HEY! I live there - Midway is not in the hood (gotta go a few blocks north than east for that)! I mean, there has only been one shooting on my street in the three years I lived there. It was so minor it didn't even make the news. Right - Midway is "Bungalow Belt" white ethnic. Pretty much - esp if you go west. Clearing and Garfield Ridge are mostly known to be Polish neighborhoods. Wouldn't it just be easier to teach Heather how to pack? I spent a good portion of my trip to see Heather over the Holidays teaching her how to pack. She was doing great, and was a good student. When I was down there she had no trouble with her pack jobs - and I wasn't surpervising her packs the last couple of days. I've had worse pack jobs on my Spinletto loaded at 1.4-1.6 and they opened fine. Yea, I did finally have to chop it - but it turns out that may have been caused by broken lines. Since I live no more that 4 blocks from the end of one of the runways at Midway Airport, I can tell you it is the quickest and usually cheapest airport to fly into. From MDW airport, you have about 2 miles of road to drive to the expressway (nothing major about those neighborhoods, and you will fare better if you take Central instead of Cicero)- on a busy day that will take you about 15 minutes, 5 minutes on a good day. From MDW to SDC is 72.4 miles (give or take a few blocks and where you park ). You can make that 72 miles in an hour outside of rush hour, and about 90 minutes in rush time (if there is a race at Route 66 racetrack, that backs everything up - but those are usually on Sat). I used to work by Ohare and drive to the DZ....that trip is about 120-140 miles and will take at least 2 hours no matter what time you go. Depending on where you are coming from, MDW is usually cheaper than ORD. The flights landing at ORD have more fees than the ones at MDW, and they just agreed to cut flights to help get rid of delays at ORD - a tactic that will raise prices even more for all flights into ORD. Go directly to Southwest.com ATA.com, etc...they do not use the major travel websites. Also, Heather and I have found that four trips booked online with SW gets you a free ticket, and it is five trips on ATA IIRC. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... The Ven also has a much steeper glide than the Sam at full flight, and the Ven has heavier toggle pressure. I've also found that the Sam wants to stay in the dive longer than the Ven. Then there are the kids that got beat up for being on the list....um, not that it ever happened to me, I mean I think I heard of one guy that it happened to. Then again - 7th and 8th grade were rather simple for me. I transfered into a public Jr High after 6 years in a Catholic school...and everything in Jr High was a repeat of what had already been taught to me. Not the first time I have ever heard of this, and the end of the gulf stream would cause some major issues. I was told when I was in Ireland that the gulf steam is what made it possible for tropical plants to grow in certain parts of Ireland. Rhino - as a civillian, the General rank doesn't sway me, at all. No disrespect - but what he did on the battlefield is not the same for what he would need to do in Washington. Oh, if anyone believes in the polls, Newsweek released one today saying Kerry is slightly in the lead in NH - 31%, with Dean at 29%. The third place spot is up for grabs between Edwards, Clark and Lieberman.
