I'm not sure Alex has an offcial rating yet.,....but last time I flew at Schaffen with him....he was excellent...so I guess he's only going to be beter now ! Sounds like you just need to drop a couple of pm's and head to Schaffen.....with Gadget (sorry didnt know you were Chieg Wingsuit person there) and FlyLikeBrick.....you have some good Instructors to choose from !
-
Try sending a message to Mccordia or Costyn or go to www.flylikebrick.com I know they venture into Belgium with resonable frequency......and although their sexualities are a bit suspect ( well Mccordia's anyway) are both very good Wingsuit Instructors /Pilots and a good laugh....

Ha ha ! nice one... But look at that suit...birdman should be ashamed of itself, it clearly has the aerodynamic profile of a brick.....

OK its not an antenna.....but 400Ft in 4mins(ish) This vid just makes me feel a little dizzy....and a little sick as well... http://youtube.com/watch?v=wWSfeFYjeNs&mode=related&search=

Congrats mate ! Wow , they were all wrong...You DID make it to 1000 .... You prob only need about another 10 jumps to make it 1000 'Wingsuit jumps' ehh..??

Thats one remarkable guy and some quite breathtaking free climbing as well as 'freefall' rope work...

DSE....with Vegas...can you import both PAL/NTSC and then export in either without having to do anything special to the 'odd' format not used inthe final output...? ie...if I import PAL and NTSC footage/...edit it and then export the final as a PAL project....does vegas auto correct the sizing/frame rate issues of the NTSC footage...???

Kinda depends on what software he is using.... On Premiere Pro...simply create a title thats the rights size for what he wants or import a predesigned title into the project . The title (his watermark) ... place it on the empty track above his video and make it the same length as his video track by dragging the the edge to match the end of his video. (ie His video in track 1 and the watermark in track 2) and then simply adjust the opacity of the watermark track to approx 30-40% so its visible but subtle... In other editing suites its the same kinda thing...add it to a separate track and adjust the opacity.. Fade in and out as required....

Thanks for the reminder Nick..I'll be sure to raise a glass In an effort to learn from the mistakes from those who have been before...I cant say I fully understand /can visualise what happened here, or 'why' the choice would be made to put the PC in the BOC on a S/L Could someone elaborate..?

Its clear to me as a novice pilot that it seems to have very little to do with the 'suit' For absolute performance by the highest calibre of wingsuit pilots....yes...it probably makes a difference But I'll wager that 'flight wise' pound for pound for average pilots ...the comparable suits made by each manufacturer can hold their own for the class they were built to fly in... For as long as I have heard about wingsuits I have heard the bitchin' between die hard BM and die hard PF fans......with other manufacturers inbetween. Each prepared to defend their suit and 'critique' the oppositions to the death...like die hard hockey fans in the play offs' !! even if they team is underperforming....you aint never gonna admit it ! Now that aside what DOES make a difference to me is everything else associated with the discipline ...so I'll break down my own personal observations as I sem em.....I 'fly' a PF Phantom but dont have a die hard allegiance to PF......it fitted my need when I wanted a suit.... Ok...here goes.. 1) BM your website sucks....its so difficult to find what you want. PF your website is exactly the opposite 2) I see more BMI's around than PFI's ...in the UK anyways...I still dont know if one is better than the other ...but obviously if I do a first flight course witha BMI...what suit is he gonna recommend..? Whether or not the standard is the same for gettinga BMI /PFI rating....I feel BMI has the edge...here 3) Delivery....If I want a new suit I want it like...now....thats it...end of story. Hearing horror storiies about how long it takes from order to receipt of a suit is going to make a significant difference to which manufacturer a buyer goes to...especially when the 'performance ' between competitors suits is fairly close ( BM you definatley lose here) 4) Personalities like Robi ,Jari, James, Scott and Loic do help the brand. Representation at DZ Boogies and forums like this by those people DO help me and others make there minds up about the product and the manufacturers real dedication to progressing the discipline beyond suit sales.BM and PF lead the field here. 5)Competition.....if its so important to 'know' for fucks sake one of you major players lay down a challange ( you have the bucks) and set it up to show ...once and for all...which high end suit is 'better' than the other I'll say that there are prob so many variables in how the performance is affected ( ie flyer not brand) that you dare not face each other face to face in an ultimate showdown...ie all top end manufacturers in a head to head with your best pilots in your best suit over a series of trials.... ( Loic definatley puts his hand up here) Fuck the suit type and all that shit.....go fly

Check out the thread on here relating to that event.video... http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2413383 As far as I know...its definatley not something suggested/recommended/endorsed by any BASE community.

That last canopy ride ( the strike on the bridge support) looks like a canopy set with a 'too deep' brake setting as its stalling (or at least partially stalling) all the way down .... I didnt see him release the brakes to let it fly....as you know these guys Mikki....is there a story on that one? or another cause/reason?

That first video on the site was scary.... I've never seen a PCA done like that.....pins popped and then PC released...opened fine though.

Does the belly bulge on the more abdominally challanged fliers affect the aerodynamics to a greater degree? As for Mach 1's...isnt it just a big camera suit ? doesnt excess wing material present more drag to drastically slow forward speed..? My friend (attached) reckons the effect of drag is overated...(both in the air and on the ground)

Is this a usual thing? is there always a particular time of year that the farmers lay this 'shit' down..? or does it vary...

If you are in town.....come along If you need a place to crash, let me know

I was taught not to reach after deployment but rather to re establish a stable , shoulders level 'box man' position after pitching ( and that seeing your hands/arms in your peripheral vision to the front&side of you may help that....) I'm not a 'reacher' but can feel the moment my risers are free and have my hands on them early in deployment... I have reckoned the risk of your hands getting slapped/entagled with a deploying riser by having them there ...before the riser deploys .... isnt worth it compared to being able to have arms out ...helping your body position/symmetry and getting on the risers quickly as you feel your way through deployment... How much benefit in canopy control is gained by having them on the rears so early in deployment....vs getting on them quicker a fraction later during deployment when feeling they are free ..? Is there that much difference in being able to correct heading that early in the deployment sequence by having hands on the risers as soon as they they come off the container.....(but when the canopy has not even reached bottom skin inflation...) ...? 'I'm a Newbie alert' ...the above is my own opinion...nothing else

Thats really interesting.....I am working on a project that essentially contains a great deal of music I have no 'rights' to include for sale and was worried about this...I didnt realise it was this cheap to pay royalties........thanks

The report is 10:34 into the main news feature and has video of the wingsuit exit/pull/splashdown as well as Brian Schuberts exit.

I dunno....If I was worried enough about landing in the water that I brought spare clothes wrapped up in a bag on my front , I'd be worried enough to make sure my cutaway was not obscured/covered up in case of that water landing
