  1. I think by the time they reach 17 they've seen these. Disney identified six movies available on Disney Plus that are labeled with the new advisory — including "Peter Pan," "The Aristocats," "The Jungle Book," "Lady and the Tramp," "Dumbo," and "Swiss Family Robinson."
  2. I'm not asking the feds to do anything. Just to be clear you're OK with Disney selling offensive and racist movies to kids.
  3. I agree Wendy. I guess my point is Jemima and Ben had to go. My beloved Indians are now the Guardians. Statues had to be torn down. Schools re-named. If it's to be done do it well. Or you can pledge $5mil to social justice warriors and be left alone?
  4. Seems to me if you're truly woke you wouldn't be cashing in off these. I'm not appalled or offended. Just wondering how they justify the hypocrisy.
  5. From Disney website... This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together. Disney is committed to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe. To learn more about how stories have impacted society, please visit www.disney.com/StoriesMatter Don't you think it's a bit strange that they continue to show these?
  6. Agreed Jerry. When I say "them all" I exclude party affiliation as a parameter. I think there's a disturbing pattern of blatant corruption. Too bad we're not like the Japanese where idiot corporate heads and pols commit seppuku.
  7. Aside from the political grandstanding of these types of investigations I'm all for investigating all of them. History has shown that the end result is usually a big nothingburger.
  8. Seems it would be pretty simple to figure out. Whatever shell company owns Biden's home would have to report that "rent" as income. The taxman cometh, and that right soon. Hope you get the Shawshank reference.
  9. Do you really believe it's beyond the scope of possibilities? $600k/year is a pretty big enticement. It needs to be looked into for sure.

    Serenity?

All part of my definition of fuckin' up.

    Serenity?

The only prayer I ever muttered was on jump run; "Please Lord don't let it be me who fucks up."
  13. You and I have reached an age where sometimes pathetic is a good descriptor. When you said I should be ashamed it hit a nerve. If I'm supposed to be ashamed of things the line is long. You'll have to go to the end.
  14. I think possibly my post was a bit too harsh. I thought I said that I didn't care what they identified as. It's unfortunate for them but it won't get much thought from me.
  15. As soon as someone as intelligent as John says I should be ashamed we're going to talk about shame. Sorry that I have no shame over not caring enough about a miniscule portion of the population when there are larger problems. John loves to point out how it's statistically safer on the streets of Chicago, discounting the 600 or so shot dead year after year. Last 10 years should be about 6,000 or so. That fits the definition of miniscule. Should he be ashamed of living there?
  16. I should be ashamed? You should be ashamed for participating in a program that saddled 24 million with loans they cannot repay. Average Student Loan Debt $1.75 trillion in total student loan debt (including federal and private loans) $28,950 owed per borrower on average About 92% of all student debt are federal student loans; the remaining amount is private student loans 55% of students from public four-year institutions had student loans 57% of students from private nonprofit four-year institutions took on education debt Sources: Federal Reserve, The Institute for College Access and Success, College Board, MeasureOne All this so perfessers like yourself can have fancy cars and aircraft. Let he who is without sin....
  17. I don't care what they identify as...1 in 15,000 is a statistical zero. Why do we have to deal with it at all? They're the only ones who need to deal with it. OP asked if they were male or female. Strange how you guys spout about following the science when it comes to climate change but want to make it subjective when it comes to this.
  18. A single gene (SRY) present on the Y chromosome acts as a signal to set the developmental pathway towards maleness. Presence of this gene starts off the process of virilization. This and other factors result in the sex differences in humans.[9] The cells in females, with two X chromosomes, undergo X-inactivation, in which one of the two X chromosomes is inactivated. The inactivated X chromosome remains within a cell as a Barr body. Answer - male
  19. It's a good thing laws aren't made with the caveat of "how is it impacting you?"
  20. The possibility of an error outweighs whatever perceived deterrent the death penalty brings. Most murders are an act of passion or anger and I doubt the perp ever stops and considers capital punishment. For me being caged for the rest of my life would be far worse than being put to death.
  21. As with everyone my position comes from experience. I understand you don't agree. Doesn't make it wrong though.
  22. I don't listen to Fox, CNN or any other major provider. Most of what I get is here.
