Holy shit. Newbie there needs some remedial training for sure. Even without a go-low plan, a basic track at breakoff altitude is absolutely standard. For him to be in the middle of the formation while deploying is a huge fuck up. I didn't even see a wave off.

Half a kilometer drop?? Even without any of the other lateral corrections, even that is ridiculous. How do you go about even zeroing for that type of shot?

a nearly 10s flight time. I'm surprised a bullet will actually ballistically fly that far.

The big problem is that career politicians would rather been seen to be passing laws than doing nothing, even if those laws SUCK or are poorly thought out. Don't be surprised if this gets passed by the Senate simply because they've been stating that they'll repeal Obamacare. They'll then tout it as 'mission successful' to their faithful.

Absolutely. You're correct. The fact that it seems to demonstrably get its facts wrong - not just its opinions, means that it's a bad news site.

TI Yelling GO! from the back of the Otter

1. He only needed to "start climbing out earlier" if he was going to climb out. If he was just diving out the door that wouldn't be necessary. 2. Back off of the guy. At 56 jumps I wouldn't say he's an idiot for using a technique he's obviously been taught. To the OP, you're not an idiot for using the 45 degree rule if it was taught to you, but it is bogus. Go tell the person who told you to use it that they are an idiot, but before you do educate yourself on why the 45 degree rule doesn't work so you can defend your position. Also, work the plan and ignore the jackasses. You spoke to an instructor in the plane and agreed on a safe separation time. You executed the plan. That should have been the end of it. Great answer! -
I've done that. It's a fantastic experience. I agree with everyone who cheers for the bulls in bullfighting. Fuck that.

ahhh. I thought they were talking about this one. No real news here, just standard political hypocrisy.

Hang on. If the Vice president AND the leader of the party are against it, why's it happening?

Precisely. I don't say 'all Republicans / Conservatives are x because of Trump voters' but I can say 'all Trump voters are x because of Trump voters.' -

If you choose to live your life by lumping everyone together into extremely simplistic groups that you can profile that's your lookout. Particularly complex political groups which cross ages, genders, race and religion demographics. It explains why so many of your conclusions are erroneous, in my opinion. You're extrapolating the behaviors of the many from the few which is EXACTLY the opposite of how it should be done. I stand by my opinion that it's lazy at best, disingenuous and ignorant at worst. -
Quite the opposite. This place usually raises my blood pressure.

Why do you and rush insist on stating 'left-wing hate' at every opportunity? It's lazy and disingenuous. There are people in the left wing who hate the government I'm sure, Just as there were people in the right who hated the last one. That doesn't mean that that entire demographic 'hates'. There are fucking idiots on both sides. Try not to paint everybody with the same brush. -
Gunman fires on Alexandria park during GOP baseball practice

You really don't read further than a single article, do you? Your link points to a story that has only a single instance of what could be considered to be endorsing violence - the link to a Huffington post story that has since been pulled. Seems pretty damning, right? The huffington post is promoting lethal violence against the entire right wing?! But actually reading that cached story shows how taken out of context that quote is in order to provide bait to people exactly like you. People who don't bother to do any more research. The story itself talks about what should happen if the president were to be convicted of treason, not simply that he should be culled out of hand. I think the story itself is ridiculous, but the deliberate out-of-context caption that you seem to have swallowed needs to be addressed. Maybe The Daily Caller isn't as unbiased as you might think? -
That tweet was from longer ago than his last conversation. I'm sure he doesn't remember it. Trump's like a newborn baby - if something disappears from his sight - even for a second, it effectively ceases to exist in his mind and is a surprise when it appears again. It's like playing peek-a-boo with policies.
-
Yes! Thanks to the left and its complaint media No. The 'it's all them' attitude is exactly what's wrong with US politics. And you're a poster-boy for it.
-
Regardless of the truth of any of this, you know Putin is laughing his arse off at the state of US politics.

I hope so. I hope it's not pandora's box.

I think it's for the worse. In a climate where every single thing gets analysed to the umpteenth degree I think it's likely to create a situation where its's difficult to do anything. It'll create paralysis, or at the very least an incredibly risk-averse culture. As for fault? There's plenty to go around. Trump takes the blame for being Trump. I still believe he's temperamentally unsuited for the presidency. We as the public take the blame for wanting our news in exciting soundbites, which leads to lazy journalism. The democrats take the blame for Trump being elected by putting forward a god-awful candidate and the republicans for making a deal with the devil. Blame's a tough one.
