It's called sarcasm. Maybe I should have put in a smiley. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Maybe we should run everyone through Guantanimo just to make sure they still pledge allegiance and salute the flag. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Oh, don't worry, I'm a big fan of the Republicrat idea. One coin. Two sides. No Cash value. I prefer libertarians and other strict constitutional constructionists. I vote for the lesser of two evils until Ctulthu throws his name into the ring. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

So these people not only want voting places to be "victim disarmament zones," they even want off duty cops to be disarmed. So much for the "we've got nothing against law abiding gun owners" schtick. When are these freaking people going to realize that if somebody wants to shoot up a polling place, they are not going to stop and ask permission. A regular Joe who votes every year is not a threat. Why do they insist on treating him like one? Why do they want to treat off duty cops like they are a threat? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

So according to you, nobody who is white male and either a Rep or Dem is worth a damn. Gee, I'm sorry you feel that way about me and most other American males. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Is it me, or did Edwards basically say to Demos "keep fighting etc etc," and everything that is 100% contradictory to reconciliation and unifying America? I particularly didn't approve of his "the mother of the son who went to Iraq and won't be coming home" line. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Hillary Clinton is a female version of Kerry. The democrats need to find a replacement for Bill Clinton, and his wife isn't it. They need somebody who will take some of the red states, particularly in the south. They need a person will real appeal, who the voters can connect with (even if it's one sided). The probably have to look to governors from the south or the midwest. Their senators either don't have the party line, or they don't have the "like-ability" factor. =========================================== I think Condoleeza Rice would be a great choice for VP, but only if she has an IMMENSELY popular presidential candidate. As for Republican head honcho candidates, I don't know. I'm sure a few senators have their eyes on the prize, but I think it'll be a cabinet member/appointee, or it'll be a republican governor who gets the nod in 2008. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Maybe it's harder to see in another country, but here in the states, Hillary is as much an extremist as Bush is, maybe more. Remember, a lot of the world preferred Kerry in polls just before the election. Doesn't matter. The choice is made here in the states, and Hillary would bring unimaginable opposition to any nationwide election. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

I hope you realize that (A) we have a lot of teachers and construction people over there right now, and (B) the more teachers we send over there, the more the radicals accuse us of indoctrinating their young and attacking their religion. Taking our soldiers out of the country will just give the bad guys more hostages and targets to do with what they will. The soldiers are there for a reason, and bringing them home would result in horrible consequences. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Nah, they're saying crap because they're worried Edwards will have to start chasing ambulances again, cutting into their own slip and fall racket. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Obama is a terrible choice just because so many people won't vote for anything different next election. Hillary is even worse because she is a woman and another of the five or six most liberal faces in the Senate. For Demos, they need a powerful politicians with an unknown name. They need to make him a household name in the next four years. The best thing Demos could do for themselves is change the primary process. They need to make it so that a few states don't screw the rest of the states. (Kerry was hardly their best choice) Same thing is true for the Repubs, since they need a new face for 2008. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

5:45 am EST CNN shows Republicans announcing victory "with at least 286 electoral votes." President Bush wins popular vote by around 3.5 million votes President Bush won the majority of the popular vote. The Democratic Party has stooped the lowest I could ever imagine.

I'll say it here so it's in both threads: The final tally will either be Bush 286 Kerry 252 or Bush 279 Kerry 259 (the difference being Iowa's 7 Elec Votes) witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1* -
My prediction is that the final tally will be either Bush 286 Kerry 252 or Bush 279 Kerry 259 (not sure on Iowa, but it's leaning Bush still) I never thought I'd say this, but I wish the Democrats would take an eleciton tip from Nixon and not challenge something that is beyond their winning. Somehow, I doubt Kerry/Edwards will even be able to live up to the low standard of Tricky Dick. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

You're not missing anything, but you're not seeing the whole picture. Yes, there are still a great many votes to be counted. But that is only important in a few states (all the others are beyond being changed). The most influential state is Ohio. It has been called for President Bush by several news stations (MSNBC, FOXNews, et al). There are many votes to be counted in Ohio, more than Bush's margin of victory. However, for Kerry to take the state, he would need to miraculously take the uncounted votes by 5 or 6 to 1. He would need to win virtually 100% of the uncounted votes, and that's not going to happen. Hence, Bush wins Ohio. With Bush winning Ohio, and Bush winning Nevada (as ahs been called by CNN and a few others), he is over the 270 required to win. THe problem is that of the stations that have called Ohio for Bush, none of them have called Nevada. Of the stations that have called Bush, not have called Ohio. He has won the states, but no station has called both for him yet. It's over, and he's won, but it will be a painful couple of days until the majority of people accept that as true. (as seen in the last election, some people will never accept it) witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

