It's simple - find the links where Drudge reported that Kerry had an affair with an intern. Or, now that it has been proved false, find his apology or retraction. Yea, I thought so. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Report: Al-Qaida prisoners have ‘disappeared’
ChasingBlueSky replied to rhino's topic in Speakers Corner
Ah, since there is a famous quote that must make it ok to do!! Besides, this is inside a prison where the odds are high in the favor of the guards, etc. If those men had disappeared on the battlefield because of injuries in a conflict, that would be war. Getting killed in a jail cell is murder. And btw - where do you draw the line? And if you blur one line, whats from stopping you from bluring the next? Its a slippery slope. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... -

Just winning doesn't work. You need to secure peace. Victory alone doesn't bring peace. Breaking the rules and laws doesn't bring peace it fuels fire for a war at a later date. All victory does it place your opponents into temporary submission until they can regroup with new tactics. That is, unless you believe in genocide - the only way to win without securing peace. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... You're confused (again) about how this works. There's a big difference between a conservative (Drudge) posting facts and someone who just submits lies (CBS). Paste us a link to a Drudge article that is a complete lie. We'll be waiting here patiently (and probably for a long time). You missed my point. Drudge isn't a reporter. He sits at home and uses others to post info. He gathers info and then puts it on his website. The reason anything hits his website first is because he will publish things before there is solid proof. He then removes the links when he finds out something isn't true. He has had quite a few things outlandish published over time. His style of reporting combined with the cable news networks have caused the decline of trustworthy news reporting. The rush to get anything on the air seconds before anyone else without checking it out. The big exclusive, etc....add to that the need to fill 24 hours of programming on TV and you have the decline of real news. ANY news organization that does this is unethical - I am not an apologist for CBS or anyone else. What they did was wrong - however they admitted it and that can't be said for too many other news organizations. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... It makes me laugh when people feel that Drudge is a credible source. He is a vulture with no ethics and will pay to get a leaked source. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Think of all the positives! THe flu helps with the way your body deals with disease. Those that live in climates where the flu isn't as common tend to have a weaker immune system. See, betcha didn't think there was a good side to feeling like hell. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I'm sure that was taken out of context. Go back to the last debate - Christopher Reeves name was mentioned in relationship to stem cell research, as was Michael J Fox. Kerry said he supports stem cell research so that people like them one day can overcome their injuries or body working against them. Kerry also claimed that Reeves was a friend. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Negative. You couldn't be farther from the truth. Missed the boat big-time there. Oh, this should be interesting. How so? _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... -

That's a disgusting thing to say. Wendy W. It always amazes me that anyone would be proud of a violent nature in their body. Why would you want to brag that you know how to kill in ___ many ways? This makes you a lesser person on the same level of those that are chopping heads for the world to watch. It takes the same mentality and lack of respect for human life to do such things. I don't care what side you are on, its wrong and there is never a good reason why. Here is something else to chomp on: Killing foreign prisoners will make them into martrys for the cause. If they are innocent it will fuel the fire of revenge, if they are part of the problem their names will be praised and used as examples of why the western style of life should fall. It is a lose/lose sceanrio. An eye for eye never works, it is a cycle that never ends. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... But it was okay to slam Clinton for whatever he did, and it was okay to slam Quayle cuz he couldn't spell, etc, etc... No difference. If you're in the public eye and you do something that makes you look stupid... you have to expect to be called stupid. And all the books and websites on "Bushisms" prove that! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Agreed. Sadly, that is very true as well. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

who? Nah, we just play them better, why make you look bad Besides you have soccer and that funny baseball like game where you hold the bat the wrong way. Hey, now that I think about it - you have NFL Europe! I've played Irish Football a bunch of times - great game. You know its a real sport when you are still walking with a limp a week after the game. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... So, who do you think will end up winning? Think the BoSox finally have a chance to break their curse against their nemisis? I think this championship series will be bigger than who wins the World Series. This has to be the best match up all year! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

