  1. [sarcasm] What the hell? This makes no sense! What are you doing, writing an A4 or an A0? No! You are writing a letter. Letter format. Why replace a perfectly logical descriptive word with a random string of letters and numbers? Do you secretly work for a government agency or something? Measure in meters? How retarded! You don't measure a meter, you measure with a meter. When will you ever get it straight? [/sarcasm]
  2. What are the tuition rates? I can't think of a better use for the GI Bill. You are fully accredited, right?
  3. Omri, I think you should as for private instruction. If she is criticizing your knowledge of bras, it would only be fair for her to be your private instructor and help remedy that situation. Right?
  4. I can see Erno grimacing from here.
  5. I agree 100%. I also know that we have to be equal in our self-imposed scrutiny of skydivers and dropzones. It isn't right to bring negative publicity to light about one particular operation, true or not, and discourage others from being equally concerned and inquisitive about another. In reference to some honest non-libelous statements and questions regarding the relatively recent drug-related death at SDC, the shoe was on the other foot. In that thread, there seemed to be a lot of denial from the SDC folks and downplaying of people's very valid concerns. CSS isn't my home DZ. Neither is SDC. I'm equally concerned with the safety of *every* dropzone I frequent. Where I see things I don't like, I don't return. I'm *not* stating that I believe that to be true about either place mentioned. The discrepancy in treatment is what I think some people are objecting to, rather than the concern for the safety of jumpers and passengers, which is certainly laudable.
  6. I *am* the IT manager. Muahahaha! Install folding on servers... check! Install folding on my machine... check! Install folding on user machines, hidden from view... working on it...
  7. Jim, Where do you see point values in the console text? Thanks!
  8. Count me in on Folding@Home. We'll see if the boxes stay stable... In the meantime, I'm folding.
  9. I was wondering which categories are which colors in Trivial Pursuit (Genus 4). I think I have them right, but I'm looking for verification. When in doubt, ask a bunch of skydivers and someone will know the answer.... Arts & Entertainment - Yellow History - Brown People & Places - Blue Science & Nature - Green Sports & Leisure - Pink Wildcard - Orange That right? Thanks!
  10. Now, THAT is an instigating comment.
  11. Speed Racer, It makes perfect sense. They were trying to do a preemptive strike against those that would oppress them by using Lunchmeats of Mass Destruction. (LMBs)
  12. Probably true. It was pretty bad.
  13. Sebazz just loves those holes... Apologies to Led Zeppelin...
  14. "I before E, except after C". Weird. Grammar rules suck.
  15. I failed handwriting in elementary school. Not just "needs improvement", but outright failure. Just when people think you can't fail things in third grade, I go and raise the bar. Go, me! It drives my wife insane. She teaches handwriting in an elementary school, and I can't write the alphabet in cursive. I tell her that as long as I can sign my name on a dotted line, the rest is useless. So far, I've been right.
  16. And a damned snappy name.
  17. Wow. Somebody still needs to get some and relax.
  18. But then you have to live in Texas....
  19. My wife got food poisening from a corn dog at the ballpark in Frederick, Maryland. She called them up later, after her hospital visit. In apology, they offered her coupons for free food at the ballpark. Morons! I got sick from food I ate once. I ate a burger of some form.. in a bus station.. in Ecuador. Go figure!

    Gas Prices

What do you expect? We love out cheap fuels. Just ask the president and vice president.

    Gas Prices

Don't you still need to do the dollar-pound conversion?
  22. You're missing an important point. Your right to wander where and when you wish, as you define freedom, is a myth. You are conveniently forgetting about my rights, and the rights of the other people in the country. If your "wish" is to wander into my house, or to camp out on my lawn without at least asking permission, expect me to call the cops, at the very least. Expect me to take your intrusion in a less than friendly manner, with appropriate repercussions. Your freedoms (of any kind) are no more important than mine. They are no more imporant than Lou's, or Richard's , or any of the other people disagreeing with you in this thread. That is what I said before about equality. The best anyone can expect is fair and equal treatment under the laws. If you don't like the laws, either use your vote to help change them, or just leave. You don't have a personal exemption. If you feel that you are entitled to resist and kill police officers as a form of civil disobediance, protest, or in defense of your "rights", I suggest you review the meanings of "citizenship", "law", "honor", and "democracy". You could learn something, and potentially save your own life.

    Iraq? Turkey?

    What? Are they both low-pullers?
  24. This is both amusing and troubling, due to the inherent contradictions. You are putting an extreme value on your personal freedom. Great! Then you go on to say that you will defend it to the death, even if you are wrong, and try to take out lots of police with you as you go. So the police mean nothing, either from a governmental role or from their own perspectives as human beings and fellow citizens. So in your disregard for their lives, even when doing their jobs according to the laws of the land in which you live, you completely diminish the value of their freedom. According to you, they don't even deserve the freedom of living if their paths cross yours in an enforcement capacity. So freedom means nothing to you. Equality means nothing to you. When you realize that the only avenue to the rights and freedoms you claim to value is through acknowledging the rights and freedoms of others, you will ascend to a higher level of understanding and a truer grasp of the meaning of citizenship.