There are only three states in question. Just about every state is still counting, but they are decided. It's over. Bush has got 274. He will get 5, 7, or 12 more E votes. (Iowa, Nevada, both) witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Weren't you one of the people bitching about the electoral college last time? Are you going to say we should decide close elections on the popular vote again this year? Ohio belongs to Bush. New Mexico belongs to Bush. As far as I can see, Bush has won with 274 electoral votes, with 22 still out. (10 leaning Kerry, 7 leaning Bush, and 5 truly up in the air) The only states that are still out are Wisconsin, Iowa, and Nevada. I now declare it over. I'm going to finish my tea and relax in the broken in/down recliner. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

OK, that's what I thought (flashlight instead of the rail thing). Just curious, have you ever considered a crossdraw holster instead of your SOB? You'd think someone would offer a holster specifically for that model. I wouldn't be happy with anything but their best effort for that gun. I'm a stickler for holster fit. I may have given them a show, but I told the gun store folks that if I can't do somersaults and retain it, then I'm not happy. I also didn't want a retention strap because it's enough BS to get to an ankle holster to begin with. It took a while, but I found a Galco ankle that made me happy. Great fit for my Taurus. It's kind of funny feeling the cylinder on your ankle when you've only grown up with semi-autos. Takes some getting used to, no doubbt about that. I'm wondering if it'll be strange to switch back to a small auto when I get my matching pair of Glocks. Come on people. Leave the issue debates for other threads. This one is for following the election. Give the grandstanding a break for just a little while, huh? I think more New Jersey people died in the WTC than New Yorkers if you don't count NYC residents. And would you look at that, New Jersey is a toss up for the first time in forever. New York is always a Demo state. That's just the way it is. The thing to see is that NJ normally is too. Not tonight, though. When the Demo mayor of NYC comes out and says he voted for Bush becuase of Security/Defense, you know something big is in the works. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Sorry Dave. I'd love to help, but my only actual experience is with synthetics, and that's for ankles only. Not exactly how you want to carry a Kimber full size with rail atachments. I'm very curious about the tuck rigs you see from DeSantis and Galco (tucking the shirt in outside the gun inside the pants, "j-hook"). Seems they would slow the draw a bit, but allows for a great deal more flexibility in apparel and motion. I can't wait to try out the DeSantis tuck rig that holds a mag "above" the barrel with my brother's Ruger KP345 (we made it a point to work with each other's gun when we llivede together, obvious reasons). I'll pass the word on that, but as for leather with a rail light, good luck. Maybe you can help me. The biggest issue I have is finding decent shirts that are long enough to keep cover when I raise my arms. I'm only 6'1", but my torso is that of a 6'6" man (short legs for my height). Short of paying outrageous prices for "Big and Tall" stores, where do you find yours? I've actually had the best luck from Cabelas, but I hate not trying them on first. Wait a minute, I'm reading your post before hitting the button, and I'm confused about it now. Are you talking about a TLE/LR with a light on it, or just a pistol with a rail? Leather for a gun with an empty rail shouldn't be that hard, but then I have no practial experience beyond gun store borders, so I'll shut up and hit "post." witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Well, with all the extra interest shown in this election, I think there are a lot of people switching sides for the presidential election. I know a LOT of Democrats who are voting Bush (either becuase they trust him more on security/defense or they just can't trust Kerry). I've also been listening to a lot of Democrats getting out there for Bush (particularly in Ohio). I bet there are a bunch of Republicans who are voting Kerry for wahtever reason. It doesn't have to be true for most people to believe it. With all the usually apathetic "party voters" being bombarded more than ever by political STUFF, there will be people switch hitting for this one. Are there any folks out there in the forum who are voting one party all the way, but voting for the other party's president? (Repubs with Kerry, or Demos with Bush?) witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
