Worst case scenario....you burn your car to the ground. For starters, head over to the12volt.com or TeamROCS and read the technical articles. Here are The Important Things: Wire the positive directly to your battery. Going through your fuse box is taboo. Amplifiers draw way too may amps for that. On the positive battery power cable for the amp you must have a fuse within the first few inches of the battery. If you get into a serious wreck, you'll thank me. Keep your ground wire as short as possible and make sure it goes to the frame or a really good contact point. Run your power lines (batery + & remote) down one side of the vehicle and the signal leads down the othe to prevent inductive noise If you don't feel up to the task, there's no shame in hiring a competant installer, with insurance bond, to do the install for you. If you decide to do it yourself, I recommend heading to Wal-Mart or Best Buy and picking up one of their all-in-one amp wiring kits. It will have the proper gauge cables for your wattage along with fusing and everything else you'll need. Instructions, too.

*lol* god this is too funny. No kidding. My rig has never had the legstraps slip in over 130+ sitfly jumps on it. I am not putting one of those things on my rig for a coach jump. I can go to TX and get coach jumps from VIBE or Anomaly with less hassle. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Who would choose skydiving as a career?
Kris replied to SpeedDog's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Redline said it best, "Who would choose this?!" As for me...I'm an instructor, and while I love my students, and I love teaching, I think the only way you could get me to do it full time is if I worked for a gear store or a manufacturer. I've come to really appreciate fun jumping vs work jumps. Then again, I doubt I'd do it full time as I really like my 'real-world' salary. Money isn't everything...but it's nice to have at times. -
Good luck with that. The ProTrack doesn't use standard RS-232 signalling over the connection from the unit to the cradle and pack to the PC. It's proprietary. Once you capture the port data, you would also have to decode it as well. As for the Neptune, no information on the signalling and protocols used have been released but it seems to be standard RS-232 from the driver used under Windows (IRCOMM). The stows are to keep the lines nice & neat. Worst case scenario, the lines tension knot on each other causing a mal, or the bag (or locking stows on the bag) catch some of the lines on the way out causing the bag to spin and hella-linetwists to ensue. I'm having my rigger sew a pocket onto my D-bag to hold my excess line. At your experience level though, I really wouldn't recommend it without talking to an experienced rigger about the possible problems.
