    US foreign policy... well what should be done in the future depends on the moral code one operates under. The current policy is shaped by a "last man standing" philosophy under which the american way of life in not negotiable and securing foreign oil access is the invisible hand. This is bound to increase conflict between the US and other countries. Heinberg suggests that the world adopt the Oil Depletion Protocol, in other words the importing countries should reduce imports, and exporters should reduce exports at a rate equal to the decline of world conventional crude supply. (yes is it decreasing, 1.3% over the last 2 years according to the EIA) This will give us more time to deal with the problem of peak oil, it is not in itself a solution obviously.     Hey dude, I transitioned from a jedei 136 to a velo 103 this summer around 800 jumps. I love the 103, it takes the work out of swooping if you know what I mean. On my jedei I felt like a steeper dive and longer recovery arc would be preferable to pulling out of a steep dive really low for a good swoop.     I have been doing tandems every weekend at Burnaby (otter dz) in Toronto. I've done around 160. Don't move to Canada to earn a living skydiving, that is ass backwards!     I do go cloud chasing once in awhile. It often means landing off the dz "unintentionally". So far I have had good luck with hitching rides back and not too much walking.     He was a muslim student who was angry about being singled out to show his ID, on his way out of the Library the cops grab him and start zapping.
