low jump numbers, camera and low exits
cvfd1399 replied to cavscout73's topic in Safety and Training
I was referring to it being safer to be at 1.25 on a navigator student type canopy vs a katana. It is safer to be on the navigator in that situation, but according to the chart 1.25 is 1.25 regardless of canopy type or size. We're not debating 1.1 vs 1.25. Obviously when you increase your WL you increase risk, that was never doubted, and as I said earlier Brian's chart is genious, with a few sidebar notations. -
Sure it will once they get some more hand picked stats from that research, they will use it to justify more laws and liberty infringements.

Your confusing the NRA's respectful quietness after the shootings with the politicians fear mongering.
-
I wonder how many politicians are making money off of this knowingly. I am aware you can have mutual funds, and stocks with an obscure name that owns hundreds of companies and not know they own a gun company. Just like the teachers union in CA

Obama pondering using executive decision on gun control
cvfd1399 replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
I've heard from a few officers who said their department would not enforce anything, and use the excuse they don't have enough manpower/time, but we will get to it if we can. -
Very valid point!

I already have no respect for him, and completely believe he is capable of going about a ban this way. I said it in September to my wife and friends, and I believe it now. -
Why Not Renew the “Assault Weapons” Ban? Well, I’ll Tell You…

Holy shit, that's that was entertaining, and true bravo! -
Public or private property you can be banned from entering the premises. Let it be known to him he is not to come back. If he does call LEO have him charged with trespassing. History: We kept having break ins, and damage to our vehicles with no proof of who did it. We also had a crazy man always come and want to use our bathroom, and would always leave a mess. He would also hide in the bushes and scare the women workers at night. We called LEO, and asked to have him banned, and charged if he came back on the property. It was researched and found to be a legal order. This is 100% public property, so your subsidized situation would be even more valid I would think.
-
Is this all theoretical or actual? Because for any solution we give, you can just keep changing the rules. If there is a square foot of land in the US, there is some form of LEO that has jurisdiction. My answer is you get an OPC order of protective custody. Here you go through the coroners office of all places with details and proof, and the local LEO picks them up and brings them to mental hospital for 72 hour evaluation if the coroner's office says its warranted.. ( I was typing this before you posted above me, so anything I say here was before the post you typed)

I agree it's slower, but not barbaric like a muzzle loader or something

What's so hard about reloading an m1? You don't have to remove a mag, just insert from top and push down, it's not like your feeding it in one by one like a 30/30.

Or just go down this list and pick any non military round you want if you don't like me using the 30-06. I counted 50 on the first page that was more powerful than the 223 http://www.lone-star-armory.com/library/Ballistics-Classic-Cartridges.pdf
-
The army, what's your point, he is saying that the .223 is so lethal civilians should not have access to it. My point is that there are hundreds of other rounds that are equal or more powerful. He is trying to play it off like the civilians are getting military surplus, and they needs to be stopped so we don't have access to them. That won't change a thing
-
This general is a complete fucking idiot when it comes to guns. He may be a fine person and commander but he needs to shut the hell up. 223. Feet per second 3000. Muzzle energy 1300 ft lbs 30-06 feet per second 2910. Muzzle energy 2808 ft lbs The first is a standard military round. The second is a hunting round that has been around since 1906, and is more lethal and damaging.

8 felonies, 2 misdemeanors. Was in violation of parole, stuck a sword through a persons window screen that day, scared a friend with the same knife hours before this incident. That same woman who was raising hell and crying in that video was the same one he was charged for battery against in the past. Good riddance!

The district attorneys forensic revie of the dash cam. Showed the suspect with a large knife in hand as he got out of the truck, and a knife sheath in his waistband.
