Perhaps, but there can be healing through having the baby.

Good news for all who believe assault style weapons are unfairly demonized. "As many as six, but possibly as few as two people, have been shot in Uvalde's downtown Memorial Park, Sen. Roland Gutierrez confirms, an epicenter of grief after the May 24th shooting," Plohetski reported. "Police are looking for a shooter, who is not thought to have used an assault rifle."

They're just jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire, seems to me. Bear in mind you aren't alone in the world, although imagining you in a basement running strings from misunderstood graphs to unread articles all pinned to a wall is my current mental picture, so there are likely many, may others who would believe there ain't no use in tryin'.

Umm.. Er... But they haven't hit Biloxi so they don't count!

I just knew you'd do that again. Don't be getting all particular, as you've been apprised here frequently, climate science isn't the same for everyone everywhere. Sort of, we're all climate scientists and get to choose our own data, time frames, and feelings. Make sense? For example, and I'll go slow for you, the Earth has been a cohesive ball of cosmic goobers for around 4.5 Billion years - I'm not complaining. And indisputably, unless you're Deepak Chopra, we're each and all here on that ball each counting the days in different ways. Make sense?

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers

Maybe. He was convicted previously, and sentenced to 14 days in the slammer, for trespassing at the January 6 Republican prayer meeting at the Capitol. I'll get excited when one or two of our congress and senator critters get 14th'd into the history books. -

May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
There are memes for everything; perpetuating, and exaggerating, old "just a bit" of truths in an area you are without expertise isn't helpful. The reality is the Turbine and Tandem era has raised the bar pretty much everywhere substantially. Few people let $1.5 Million dollar airplanes degrade in value owing to poor maintenance. Large DZ's doing north of 40,000 slots per years with 10 month skydiving seasons can afford it based on slots flown. Smaller Turbine DZ's with shorter seasons need a solid Tandem business to do it right. It's the DZ's that aren't making money that worry me. -
Whatever the thread is called, this forum is going to hell in a hand basket.

May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
That is an overly broad statement. Not every operator has junk airplanes although there are some real embarrassments out there. Yes, most have some years on them but well maintained and with modern engines and upgraded avionics they are as safe as new. Also, at least one operator Ray Ferrell bought 5 new PAC 750's into skydiving. -
Like lead pipes and asbestos? Your libertarian pretense isn’t well thought out.

Mod's, are we there yet?

The article, I read it, and your comments are nothing less than a 100% troll. I now stand with those who believe you've been given too long a leash by the mod's.

In fairness, when you absolutely, positively, need to make an important point to sum up an eight paragraph blindered screed you can't quote a more respected, level, and authoritative source than Dave Portnoy, CEO of Barstool Sports.

I'll bet that cheeky Biden, or preferably the more Mexican Immigrant sounding "El Pres" for short, puts his Birkenstock clad feet on the Resolute Desk, too!

No kidding. He should have done it after flying Peter Pilot onto an aircraft carrier with a Mission not Accomplished sign behind him on the super structure.

Outrage over POTUS labeling the other party as fascists
JoeWeber replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Because just like here when a Democrat does it, it's an ad hominem attack. When a Republican does it, it's simply observing legitimately that we're dumb asses. -
Like every reactionary without a complete understanding of everything involved, I naturally assumed that Garland was being a little too Casper Milquetoasty for the task at hand. But maybe not. The Trump and Trump legal team missteps are making possible the laying out of a followable for nincompoops narrative much the same way the J6 committee is proceeding. Given how incendiary the situation is, that it will likely be at least a couple of years before Trump faces consequences, and that publicly indicting Trump before the mid-terms might be considered a political distraction and give the Maga types an opportunity to change the narrative, maybe he's just giving them all of the hanging rope they want at no real risk to his case.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
JoeWeber replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Probably not. You wouldn't sell a mint condition coin without the original case and I suspect that you'd get better in the exchange if your secrets were in the original secret folder. Provenance being everything with collectibles. -
Why? Truth be known, they did it for you. That's right, you are that critical to the process of putting Trump away. Why? Because you, and the millions like you who still check under the bed each night before climbing in, need a little cosplay and sweet soda to take your medicine. By spreading out the evidence in front of FBI witnesses and photographing it on carpet so gaudy that only Trump and Bert and Ernie's grandma would like it, and alongside Trumps personal, narcissistic, Time Magazine mementos they create a credible chain of evidence. Just like taking his passports from the desk drawer where other classified documents were found such things tie the evidence to the perpetrator. That connective tissue, by way of analogy, is the big thing the fuzz need to do to tie a guy to the dime bag and vial of pink hearts laying on his coffee table. The hope was that instead of coming unglued even people like you, and the jury to come, would be able to see the traitor in the perpetrator. See there? It wasn't that hard at all if you can just stop for a single second to think about it.

Yes, Dear, it would be better. Wouldn't it also be better if grass didn't grow, babies changed their own diapers, good beer had zero calories, and belly buttons didn't capture lint? If only things were better.

Don’t bet your Matryoshka dolls just yet but it’s looking a lot like the Ukrainians are going to encircle and bag a bunch of Russians.
