I think it's time to recognize that we have no fuel security and fewer friends. Consequently, it's time to grab those oppressed and underpaid oil company CEO's by the collar and tell them to get after it or else.
-
Yep. I've been tripping on the different pics tonight. Not to party stomp but it makes me think how impossibly short lived our silly civilization will likely be and, in deference to my betters, how akin our existence is to a Rorschach Blot.

Speaking of reality:
-
But think of the awesome business opportunities to come. Were I younger I would definitely have opened a chain of fake beard shops in Kabul after theTaliban took over. Now I'm thinking "Joe's Burqas", finest quality and made in America, too! Now that I could run from the boat and sell exclusively on Amazon. If you're a Federal Judge you could simply accessorize your robe and mask with a Hajib or the black cloth head bag you use for kidnapping individual liberties.

In this case it's drawn at natural variation, of course.

At least we are all in agreement about stealing their kids bikes. I'm starting to get a little wet eyed; you guys are the best.
-
Fine by me. For that matter shoot their dogs and steal their kids bikes, whatever it takes to get the job done in real time.

Back to gas prices, Biden is now planning to release 15 Million Barrels from the reserve with more on offer this winter. The reserve will still have close to 400 Million barrels remaining so no big deal, except at the pumps. That's a good thing. It's anathema to many but I think it's past time to start releasing twice that a year while ramping up US production to both replace stocks and add more to US and our Allies markets. AGW is real but so are brick walls.

You have to wonder if a world without easily accessible carbon based fuels could initiate complex life as we know it here. I have zero disagreement with climate science or that CO2 is warming the planet to what will someday be unfortunate consequences. But looking around I see a lot of reasons to not believe we are a long lived species. It's harsh but if you knew it was better to work on your bucket list than frustrate over your recycling I'm thinking it would be irrational to do otherwise. Seems to me.
-
Your free jump is hereby revoked until you can find the time to educate yourself sufficiently to answer my impertinent questions.

I don't know jack all about oil refining, just to get that out of the way. My understanding is we export a significant chunk of US production and replace it with lower quality imports. Apparently the very speed the worlds spins relies on that trade off but I'm damned if I really buy the logic.
-
Is it, in any significant way, valid to argue in favor of exporting US sweet crude because our refineries can handle lesser grades by way of import?
-
I have the difficulty of deciding if you are more clever than irritating. Lately, I'm more inclined to the former.

Nothing of the sort need be done, my friend. I won't have any part of the hypocritical BS the suddenly woke to ethics right wing is having over left wing naked political reasons. Also, I am long since fed up with the Saudi's so the idea of raining on their Hajj tickles my willy. Moreover, I'm pretty sure I have been explicit about the left tossing down our Pom-Pom's and fighting shitty dirty and pretending, like the Republicans do, there was no yesterday or a tomorrow either. Is that more clear?
-
Yes.
-
Who cares? I'm all for Biden calling MBS and telling him in certain terms that putting his thumb on America's election scales will result in maximum pain. Fuck him and all hypocrites on the right who think it's only okay when they do it.

I would never sell a mattress simply because I would never want to meet someone who wants to buy a used mattress.

What is it with you? Just when I am thinking you are being too touchy feely again you launch a Javelin attack. No matter, nicely done. Thanks.

Do Space Shuttles have serial numbers? Were those mentioned in the Constitution? No? What about "not free" persons? They were mentioned and I think they had serial numbers. Very confusing stuff.
-
This is helpful: (Reuters) - A federal judge in West Virginia has ruled that a federal ban on possessing a gun with its serial number removed is unconstitutional, the first such ruling since the U.S. Supreme Court dramatically expanded gun rights in June. The brilliant and unassailable logic behind the decision is that when the Second was drafted guns didn't have serial numbers so banning the removal of serial numbers which aren't inconstitutional now can't be unconstitutional. I'm thinking we're now free to tear those do not remove tags off our pillows.
-
Ken, please elucidate. To my understanding, a fact finding always precedes a judgement.
-
Did he not plead guilty? Summary judgement, to my limited knowledge, is a decision made as a matter of law.
-
I ignored him in the early rounds and, maybe it escaped your attention, I don't reply to him. I only reply to those who engage him in certain gentle, if ineffectual, disclaiming ways. I would prefer it if no one engaged him but that's, apparently, not on offer. So I read the replies of those who do and continue on as bravely as possible. But thanks anyway for the remedial education, Professor.

30 more day's of Slim sounds like a sentence from a judge.

Of course he was, that's what moron's do.
