The consensus on wreckdot. is that the very powerful DZOs (AZ, Chicago, Some florida and Calif people) are trying to leverage their voting power so that they can influence our policies and USPA regulations. Please read before you send it in. remeber the first dropzones were clubs and now the biggest are huge money machines where the DZO gets most of the money and employees/students/funjumpers are treated like bill payers

I have Suse. You can come over some time and check it out if you want bloo skies ramon

Yeah the brake lines were too short, bucked hard on a 180 front riser. nice glide and very predictable flare and landing. Good canopy for Zennie. ramon

Vector 3s come in many sizes to fit your reserve and main needs. American Skydiving discount systems price on one is about ~$1050. They along with the mirage are the most secure rigs on the market. (this is my opinion from doing riggin work and BTW every rigger I know jumps a vector). I have the hard cutaway housings in my risers and it still packs up very secure with thoses great riser covers. my main flap is very tight, there is no way it is coming open. there is absolutely nothing inside the main packing tray for a line to snag on. PM me if you want to know a bunch of bad stuff about some rigs I have seen. ramon

My buddy just demoed a Cobalt at 1.4 and he had no problems with it as a first eliptical. I jumped it after and thought it was pretty tame (1.67). He jumped my vengeance too, but that was not for him, too divey and...basically not as easy to land. But he did like the vengeance till he jumped the Cobalt

Heath Richardson of psycho circus is at the Ranch in New York (getting cold now though he may be some where else for winter) Skydive Lake Tahoe is a freefly DZ run by Charles Bryant and Mike Vail (they made Chronicles 1,2,3) and Charles is on the Flyboys now....they offer team and individual coaching also. I'd go to Sky Dive Lake Tahoe or Sebastian, or Perris Valley, or El;oy good lock

I'll be looking for you...want to freefly? bloo skies ramon

What Chuck said... but also (freefly so my chest strap is tight)..loosen your chest strap as much as you can, then pull slider down and your risers will be allowed to spread out and flatten the canopy even more. Even if you are not loaded at 1.9 this can help you get back from a long spot. slider behind head (less drag), canopy flattend doe to spread chest strap and slider at bottom of risers. pull your legs up too for less frontal drag. Make it a habit. more scientific theory... also if you are loading a canopy up more... some of the tiny canopies have shorter lines..., by spreading your risers as far as possible, you lower attachment fulcrum (center of gravity of the suspended weight...you) on your body a little bit (you are a pendulum under the canopy),,if the attachments points are spread more at your container, you will be more stable if you are doing hard toggle turns and thus ... maybe in 2 cases out of 10 prevent self induced line twists

If it's not he will be in the hospital sooner or later and a 238 pound exit weight doesn't exactly fall lightly either. BSBD ramon

I think low is right. .. unless you are spiralling down over the landing area to get lower than people on approach..which is a no no @1000k I pretty much don't hook (that is hard 180 from about 400') unless there is no traffic in my path. It is unfare to spook someone above and below you (assuming you will definitely avoid them. but even worse, people on final will and can decide to do S turns or sachet right in your swoop path, and...know what they still have right of way...so I say play it safe
