Hi Jake, I 'think' I remember them as being something ParaFlite toyed with in the early '90's. IMO they were a solution looking for a problem that did not exist. This, of course, assumes you mean those for sport canopies. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Joe, Yup; except if RFK Jr has his way, that might not work: Louisiana forbids public health workers from promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots : Shots - Health News : NPR It is going to be interesting to watch how many MAGA-idiots, living in these red states, are no longer with us in 2027 or so. Hi Bill, Re: Lee Iacocca, 1972: "If the EPA does not suspend the catalytic converter rule, it will cause Ford to shut down." And, as the head of Chrysler, he railed against air bags. Jerry Baumchen -

Hi Lisa, Re: I don't have a problem with anyone wanting to drive whatever kind of vehicle they want. I'm with you; as long as it is legal. When the 1961 Jaguar XKE came on the market, Tom McCahill wrote that it was a man's mink coat. Tom McCahill - Wikipedia Jaguar E-Type - Wikipedia Jerry Baumchen

Hi 2005, Re: Along with fuel injection, it was one of the best things to ever happen to cars. In 1956, I got my first car; a '47 Chevy. The in-line 6-cyl engine produced 90 HP with a 216 cu inch [ 3.5 liter ] engine. Today, [ as an example only ] the Honda Accord 4-cyl in-line [ 1.5 liter ] engine produces 192 HP. It is mainly because of fuel injection & the advances with it. 'We've come a long way, baby.' Jerry Baumchen -

Hi 2005, Really not that hard to do. Remember how a simple comment by Johnny Carson, on his The Tonight Show, back during the gas shortage in the 70's, caused a run on toilet paper? Gullibility is alive & well in this country. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Looks like some people are going to have a say in the tariffs: Ontario powered 1.5 million homes in the U.S. in 2023 and is a major exporter of electricity to Michigan, Minnesota and New York. Ontario premier says US energy exports will be cut off if Trump imposes sweeping tariffs on Canada | The Hill Trump lives in his own little world; with not a thought to anything or anyone else. More Sacrifices to the First Amendment

Hi Wendy, Re: The way to absolutely protect your daughter is never to let her leave the house That reminds me of a conversation I had at lunch with some guys in Alsip, IL back about 1990. One guy, who had two daughters about 6 and 4, was concerned about them as they would grow up. Since I had one daughter, we got to talking about it. He was a catholic and said, somewhat jokingly, that the answer was to put them into a convent until they were 30. There is no perfect solution. Jerry Baumchen -
