  1. It's also over the FAA twenty five pound limit. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  2. I made it a point to include "politicians" in the title. As for "loopholes", some think anyone being able to buy guns is a loophole. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  3. It is called Operation Popeye, look it up. The reason I showed that particular presentation, is because it pointed out the fault in Quade's argument. I did look it up, again. I still don't see any scientific evidence or evaluation of results. Most of it is conspiracy theorist tin foil hat moron level discourse. The rational pieces all concur that there is no available valid results data. There was one swag from DIA, but it's well established that their numbers were just throwing out what administration wanted to hear. Do you have any verified numbers? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  5. Still waiting for you to offer any "valid arguments". The video you posted is no more evidence than the crazy big haired guy that history channel always gets to talk about aliens. He's been on TV! It just be true! witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  6. “The California Senate on Wednesday approved a package of seven gun control bills, including background checks for people who buy ammunition, introduced in response to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.” Well, the latimes.com would say that wouldn’t they? Not to mention burying the big kahuna in the tenth paragraph. “The Senate also approved a bill that would outlaw the sale, purchase and manufacture in California of semiautomatic rifles that can accept detachable magazines. SB 374 also would require those who own such weapons to register them with the state.” California Senate approves seven gun control bills MotherJones article on the bills By the way, WTF is a "bullet button"? Are they talking about the magazine release?!? ETA These are the things they wanted. I have to see if some of them are dead or still pending. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  12. What are you using for "ground station"? ETA: Nice setup. I was helping out with installing an old pan titl zoom pelco. Hashing out control was easy, but them dealing with the weight was , judging by the increase in profanity and flung hardware, not a lot of fun. That project really needs two controllers though: one pilot and one camera operator. The really cool ideas thrown around were shrinking linear sensors and adding laser range finders for 3D mapping. Sonar was thrown around in the bull session, but none of them know anything about it. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  13. Well done professor. Well done. I just had the joy of describing diffusion and osmosis, and then trying for ten minutes to convince an idiot that no, they are not the same thing. I had to settle for "write what you want, I tried. If you want to fail that's your problem." witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  14. This was a secondary parade, called a "second line" parade. Not the official parade. It was not officially sanctioned by the city. This would be no different than a group of folks outside a football game playing football. They are not the Patriots nor the Giants. Yes, they are playing football, but the NFL didn't sponsor them. You're showing your ignorance of New Orleans culture and second line history. This second line parade did require a permit and did have one. As stated, carrying at or near this event was illegal, CHL or no. Oh I agree, but look at how this thread started. It's important to refute emotional nonsense with cold hard facts. Also, I don't know their specific criminal history. Drugs charges, or even convictions, don't necessarily remove firearms rights. It would have to be a felony conviction, judicial ruling of incompetence, or involuntary commitment to a mental health facility. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  15. This was not an official parade. Your other points are valid, this one is not. TK, why are the most liberal parts of a city normally the ones with the higher crime rates? Incorrect. A permit was issued. That's all it takes to put this law into effect. It would have been a crime to carry concealed at or near the parade, whether you had a permit or not. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  16. Federal gun control is on the back burner. For them it's never really dead. However at the state and local level it is most assuredly not dead. And if its alive and well in state bills that are becoming law, is it really that far from being introduced into the house or senate? Look at New York, Massachusetts, California, and others. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  17. You noticed that there were three separate quotes in there right, not just the magazine idiocy? I was going to add some more idiocy and them move to intentional misrepresentation and downright lies. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  18. US Rep Diane Degette: Magazines can only be used once And this is a topic she says she's passionate about. How little does she know about topics that she isn't passionate about? VP Biden: Assault weapons aren't used by criminals, so no one needs one Sen Feinstein: I've seen imploding bullets Much worse than the imploding bullet idiocy is her ideas on enough is enough. Her view of civil liberties: isn't that enough? How much do you people want? Why shouldn't we limit citizens to 3000 models of gun? Really? Maybe we should limit the first to only ten newspapers, or only 10,000 books. Biden is just too easy. We could use his "warning blasts from a double barrel shotgun" bit. Or we could use the "just shoot through the door" rant. But my favorite from him recently has to be the "shotgun rounds don't go through walls" comment. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

  20. Nothing soecial about it. (Might define the people as special, but thats another issue) I'm just fed up with that particular bit of idiocy at the moment. I've had more than my fill. The dumbest one I can think of is "water memory". Yeah, water remembers that it had onion years ago, but forgets all the fecal matter. OK. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Additional interesting printing story: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/05/robert-farago/fancy-a-titanium-defcad-liberator/ Side note: if a nonferrous metal like aluminum (not polarized) is run through a magnetometer at a security checkpoint, does it sound an alarm or pass through quietly? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  23. I meant specifically on the topic of element number nine. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  24. Please, Please, PLEASE don't bring up element number 9. I am so freaking sick of hearing ignorant fuckwits spouting off about subjects outside their knowledge and far beyond their understanding. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
  25. Maybe next he'll lecture us on 9/11 nanothermite. Or maybe it's time for another "income tax is illegal" rant.
