Biden’s war on fossil fuel and gas price timeline

Don't believe everything you read. While it may be true in certain areas the existing home market is still red hot. New home sales are down due to the rise in lumber costs. -
A few years back I was one who sided with the anti gun control folks. I don't know the answer but this has to stop.

Biden’s war on fossil fuel and gas price timeline

My concern is a POTUS who has petroleum in his sites during a time when the economy is already suffering. -

Gas prices like this drive inflation. Everything that is delivered to you uses a petroleum product. I have a full sized pickup, 2 boats, and a Z/28. I'm not complaining. I can afford it. I'm extremely blessed to be able to have these things however, when gas gets to this level it begins dragging the economy down by way of reducing discretionary spending. -

I'm not talking about trucks. Your average person can't afford a truck like that. Do you agree that these gas prices hurt the poor most? -

Base is $27,400 for a clown car. Great. $7,500 incentive is simply a tax credit so the price remains $27,400. Here in flyover country dealers are up-charging based on limited supplies. Unfortunately the folks hurt most by the gas prices are the ones driving the $500 hoopty. -

The sale price for an EV, on average, was $60,054 in February. That compared to $45,596 on average for all new vehicles, including electric ones, according to data from Edmonds. Your payment on a $60,000 EV over 5 years with 5 grand down is almost $1100 per month. These might be numbers that work in CA but not here in flyover country. -

All of you are missing the mark on this one. Gas prices like this will kill an economy. I get that they want us to use more EVs but the below average income won't afford a new EV and the used ones are just now hitting the market in numbers that could have any effect. Pretty bold moves when less than 1% of vehicles in the US are electric. -
There are many ways Billy could have achieved his goal. Please don't... Also, I enjoyed his posts here. Edited comment. We’re not going there.

You don't seem to have a problem with the meat of Brent's post. -

I guess that means you're happy that poor people can't afford to drive their ICE vehicles. -
The majority of folks I see standing in line to get lottery tickets...shouldn't.

I've had the opportunity to interact with people I consider wealthy. To a man they are all business owners. They didn't strike me as particularly happy people. I think once you reach a certain wealth level worrying about not losing it takes over.

While not in my neighborhood per se there are 2 plants within an hour drive from me. A Chernobyl like event wouldn't require me to evacuate. To answer your question I'd be OK with it in my neighborhood. I'm sure I'd be drowned out by the NIMBY crowd.

Nukes are nukes. Doesn't matter what you're using them for. Clean energy will need nuclear power. There's no way around it.
-
Earlier mistakes like when liberals torpedoed nuke plants in the 70's? You mean those mistakes?

The ones who had Covid are vaxed as well.

They don't leave the facility very often. Most likely a staffer brought it in. For the most part we're talking about severe DD. Some are non verbal...all are not really able to function in society.
-
Everyone there had 2 doses originally and a booster.
-
Yes...I think there might be one who isn't vaxxed.

She's an amazing woman. What the hell she sees in me...

Resurgence here in Ohio. At Rox's facility 23 of 32 resident tested positive and 8 staff. No doubt the staff brought it in. Interesting...the residents who already had covid are fairing much better than the one's who are triple jabbed but never had covid before. This variant doesn't seem to care about vaxx status.
