Think there was already a thread on this same subject, but at the time I hadn't yet figured my goals, so now am posting - hope that is okay. Anyway I ended up with a list of like 20 goals - some were just boogies I plan to attend or different aircrafts I want to jump from, but some of my goals I could use help on the best way to acheive them. So here goes: Goal - Get really good at 4 way. Action - Attend the Excel camps at Elsinore and do another RW camp at Perris. Goal - Better canopy control. Action - Do another canopy control class. I did one at Perris with Clint Clawson and he was awsome, but at the time all I wanted was to land standing up. Now I want more. Goal - Work on my sit fly. Action - I learned to sit fly in the Vegas tunnel, then tried it out in the air and couldn't hold it very long. Want to do training at the Perris tunnel and then jumps with a freefly coach. Those these are some of my goals. If anyone can offer any advice I'd appreciate. Also would like to know what goals other people have. THANKS! Happy B-day Roomie! So does that mean I was contributing to the deliquency of a minor doin tequilla shots with you in Eloy? Nawww...think it was the other way around

Yeah, my friend who came to Perris from UK to jump needs some vibes. Thanks Sunny ! Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

So Frenchy, you're gonna be at Perris this weekend? I was gonna mail you the cookies, but if you're gonna be at Perris I'll hand deliver them. I have to pick up my jacket from Perris that I left at Eloy, but think I may then go to Elsinore to jump since Perris will still be flooded. We'll see. Maybe you can talk me into jumping at Perris. Hummmm.... Or were you, once again, longing to be alone so you could work on that case of wine... You're never gonna let me live that down, are you? I did buy a case of wine, brought out 2 bottles, didn't drink any of it cuz I was working on a half of beer all evening. Then went to bed. Still have 10 bottles of wine in the RV for the next boogie. BTW, do you like your chocolate chip cookies with or without nuts? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Ok that will work... BUT have we figured out where the heck we are even staying yet??? I have to call Rosa. Think she has the details. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I work in a jobsite construction trailer. It's big, triple wide, actually 3 trailer together - we had it custom built. 3 offices have walls to the ceiling and doors but the other offices are cubicles so you can pretty much hear anyone elses conversations from anywhere in the trailer, so not a lot of privacy. We have one bathroom and mostly men. I don't so much mind when they leave the toilet seat up, what bothers me is when they forget to put it down before they go . But I've got them pretty well trained

Uh Evelyn dear that was the point of being my SHADOW>.. BUt I never hardly saw you around...we could have worked on that shole shyness thing a bit more I managed to get in a FEW pictures LOL. That's cuz I went to bed early most nights and when I couldn't jump due to weather I hung out in the trailer reading a book. (Hangs head...embarassed.) I didn't wanna follow you around and cramp your style. (Hangs head again...embarassed again) Let's work on it in Vegas. Okay?

I didn't hear the wind tunnel at all while staying at the IHOP...but then I didn't hear my roommates partying in the next room either. But seriously, don't think the noise from the wind tunnel is a big concern. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Wow Alana, great photos. You and Justi are just too cute! My goal for next year's boogie is to have as much fun as you two . Well maybe not that much fun...at my age it'd probably kill me . So maybe half as much fun . Woo hoo

Aw, Sweet Michelle...I love to read your posts, but I always have tears in my eyes (or sometimes downright bawling) by the time I finish reading. You are such a beautiful person and you have such a talent for writing. We definitely have to get together soon! Hope you are feeling better! I've never been in the bunk house, but I stayed at the IHOP last year and it was fine. Clean sheets, clean bathrooms, clean kitchen, hot water. When I stayed there though the house was pretty empty. If it is full and people are partying it could be a little noisy, but there are lots of rooms and beds so you could stay in a room further away from the living room if that is a problem. And the two guys who live there are total sweethearts. They were always willing to play with me in the evening when I had nothing to do (DZ dice that is - you'll learn it if you stay there

I have a friend who came out to Perris from the UK to be able to jump. The weather is so bad where she lives that she can rarely jump. So now she is at Perris and can hardly jump. I feel really bad for her, especially since I have been encouraging her to come back out to so cal where the weather is usually great and we jump all year round . Guess I'll keep my mouth shut when it comes to the weather . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

You purposly gain weight to increase your fall rate. BTW, not recommended cuz it's harder than hell to take back off . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I didn't gain any this week

I feel sick.... Although you keep avoiding meeting me, I will be happy to send you cookies too if you PM me your address

Which is the best DZ you ever visited?
Evelyn replied to bluesky1977's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I have only ever jumped at 3 DZ's and they were all awesome. Perris is my home DZ and I love it, I've been also jumping at Elsinore cuz they have female LO's and coaches and lots of free instruction for newbies, and I just attended the Eloy boogie and it was a great DZ, Airspeed for coaching and video on jumps, but it was a boogie, don't know if you get airspeed LOing and Mike McGowen on video all the time. Anyway, I'd have to say Perris cuz it's my home DZ and has a lot to offer, wind tunnel, RW camps, great coaches, etc. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller -
If you are sick Michelle then I should be baking chocolate chip cookies for you! PM me with your address and I'll send you some. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Everyone in my office was in that kind of mood today. It was pretty amusing . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Yeah, that's what my husband was telling me. But that is why we're going to Mountain High instead of Big Bear. They usually keep the roads really clear so you don't need chains. We'll see. I'll be really bummed if I can't go skydiving or snowboarding, maybe I'll have to stay home and bake cookies or something . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Yes, Shiraz is good. That's what I'm drinking

Before I started skydiving snowboarding was my favorite sport. Last year only got like one weekend of snowboarding since the weather was always good for skydiving. Since I can't jump this weekend due to weather I'm going snowboarding with my daughter. My daughter went to Mammoth last year and learned to carve so now she can keep up with me and we won't have to hang out on the intermediate slopes. Should be a great time. We're just going locally, to Mountain High. Know some skydivers also snowboard so wondering if anyone else is gonna be there? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I went to see it on Christmas day. Now that my kids are grown it's become a tradition to go to a movie on Chistmas day after brunch. We saw Phantom of the Opera and I loved it. I'd read the book and seen the play prior to the movie. I would definitely recommend the movie. And yeah, I agree with you about the phantom character - IMO he just wasn't creepy enough, was like a Hollywood version phantom. But I still loved the movie and would recommend it.
