  1. Just follow the seams. That is where a packing tab would be sewn anyways. That is how I do it.
  2. I will be doing editing proally once a month, but will play Multi player first person shooter games online weekly. I am about to leave to go get her I will post my results later. Thanks
  3. Ok so armed with the new info about shared graphics I went back to investigate that toshiba. I opened the task manager and took note of the availiable ram then opened up a movie trailer in windows media player, and the available ram went down to only 74mb from a total of 512 availiable. That shocked the hell out of me. So I got a better helper that knew more about the computers than the guy that was there last night. He suggested a Gateway 7405X it has the same features as the toshiba, but it runs on a Athalon P64 3200+ and uses a Radeon 9600 deticated 64mb graphics card. It had quake 3 and halo on it, he let me play it, and the graphics were better than my desktop that has a 128 g force in it. It was cheaper too. At $1249 I can afford to throw another 512 in the ram, and get a Wireless router also.
  4. I will pay it off in 2 weeks. I have worked a special detail for 7 days and pay day is comming soon.
  5. Yea I am bummed a bit about the shared graphics I never have delt with it before but I hear it lacks. You say spend the extra money for the deticated graphics. I asked if it could be swapped out and best buy said no. Are you implying that I should stay with the computer class, but try to find it in a better graphics?
  6. I am using this for multi-player gaming, dv editing, general bs. My options in a PC are at least 2.5 gig processor, 128 graphics, at least 512 ram, 50+gb HD, a large screen, built in wireless G, firewire, and other minute stuff. Price was not over 1800$. This is what I found at best buy. Toshiba Satilite P35 S609 . For 1599 with 12 months interest free. It has P4 3.2 GHZ 512 Ram expandable to 2 GIG 128 Radedon graphics(SP?) 17'' WXGA Display 80 GIG 7200 rpm hard drive DVD+-RW/CDRW drive 3 2.0 USB 1 Firewire multi card reader slot 802.11G onboard internet rj45 wired lan What do you think I am planning to be there when they open in the morning to buy it. I have never had a toshiba before.
  7. or wait till they retire them and they become some sort of surplus and get de milled.
  8. I think they only sell to military. I tried to call to get info on a rig I have made by them one time and they refused to say anything.
  9. Heard there were plans, also heard that those plans were squashed. From my observations the DZO wants to, but the proposed site was a wash...but you know how the rumor mill works.
  10. I diddn't state WHAT I would kill lol Kittens?
  11. I can't believe this story is comming around again. My dad came up to me asking about it stating that he heard it happened this month. I thought it might be a new story, but as soon as he started telling me the story I knew it was the one from years ago.
  12. Your damn right I have my eye on that thing I would kill to jump it!
  13. carrol of the bells with metallica I think was awesome
  14. Yea you are right I know next to nothing about BASE. That is why I stated in my first post I wanted a mentor, but there seems to be none in Louisiana that are regulars. I did not want to come off as someone who thinks they know it all, just wanting to show that just because someone has -100 jumps doesn't mean that they have NO clue about skydiving. I frequently hear people with more jumps than me, not knowing the term for the person that stages outside the plane(floater), and not knowing that when you exit feet facing the relative wind to have your feet on your ass, what a rsl does, most have never packed themselves, what a FCX is how it works, do not know how to flat, brake turn did not know the techniques for getting movement into a headwind, make it back from a long spot, front risering in to get down faster, laying in deep rears to sink it in. I am not a fool I take the calculated risk as most do instead of walking blindly into trouble.
  15. I caught the 99 problems but a bitch aint one song, and it rocked. Jay-z IMO is the best at rapping acoustic, and situations like last night.
  16. here are the pics I took see what you can tell me about the different stitch patterns. Up top it shows the patterns in white and red? , the knob has 4 pictures a red dot and a setting called modifier with a H and L. I know the stitch spacing and presser foot settings.
  17. I am 6'4 255 Firefighter/Rescue diver. No one said I was going to go jumping tomorrow. And if you were looking for a time line my first jump is scheduled for bridge day next year. As far as harking on the MT-xx it will be here long after your is hanging from the rafters. I have 3 landings on rear risers and have been on everything from a 2 way to 8 way hybrid, 2 tracking dives, crosswind landings, downwind landings, stood up the last 25 landings. I know more about the gear and the sport than most jumpers at my dz with 200 jumps. Every weekend I am finding myself giving answers to higher number jumpers to questions they never heard of. I spend all my time reading, watching, and lurking. Know more about your prey before you attack. Base GOD!
  18. Gotcha All I need is something 310ish black with a black container
  19. True. So your saying if a person were to stick with jumping only that 1750' A that things should be alright as far as gear goes. I am thinking of a pro and a 310 for base gear if I stay in the sport, just would like to get mentored and make a few off this A before I buy into something I wont stick with.
  20. Thanks Like I said I will run a few samples as well as take a picture of the knob to let you guys tell me what setting on the knob-what pattern. From what I played with it will do the straight stitch as well as do the straight stitch 2 times before moving on. It will do what I think is a zig-zag in single and doubles. It will also do something like what is used for stiching on letters for hats and such, just a slow forward moving back and forth creating a wide or narow path of stitching. I will post back tonight
  21. I wondered about the MT1-XX with a 36'' PC for a one time high 1750' A. I can see the problems with a low close to the object and ground jump with the XX canopies, but what about something like a tall guyed A with a stiff breeze blowing you far from the strike hazards and a large landing area? P.M. if anyone has any suggestions.
  22. I got my moms what looks like a 1980's kemore 10 model 158.12511 machine. The thing is brand new, the pedal doesn't have a scratch on it. I searched for a users manule on the net, but only came up with one place. It was a paper instead of a PDF(I ordered it) so I am sitting here wondering how this thing works. It only came with a "quick 3 users guide"( half assed diagram on how to set up the spool bobin and thread)so I have no clue what the stitch patterns are, and what type of oil to use(is 3n1 oil ok?) and where. I had some light 1'' webbing that i started sewing on, and it seems to have a few useful looking patterns. My problem is that I don't know what to call the patterns, so when someone says to use____ pattern so sew something I have no clue what to set the nob on. When I get home today I will take pictures of the stitch selector icons and see if you guys can put a name to the pictures.
  23. I ended up getting a Titanium I.R. Series Super Wide 0.42X AF high resolution video wide angle. We will see how it goes in a few days.
  24. Can you go into more detail about that process Ie. What brand, how to apply, one thick coat, a couple light coats, only on the top skin, or the mesh too? Thanks.
  25. Yep I have a spare spring loaded PC after I did my BOC conversion on a MT1-XX. I would love to get my hands on that "PARIS" canopy and do a Cross Country from 10k at least once! I think it stated it had something like a 5or6:1 glide ratio.
