Which motherboard do you have Wingi? There's no reason that your onboard sounds shouldn't be working. Are you showing any conflicts in the device manager? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I was going to upgrade mine as well....new processor & motherboard, a gig of fast ram....and then I had a moment of weakness. Now I have to suffer until the UPS man drops off my new toy on Tuesday. QSD-216 Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Correction....there should be no need to low-level format an IDE or SATA drive. I have to low-level format the SCSI drives I have when I move them between different controller brands (Adaptec, DPT, etc...) or on first use at home. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Or unless a smallish Honda hits him from the side. I drove by a wreck on my way to work Fri morning. Big truck, tiny honda. The Honda tore up the side of that truck and a good portion of the passenger side of the cab. The passenger compartment on the Honda looked untouched. And the truck was laying on its side. This is true. Once the pilot says it's okay to bail, you should do your best to get out as quickly as possible. However, the problem with this incident is that the airplane was in a flat spin. They were trapped by centrifugal force in the back of the plane and were unable to move from where they were at. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Look no further. I've intentionally done it on a Spectre 190 loaded at 1.35. It horseshoes just like a 9-cell does. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

That's what I got from it as well. That kind of attitude & tactics from a manufacturer makes me almost sad to be a Mirage owner. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

After demoing both canopies, I simply liked, well....everything about the CF2 better. The openings seemed much more predictible and were certainly less busy than the Samurai. Like Skycat said, the openings on the CF2 are "like falling into warm ice cream." I don't want to worry about having to give a lot of input during the openings, especially if I'm in my wingsuit. I don't have the option right now to have a dedicated wingsuit rig so I need a canopy that is versatile. I liked the control range of the CF2 more than the Sam. Sorry, but while I like a canopy than can get wild when I ask it to, the Sam was just way too twitchy for me. This may have been a result of the short lineset used on the Sam as compared to the CF2. Glide was about the same and the flare was just about the same too, with maybe a bit more bottom end on the CF2. Again, these are just my opinions and what I found while demoing both. eh. Personal choice. I was going to buy a Samurai until I flew a demo Crossfire2. Night & day difference. I'm ordering my new Crossfire2 in a couple of weeks. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Actually, you should all be asking Stacy about funnels. She's the master considering she took out the entire Golden Knights 8-way team a year or so back. A feat like that takes pure skill, perseverance, and dedication. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Like Cruzit (who was one of my instructors when I started), I also worked out at OSC under Mike Palmer as an IAD-I. My first couple of hundred jumps were out of the plane that went in. The plane was a wide-body 182 equipped with a STOL kit on the leading edge of the wings, plus wing-tip extensions. Handling 5 normal-sized pax + a pilot wasn't an issue. As for what to do with them in an emergency, if the pilot says bail, I'm getting the student nearest the door out then telling the rest to follow me. In a small Cessna you don't have the room to do otherwise. Depending on the emergency, you don't usually have the time either. Either way, I'll take my cue from the pilot. Leaving before the pilot gives permission can make a bad situation worse in a small plane. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Apparently, with Mary....it's all about the electric. She's looking into having the poor doggie wired for 220v-phased. Hopefully, I can get my laptop charged up here at her place before it burns to the ground. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Yes, it is Mary's birthday, and not only did eeneR and I con her into letting us crash at her place, we also got her to make us dinner...on her birthday. Mary, happy birthday and thanks for being such a kick-ass chica and for being so hospitable.
