You'll be waiting a long time for that response. Spending...hmmm...what branch of government controls spending? We like to put a target on the President for this when it's actually a congressional problem. Not one of them, D or R has the balls or moral fortitude to do what's right for the country anymore. They are only interested in what's good for their constituents or themselves (getting re-elected)...and I'll venture to say that given a choice they'd vote for themselves over their constituency 9 out of 10 times. So who's to blame? Ultimately we are for allowing these douchebags to stay in office. What needs to happen is a culture change. We need some way to make being elected to congress not quite the lottery win that it's become. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne -
I'm in a strange place on this one. I believe it should be a woman's choice as a last resort. There are other ways. If I was 20 years younger I'll bet I wouldn't be here now. I was given up for adoption in 1958. Doubt that would have happened in 1978. So I have mixed feelings. I'd like to believe women try not to get pregnant and think hard about it before they have an abortion. The numbers don't bear that out. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Took me awhile to find it. If this temperature variation is so bad, what is the reason for the temps in 1981 and 1940? According to the National Weather Service, the state tied its all-time January record high of 62 degrees near Port Alsworth on Monday, Jan. 27. The temperature in January has only been this high in Alaska on two other occasions in recorded history. The first time was Jan. 30, 1940 in Craig and the second was Jan. 16, 1981 in Petersburg. It impacts tens of millions directly, and the rest of us indirectly. How long do you think it takes to implement such a substantial change? One answer is: longer than it should if the opposition party wants it to. By that reasoning we'd still have prohibition. You're suggesting we don't?
