Nig-Noggery is a type of partying that can only be experienced by skydivers and the die-hard. I get to travel, a LOT! My coworkers know how to do their jobs and they do it well. A bottomless training budget. After just one year my boss is giving me a promotion along with my review so it is going to be a huge raise. I can work with our field locations, I can mess around in the lab, or I can go play in the datacenter for the day. The job has a lot of variety. We have field support offices in every major market so there is ample opportunity to transfer. And # 1: My boss isn't constantly looking over my shoulder. My 200th jump at Rantoul. One of Skydiverchick's (Carrie) friends, a total hottie named Cori came along for the ride. The dive was me going out of the back of a CASA with Carrie & another friend taking AFF grips on me. Did I mention "Humpy" the 5' tall blue inflatable whale that I was holding onto? On the ride up Cori grabs the whale, puts it between her legs and started making extremely loud orgasm noises (it was either that or a really disturbed Wire-Haired Terrier barking) while she gyrated on the whale. Let's just say that it was rather, ahem, convincing. I found out later that the tandem that was on the load and grinning while this was goin on was the mayor's wife. When I teach the FJC I always cover flaring. You never know when a student may land off, out of sight of the radio-guy due to winds, long climb-out or an emergency exit. They are instructed to wait for radio and that anything heard on the radio specifically addressed to them overrules anything I tell them in class, but I also tell them what to do in case radio or paddles are not there. Technically, they are both elliptical. However, their difference in aggressiveness depends on several factors such as amount of planform taper, trim, angle of attack, etc... Whereas you could put most newbies on a Sabre2, Spectre, or Safire loaded 1:1 with no problems, that same person on a Crossfire2 or Stiletto is going to be flying a much more maneuverable, unforgiving (in handling & opening stability), and twitchy canopy. Use the red top. Don't use heavy coats, just 3 or 4 light coats with plenty of drying time in between. Also, pick up some Shout wipes and put them in your gearbag. They're a lifesaver. Jess, Scotchguard is used on rigs to help make them easier to clean. You do the above when you get it in and before any canopies are put into it.
