Now I see why you didn't introduce me formally.......
  4. Ah yes, the Monkey Claw dudes, pervayors of global mayhem. Where did you run into them at? what about the littl game that involves 2 metal objects, an electrical outlet and a few friends without a pacemaker?
  5. in reply to "You might also want to think twice about doing local guys, there are alot of ramifications there to think about. " bbwbwwhwwhhahahahhahahahhahahahhahaha NOW THAT IS FUNNY!!!! HAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHAH
  6. depends on who it is for!!
  7. to bad when the "full profile" link is clicked on it gives all that info anyway!
  8. nah, never stare at Joey's ass.... he's not my type, specifically cause he's a he....
  9. back when I had about 200 jumps, a very experienced packer said to me... "200 jumps, eh? that's a good number -- enough jumps to have some knowledge and not be to dangerous in the air, and not to many jumps to think you know everything and become dangerous in the air" that's kind of stayed with me, I don't take anything for granted, check everything before exit and try not to think of my myself invincible, cause Im not.
  10. in response too:"new asses to watch " does Joey need to know about you watching Jamie's ass so close?
  11. It wasn't me that was saying getting tossed off the DZ, it's more of a safety concern for me (and I wasn't implying your team was not good, I was relating to Paul's comments). When I'm doing 4 way (99% of my skydives), I'm concentrating on my clone, all the reference points and where I have to be in the sky for the next point, not a free flier that is going to join the formation. Fun is cool, I'm all for it, as long as it is safe.
  12. In Florida there is a lot of good press, most of it generated by the NSL and Kurt's attempts at promoting the sport. After the Shamrock Showdown there were 3 stations that covered DeLand Majik's win and there was a piece on CNN about it. The FOx morning show also interviewed Doug Park before the event and he got to explain 4 way skydiving and show video and explain all his equipment. He was on air for quite a while (anyone who knows Doug can attest that he can talk himself into almost anywhere).
  13. You don't have to be a premadonna to get upset with it. Understand at the level of 4 way that Quade is filming (I know the folks on his team, well two of them anyway -- they're good), things happen fast and you are only focused on what you are doing with your team mates -- to have a flock come up and funnel your formation would pretty much cause a rucuss, unless it was dirt dove before hand. One of these days we're going to do a hybrid dive with Monkey Claw, all planned and all 4 way formations (they will do the moves in a vertical plane, we will be horizontal), much planning and prep will go into it. Just think if the team was practicing blocks that required a vertical move, It would really ruin someones day if the free flier was coming in while the individual was popping up for the vertical and they collided.
  14. it's probalby more the fact that you're on Zpo fabric, so you get a truer glide than on the regular un-coated fabric (techically F-111 fabric was a trade name and is not manufactured anymore). Even though your 190 was fairly new, it was still probably venting a lot more air than you think. My experience has been that people tend to shorten brake lines when they get a canopy, dont' know why, but maybe it's a comfort thing when they pull down just a little something happens. Of course, that makes using your risers not an integral part of flying the canopy then (as you found out).
  15. that's cause they're all cool, and I'd rather just run the color commentary... :)
  16. usually when you file as early as you did it's a fairly quick turnaround. Did you keep a copy of the return (you should have, along with all the supporting papers). If so, you should probably call them and ask if you can re-submit it.
  17. no wonder you like CSS so much..... hahahahhahahahah
  18. I myslef thought it to be a pretty good troll, especially with his response later on... BTW, FWIW to teh original poster-- the current privately owned, biggest company is probably Koch Industries, but you'll never know cause they don't release that info. The bigger public companies would require some sort of hostile take over that requires another company of equal or bigger size to capitalize it. You've got a pretty long road ahead of you... :)
  19. Skymedic can tell you that those IR devices can actually work through roofs..... :)
  20. did someone re-set them (the brakes) shorter when they got it and deviate from factory specs? I noticed on my Velocity that the control range is longer and deeper - almost identical to my Crossfire, but the Stilleto range is much shorter and higher (jumped all three last weekend).
  21. He's shooting Vid of 4way team, typically that slot is picked up by the team....
  22. some people will argue with that (slow down before deployment), I dont' have an opinion either way. I did have an interesting observation this weekend, Rickster Powell was filming us (4 way), and he like to play around and film deployments, so everyone was getting turns at getting their deployments on tape. I noticed that everyone was dearching at pull time, I even tried not to, and on the video, there was a slight de-arch. weird.
  23. I know, that was my point, I even packed the original pack job (and didn't slam myslef to bad either)
  24. in response to: I've been told the key is going on the G of Go if you aren't linked. Have never done it linked though a lot of it depends on the type of skydive, too, on an 8 way for instance, everyone can leave together as long as everyone puts their body where it needs to be on the relative wind.
