I know rope rescue, and the saying with us is that the system is only as strong as the weakest link. Ie rope rated at 5000 lbs harness rated at 4000lbs, rigging plate 10,000 but 1 d-ring rated at 2000 lbs brings the whole system down to a max loading of 2000 lbs. With that being said I am looking for a site that has all the gear compontents listed out with their load limit. Ie type webbing-3000lb, d-ring 1000lbs mini risers 300 lbs regular risers 500lbs. Just for personal knowledge on what is the weakest link on our gear so I can pay attention to them, and identify the danger points. Paragear has a good listing of this under the riggers supply part of their site, anyone else got a better source.

What kind of clubs do you go to?

I am going on 3 weeks since my last jump. It is due to the 3 deadly W's WORK, WEATHER, WEALTH I am ashamed at my jump numbers for the year, something like 18. I did buy a rig in that time, and rental gear was $50 a jump with packjob. Numbers are about to get to go up to 6-12 jumps a month soon.

I left out the rest. Just trying to get a feel of what is out there, and at what level most people are on, or stopped at. There is probbaly a poll out there already, but it cannot be reversed to show current data, so this is a fresh one.

I agree I am used to a big rig, I dont think a small rig will make anyone cool, I think they do it for the shock value. I will have a sport rig that fits a reserve that is bigger than my main, or I will not buy it. I know canopy type and material makes a big difference in similar sizes also.

Ok thanks I did not know that it took that long to clear a certified check. I thought it was backed up by funds when they got it. But if they made it themselves then it is not backed by anything. NOOO) and the back was a clear plastic that every one could see through and Kenny Blankenship(sp again) the announcer started doing the MXC "Painful Eliminations of the day" reruns of us doing it with wierd angles and comments?! I was like WTF did I eat to make me dream that!? I was pissed, after waking up I could not go back to sleep and find out if I won!

Can I give the check to the bank and tell them to check it out and let me know when they are sure it is real and legit then I will send the gear. I would NEVER send gear before I recieve verified hard funds. Will that work. I just sold some gear to a guy who I just new was a fake, and turned out to be a pro in this sport. I felt like a idot. I am not so sure that this guy is not just a guy looking for gear all off dz.com and used the same wording to ask for the gear. The person that sent me the e-mail never tried to use the "I send you overfunds you send me money back" scam, but it could be a fake check. Let me know what I can do so I can tell this guy whats up.
