    Skyfest 05

Bingo. Who cares who's flying what. Let's just get our flock on then share some beers afterwards.
  2. We'll make a long weekend out of it, sweety-pie.
  3. eeneR doesn't smoke. It'll be tequila shooters and sushi for her. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  4. Yup, it's all about friends and beer at this point. I just checked U-Haul's website, and it looks like the first 305 miles are free on a 1-way in-FL move, so you should be covered there. If you use a service to pack up your things, be careful who you pick. Make sure they're insured and bonded in case they happen to damage any of your belongings. Now, while all this chaos is going on, you need to be scouting places to live *THIS* weekend. Hop in your Jeep and hit Tampa....and don't stop until you've found something you love. Because you need to start the process of getting your utilities transferred quickly since you're coming into the crunch time now. Oh, and you have to do all this while also studying for your medical board exams, too. *passing you some Oatmeal Cookie Chunk and a valium* If you need a hand, let me know. It's not like I need an excuse to get out to FL anyway. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  5. If there are any burrs or nicks on the slider grommets, they can chew through the lines easier. It also makes that really annoying sound. Remember, only you can prevent Slider-Flapida. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  6. Look at my last post. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  7. I'd hold off on the lasts longer part. Properly maintained Rapide's will go for years. Slinks should be changed when you get your canopy relined or if they start showing damage or wear. I had to change a set of Slinks on my Stiletto after a brutal opening that blew a cell, some lines, and burned holes in my slider. There was heat damage on one of the Slinks as well. I still prefer Slinks though. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  8. So, Andrea, just what did Paxton do on your 300th jump? This was an excellent boogie, even though I was only there for Sat. I had a great time and my short writeup is in the weekend #'s thread. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  9. Joe, it was muy excelente getting to meet you and the rest of the LSPC gang yesterday, glad you could make it down. And, to everyone else, KansasSkydiver is a slacker in the worst possible way for blowing us off. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  10. BP, Prof, thanks for the advice. I concentrated on my arm and upper body position yesterday and hit between 58-62 mph for 11 seconds! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  11. 58:3:0 58 mph as my slowest speed in my wingsuit yesterday!!! I went to the 2nd annual Luau boogie at Oklahoma Skydiving Center yesterday and Mullins King Air was there turning loads. For not arriving until late in the morning, they got 28 loads off yesterday. This was the first time I've been back to this DZ since I was, umm, kicked off by the old owner 3 years ago. The new owner, Jack Reeves, has injected a new life into this place and there was definitely a great vibe going all day, and into the night at the bonfire. I met Freeflyimpaired and his crew from Nebraska, including the guy that ate cow dung off of someone's foot for 3 jump tickets. Ewww. I also got to meet Ktuldoyle who occasionally posts here and I've gotta say, "Nice coconuts, cutie!" I really wish I'd had my still camera with me, especially to catch some of the bonfire antics and the beautiful hula girls that were out. Also got to see a lot of old friends and got to make a couple of new ones. All in all, it was a rocking great time.
  12. Ditto.... Florida in the summer is miserable. That's also the off-season for FL so there's not as much going on. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  13. I was...and lemme' tell you....I was goooood. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  14. Everytime I read your sig I think it says kindness and I'm like awww, how sweet! Then I see the k and I realize that's probably more accurate. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  15. What if I want to use the chains from the nipple clamps as reigns? Is that an option? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  16. Why don't you ask several members of the all-amputee skydiving team "Pieces of Eight" that question. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  17. The dealer maybe, but not the company. At WFFC '03, the Icarus rep was trying to get me to demo a CF2 loaded at 1.8:1 at 300 jumps. I stuck with the much larger version. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  18. Efex jumps in the UK and they do things a bit differently. Flightline gear check before boarding for each jump and a designated jumpmaster on every load. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  19. Whatever they do, tell them to end it in a Fruit-Loop. Don't ask them what it is, just see if they'll do it. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  20. Yeah, the RR's are just plain scary like that...900CC's in a very small package. Definitely not the norm when compared to the GSX-R and ZX in the 1000 class. My fuel injected GSX-R600 was -1 in the back, power commander, and Yosh pipe & headers. I never had to clutch it to get it to wheelie. But I really didn't love that bike. Really wide, and not made for those of us with shorter inseams. If I get another, it's definitely going to be an R6. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  21. Then your buddies riding 1000's must really suck. Your telling me you can outride an experienced R1 or 954RR rider on the back roads? Please I've done it on a GSX-R 600 at 245 pounds. The biggest CC's on the ride were on an R1 and a Hayabusa. Besides myself there was another guy on a ZX-6R, all experienced riders. Trav on the ZX and myself left the R1 and Busa behind after only a few corners. Sorry, 1000 and up sport bikes are just too heavy to be flicking around corners the way were going. On straightaways, you'd better believe we were eating their dust, but on the corners? Puh-leeze. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  22. You've never heard my patented "Evil Clown" laugh apparently. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  23. You'll know the change was accepted and transferred when the confirmation smoke comes out. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  24. *Ahem* Why don't you put a newbie on a drag bike and see what happens? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
