    Simple. ACA moved people off full time entry level to part time entry level. I agree that the bottom line decisions made by businesses are to please the shareholders and not in the interest of the workers but this was stupid.

    And there's your problem. Abortion notwithstanding you guys get butthurt over everything. In the noise some of us can't tell if you're more upset about abortion or the definition of a woman. You're trying to make everyone happy and in the process you've diluted your power and many times turned off your base. Granted the R's continue to do stuff that makes me cringe but I'm not seeing much from across the aisle that excites me either.

    I get that you all want to blame the Republicans for all of the ills of the country. Trump appointed conservative judges... a lot of them. Barry appointed more but had 8 years. Since legislation from the bench is the order of the day we need to fix the situation. By 2042 most of the conservative old white men will be dead. Problem solved.

    You left out Hitler. I'm seeing everyone losing their minds over Roe. A terrible decision but not the end of the world. Abortions are still available. Many other forms of contraception are available. RU-486 is basically an abortion in pill form. I look for congress to pass something to counter losing Roe.

    I get it however, painting with such a broad brush does more harm than good. You don't have to look far to find successful non-white people. How did they do it?

    One possibility for sure. If I say I'm living the dream right now I'll be tagged as having white privilege. It diminishes the hard work I've done throughout my life. Something some generations don't seem to understand. No one is going to hand you anything. Too many birds...not enough worms.

    Possibly but I think a great number of people have given up looking for jobs. I'm noticing many more well spoken people doing service jobs in restaurants and gas stations. I grew up with the american dream being trotted out with every opportunity and in many ways it still applies. It's just that so many people have been shut out for whatever reason it seems they've given up hope. Explains the long lines buying lottery tickets I guess.

    More than anything this is the biggest problem right now. We need more brown folks from the south to do the menial jobs no one here wants.

    I think the biggest problem is the money. The system has been titled in favor of corporations and the wealthy. Those who can afford to make contributions in exchange for favorable treatment. Until we remove that incentive it will only get worse.

    I'm more concerned about a POTUS whose supports policies that make petroleum more expensive during an economic upheaval.

    While that might be true I've never known a builder to roll back a price increase.