Usually the girls could care less. They are all drunk or stoned for the most part because they don't have the courage to do it other wise. I only knew one girl that refused to drink or anything while doing that - funny thing is, she made the most money. They are all in it for the money and the live a lifestyle that most of the money is spent by the next weekend. Most of the women have no respect for men other than how much money they can give them. I'd never do it again, its a subculture that I can do without in my life. Every guy at every party thought it was a great job, but it was very boring having to deal with drunk idiots five times a night, esp when I had to encourage them not to be violent. It really amazed me how many men out there want to hurt women physically once they are drunk. It's not a fun job. Yup, I have plenty of stories. Plus I could care less if I ever go to a strip club or see a stripper again. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... How many stories do you want? I used to be a bouncer. The best one? A guy thought he was smart and didn't wear any underwear so he couldn't get a wedgie or have to wear the eleastic as a headband after the tore it off. The very drunk stripper walked into the kitchen grabbed the 10" chef knife, sat on his back and started to cut off the waste of his jeans. I knew how wasted she was and yet all of his friends cheered her on. The guy would have missed his wedding day if I hadn't stopped her when she decided she could get more leverage by pushing the knife thru the jeans from the outside towards his back _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I bet that would not happen to you if it was in a bag! _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

It has happened quite a few times on this board since it started up. Me? Been there done that but my ending was not as cheerful. Long distance has some serious downfalls. Often there are too many negative outside forces working against you, and there is nothing you can do about it. On Saturday I am standing up in my friends wedding that met this way via Match.com. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... That is exactly what I was thinking. I've found that "out of sight, out of mind" works well when taking my rig on a flight. If it can't been seen what it is, no one can question me. Besides, I don't like the idea that my rig could be bounced around in the overhead, snag on something, pull the reserve or worse. That extra protection as people aggressivly pull their luggage out from above is much needed - the marks on my gear bag are proof of that. For me I've only had trouble at the screen in table about 50% of the time and the best bet was to be as prepared, polite and informed as you were. I always add some extra travel time if I bring my rig because of that. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I thought I saw somewhere they're making a new Superman movie. It will suck. Chris Reeve will always be Superman to me. R.I.P. --Art He had been playing a role, btw, on Smallville helping the new Clark Kent understand his destiny. It was very cool seeing him on that show. It's odd, watching parts of your childhood fade away, isn't it? Despite the fact that I didn't know the guy I had always hoped that he would accomplish his goal to walk again. Yes, they are making a new Superman and if I am not mistaken it will be out the summer of 2006. Bryan Singer, the director of both X-Men movies, will be filming it. The bad part about that is Fox pulled his contract for X3 because of this. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Agreed. And lately I've had too many as well. Doesn't help that I can't get in the air anytime soon. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

And you have to wonder why the US didn't want anyone to keep an eye on that stuff. Ah, I see....they were against the invasion and Bush doesn't allow anyone into the country that was against the war. Now that stupid pride has nuclear equipment going ::poof:: on our watch. Noice. So, lets take stock of the situation. This stuff is missing, the weapons dumps were stolen and are now being used against our troops, terrorists now have a foothold in that country, we are spread thin and can't focus on the real danger points in the world causing terrorism to grow, and our allies feel less safe due to our actions and the world as a whole feels that our invasion into Iraq has increased the threat of terrorism. Add to the fact that we look like a fool because there never were WMD there. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Yeah, and my other hobby is rifle shooting. So I'm around noisy airplanes, noisy freefall, and noisy guns, nearly every weekend. I'm probably already going deaf... Huh? What did you say? It's funny until you start having hearing loss. Take it from me, its not fun. I have CC on my tv almost all of the time, if not I have the volume turned up LOUD. Most people think I am yelling at them when I think I talking at normal volume. "Huh? What? Say that again?" are the most common phrases you will hear from me on a daily basis. Get some earplugs for freefall and the airplane. You will be thankful later on. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....

It was easy to call Kerry the winner in the first one. I saw all but the first two questions. It's hard to say who won. Bush did good, a lot better than the first time. He was composed and watched his body language the entire time. He was better prepared on the debate on the war, but he also showed a lack of respect to the moderator when he talked over him on at least one or two occasions. Most of his responses were canned and often repeated, and didn't always answer the question asked. Bush also stuck to his catch phrases as an answer "clear skies" "no child behind" and pretending those were answers instead of giving the details asked for. And pretendin to be a President that is friendly to the environment was the best laugh I had that night. However, Kerry did a lot of the same - he didn't answer the questions, often repeated what he had said on a previous occasion. Kerry at one point had dominated with a couple of answers but then went on the defensive and it felt like he was playing catch up at times when he was going back two or three questions in a response. Bush did better than last time, kerry didn't do as good as the first time....but neither one of them did great. Pretty much a tie in my books. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....
