Sort of, we are. Aren’t you thrilled we have President Biden at the helm now. No nonsense support of Ukraine with massive amounts of sophisticated material is making a huge difference and, thus far, no world wide conflagration.

em·pa·thy /ˈempəTHē/ noun the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Patience grasshopper.

Don't be so sure, he already has Jim Trusty and Evan Corcoran. His moron enriched PAC also has the money to pay upfront if need be.

I know it's not a one way street, I'm probably too sensitive about the defense spending thing and need to tone it down. We're idiots on immigration. We can't find workers to do about anything yet don't see the connection. That said, I will take a wait and see on how it works out with the wealthy Chinese.

You need to start somewhere.

Mary Peltola defeats Sarah Palin in Alaska special election
JoeWeber replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
That's fantastic. She's both a Democrat and a Native American, that'll tweek some Republican noses. -
Am assuming you understand what "recovered from a container" means? No, you aren't clever or correct. I did not post an article unread like Brent. I posted a picture from the Washington Post which, and I hope you'll trust my word, I looked at before posting. I added a sarcastic byline and moved on without further thought. It was you, three posts into your irritation that posted the filing, not I. No doubt there are other things you are thinking about that I'm not and, likewise, I won't until you bring them to my attention. Tell the truth, you're just irritated that in the post immediately prior I took a swat at your homeland, right.
-
I knew you cared.
-
Nah, just funnier.
-
And you could be less like you, I suppose. It wasn’t an authoritative post, just a joking observation. I followed it with enough of the photo to show the origin, a newspaper. But thanks for posting the doc in time to make an insulting comment.
-
Well, apparently this was the image the DOJ included in their court filing. Do you have better information?
-
Really? You don't believe he chose that carpet?

That's just ridiculous and you should know it. The Alliance I referred to isn't the US it's the NATO Alliance, you should know that, too. Be grateful that the US has enough taxpayer paid for arms ready to go to counter Russia's expansionist goals in Eastern Europe. Please don't forget that Canada agreed to pay 2% GDP on defense with 20% of that going to home grown weapons R&D. But they didn't and you are welcome.
-
No kidding. It won't be long until we're as useful to the rest of the alliance as Canada.
-
No way would any Russian or Chinese agents be clever enough to spot these on the carpet.

They worked for a couple of years to keep me and many others from catching colds, the flu, and for all I know covid, too. 5 Pfizers into it and I finally caught Covid after foregoing masks except where required. Light case, so maybe the vaccine did it's less than perfect job, too. You won't see me on a commercial flight without an N95 but it'll be one with a vent, you know, just to say fuck you back.

Even now large law firm types and their bosses think twice before not representing a former and possible next president. Don McGahn wanted to quit the bastard when he was White House counsel but his actual bosses at Jones Day put the kibosh on it. I guess it's a credential worth a lot of inflated billable hours.

There is a level of play above that.

May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
You cling to old traditions like a child clings to their doll. In a thousand years the ancient traditions that shape todays concepts of gender and gender bending will be history, and the emblems of our racist past will be piles of dust not just toppled. Some of us, when we see a bend in the road ahead slow down for the turn. Others, too narcotized by the ease of a straight road, maintain speed and hope there isn't a cliff. You wore the nations uniform for 20 years, ostensibly, to guarantee everyones freedom to live a free life, not just you. Crying now because societal trends caused by the will of a majority of the free people you served don't suit you is, well, babyish. I am not certain that humanity will bake, boil, simmer, freeze or be washed away to extinction by 1000 days of rains and floods in the next 100 years but I am absolutely certain of one thing: humanity will not advance to game changing levels of technological advancement, and perhaps our salvation, using only the energy derived from fossil fuels. Nor will we achieve any of the loftier goals of peaceful brother and sisterhood by defining for our fellows how they should see themselves. You know, to each their own. -

The difference between us left wing circle jerkers and you and your like minded souls is the variety of topics we find interesting. -
Excuse me if I'm getting a little wet eyed over this but I'm getting to where I sorta miss 'ol RushMC.

I don’t think he’s confused about anything. I think he’s just ambivalent about everyone.
-
And he'll never admit it.

Biden's approval rating is jumping up hard and fast according to a Gallup poll. "At 44%, Biden’s approval rating is now higher than the approval ratings of Donald Trump (41%), Barack Obama (43%), Bill Clinton (39%), Jimmy Carter (43%), and Ronald Reagan (41%) at this point in their presidencies." The 44% does not include the debt forgiveness decision. The hoped for blue wave may not be just a pipe dream, after all.
