my office. oh yea, all the alleys in my neighborhood have been sheets of ice for the last 4 weeks, everyone up here still drives through them as if the ice wasn't there. It's pretty funny watching everyone in FL panic when they hear they may have a frost in the middle of the night. Everyone putting blankets on their bushes and bringing as many plants inside. Don't you mean X-Men DUMB? I'm glad I didn't pay to watch LXG - luckily my roomate purchased it on DVD. I never really found the graphic novel all that interesting either. What has me worried is how Hollywood is trying to turn these graphic novels into movies. Road To Perdition was an amazing story with some fantastic visuals - in comic form. I found the movie borning and a pale version of the story it came from. Of course the 1989 Batman was a poor adaptation of the Frank Miller stories. (gotta admit Frank ruined the story in DK2) Now I hear that Watchmen has been greenlighted - this is one of my all time favorite graphic novels and I'm certain they are gonna mess it up. I was getting pulled aside to be further searched most times I traveled after 9/11. Simple little things were setting of the detector. Now when I get up there, I put everything in the bin, belt, cell phone, shoes, etc.... Since we are talking about screeners - anyone else see the story that the TSA has fired screeners all across the country? They let 77 go at O Hare airport alone last week! Guess the background checks came back in and a good portion have criminal backgrounds, lied about employment history, etc.... This is an ongoing process since the background check takes some time. I was under the impression that in a very-hard opening scenario you want the risers to break. If they take the brunt of the force and break, then the forces are not transfered to your body. Why then would you want to strengthen the area around the grommet. I was on a tube-dive where the guy I was holding onto had his PC come out while we were traveling anywhere between 170-190mph (the video guy was Jason Peters on his head). So this guy had a high speed premature opening, and I flipped onto my back to watch him open - one riser broke just after the canopy (a triatholon) started to inflate - he was on his side when it deployed, so it wasn't a symetrical deployment, and he had a streamer. He had no problem chopping the remaining riser. When he landed, he only had some bruises across his chest, but wasn't hurt. Oh yea, there as nothing wrong with the canopy either. Did anyone else notice on one of the tandems that the TM has no alti, the student has no alti, and if you look hard enough, neither did the video guy. Doubt there was a dytter on the TM since he wasn't wearing a helmet. Yea, I can tell when it is pull time just by my eyes these days and probably look at my alti once per jump now (which is always around 5k for some reason).
