    Defend Bush all you want; it still happened under his watch. His political capital is vastly diminished at a point in his mandate where it will be very hard if not impossible to regain. Mid-term election season begins in earnest in about four months. If bush has not bounced back enough to be an asset to GOP candidates by then, he will have effectively begun his lame duck phase very early.

    This is what makes looting such a serious crime; the authorities do not have time to prosecute the criminal code. Criminal activity such as looting occupies the time and energy of the police and other citizens die for want of their attention. President bush should declare martial law and looters should be shot on sight.

    Sure! As long as it is the wider version with the aft cabin big enough for a couple of radar operators. That version has a nice (albeit small) personnel door just aft of the wing.

    Not really. The bill in the Ontario legislature was introduced by an opposition (minority party) back bencher. It was given first reading over a year ago and will go no further. In parliamentary systems like in Canada or UK opposition bills never get anywhere unless they are real motherhood issues. This bill exists on the order paper as a courtesy to the member so he can be seen to be doing something for his rural constituents (the family of the dead guy in this case). The bill will hang around for the rest of the session and then die a quiet death. As for the activist, Allen Roulston has been out of the sport for a couple of years after becoming PNG at virtually every drop zone in Canada. He causes a bit of mischief now and then, but mainly just rages at the weather.
