  1. I totally missed the fact that it was out of service as a reserve lol. I think with my dry weight at 255lbs I would be comming down like a rock under a 26 footer lol. I would still like risers and a rig for it even if it is not airworthy, just to have a way to wear it.
  2. The person I bought it from said it was condemed due to service life. It has no risers. Some risers and a rig to put it in would be nice so you can wear it while sitting on a skateboard, or a piece of cardboard while sliding thorough the fields. Anyone got gear to help us out?
  3. It hit me in the face after playing with it I realized that you fold the bottom of the diaper towards the apex, and wamm it all came together. The stows are intersecting in realtion to to the canopy it goes right and left. The one I saw this weekend was parallel with the canopy. The combo of not having rubber bands in the top grommets and me thinking the stows run apex to skirt was messing me all up. Thanks.
  4. Hey I just received one to play with on windy days, and I am having trouble figuring out how the diaper stows start out. I have it laid out apex and risers in tension, diaper on the floor, panels(gores whatever) flaked, and ready to go. The diaper has 4 grommets at each corner, and 10 rubber bands on each side. How do you start the stows? are there supposed to be rubber bands on 2 opposing grommets? The makers site(National) showed how to do the basics, but did not discuss proper flaking, and how to use the diaper at all. I just helped a rigger repack one this weekend, so it is fresh in my head just need a little help. Thanks
  5. Thanks I will look into that. I also need to review my health insurance to see what it has to say about hospital bills and skydiving.
  6. I know this has been asked a 1000 times, but I cannot decypher through the rants and BS. What is a good cheap place to get life insurance that covers us?
  7. Wendy's frosties and salty hot fries at the same time mmmmmmmmm.....
  8. I wonder what the deal with this is? Is it the lower pressures or the vibration of the otter that summons up the stank, but at about 8k, and 12k there is alot of people farting lol. We havent figured out why it happens at 8k, but we guessed the releases at 12k are tandems and nervous students letting out a little FEAR! lol
  9. You would know why I am asking this sparky. My MT1-XXagve me 2 floating ripcords(both I reached and found) this weekend so I had it changed to BOC. My rigger sewed a spandex pouch on the bottom of the rig, a 3 inch piece of velcro that leads from the mouth of the pouch to under the flap that the bridle goes on. Then we installed a approx7' bridle and a 36'' pilot chute. I have yet to jump it. You think the 36'' is good enough. I have already jumped the DZ's MT1-XX that has been converted this way, and I love it. A little more about the floting ripcords. The main deployment ripcord fits outboard on the right MLW. It fits sung in the pocket, but on 2 consecutive RW jumps it came out in my track near pull time. I just looked over at it and deployed like normal.
  10. Mine is pointing no where at the moment. The leather necklace that it was on dry rotted and broke. I am looking into other options to wear it with. I have always wanted a gold rope necklace, and my brother in law is a jewler so I am going to see if he can do something cool.
  11. Thanks bill that is the ball park figures I was looking for. The reason for the season was to see how much pressure is applied to the bridle and pin at the attachment point.
  12. Well the data in his book that I could find only had it at 35 mph. The other data was in a wind tunnel at 120 mph which at this point is the only number I have.
  13. Where does the money go then? Man hours, sample equipment, testing equipment, or the actual fees of the paperwork?
  14. I read that on a base forum too. There was something about a dislocated shoulder somewhere in that post also.lol
  15. A. I was hesitant to respond to your comments...but my attitude about homosexuality is great. I have 3 gay friends 1 guy(x-coworker) and 2 girls. I am simply asking a question if the way it pointed means anything at all. Stop always being defensive people, and read. B Get over it and find your self something else to do than criticize others. Only ment to Dougiefresh
  16. Me and my wife were talking today as she just got a new closing pin necklace that is pink. We were wondering with all the indicators for the gay community such as "rainbow stickers", guys with ear rings in the right ear only, and yellow hankerchiefs - if there was a certain way guys, girls, gays (\seinfeld voice) not that there is anything wrong with that kinda thing(/seinfeld voice) OR freefliers, crw, ect. wear their pins? I mean we had never heard this discussed before.
  17. (Ok I did a search, and did not come up with the numbers I wanted. The base guys had a excel on a website, but the link was bad) I have a
