I think the rating you're talking about is IC1 (Individual Canopy 1?), CF1 is a CReW thing I think. So if you're talking about CF2 then it only really applies to the CRew dawgs, if you're talking about IC2 then that's a different matter. What would it be for? What couldn't you do without an IC2? Assistance in Identifying 2 Skydivers please.

I think the guy in the Nissan ad is Eric Fradet. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com -
clicky $2500?! I hope it's bloody good for that amount of money. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Dude that's why you're the Head Honcho - worked like a charm! Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

The PC8 is definately exactly the same size as the PC9, infact I think it's identical just without the memory stick. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Hey all, My company just installed Websense and dz.com is listed as 'Entertainment'. Well I'm not sure about that, as far as I'm concerned it's an essential part of my work day! Well anyway, we get 6 10 minute periods in which we're allowed to view blocked sites and I'm sure you'll agree that's just not enough. I had the cunning idea that I could use IE to 'synchronise' dz.com and store it offline so I could use one of my 10 minute sessions to synchronise (for example) all the threads on the first page of Talk Back, then view them offline at my leisure. Good idea, eh?

Pretty cool, two of my favourite things at the same time! If only she was forced to land the suit in a big vat of jelly I might just die a happy man. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Oh man, that's harsh. But funny (for us). Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I'm currently uploading my first stab at filming and tarting up a tandem video (30mb, wmv) onto skydivingmovies, I imagine it will get moved to here after a bit. Other than the fact that I left late () any comments are very welcome. Comments along the lines of "come and work for me in Florida" are the most welcome.

Any news on this? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I believe it communicates using infra-red (like a tv remote control). If you have a look at the JumpTrack docking cradle and the back of the ProTrack you should see a transmitter on one and a receiver on the other that line up with one another. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I think you can also get metal brackets instead of the normal plastic ones. It makes it a bit of an arse getting the audible in and out but it's much more secure. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Where's the fun in that? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

That's just what I did: removed the ear-hole-cover thing, drilled four holes to match the holes in the audible's braket and attached it with zip-ties - worked great. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

The rigid wing thing you've seen is probably the Skyray. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I'm with you: it's not strong winds that effect the canopy it's increased turbulence and a general increase in wind activity. The canopy knows nothing of windspeed, only airspeed - how else does its groundspeed vary according to whether you're running or holding? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Do they ever need to know? Why not take them to the dz one weekend, show them how everything works, show them how safe it can be and have them watch you jump - if they've built skydiving up in their mind to be this big death-wish thing it may help them understand the reality. Have you ever gone low unintentionally?

Mine was my second camera jump, around my 250th in total. I had a new helmet for my camera, my audible wasn't sat quite right so I didn't hear it and I was so focused on filming that I lost all awareness until I saw someone else look at their altimeter. Was under my main by ~1500. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com -
Found this on Blinc then this on the Aussie Daily Telegraph. It makes for a good story but 6.5 km horizontal from 15000 feet is hardly revolutionary. Sounds like it was a Crossbow, anyone have any more details? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

That 120 is going to be pretty dull. To mix things up a bit why not grab a front riser at 50 feet and pull it down as far as you can? Let us know how you get on . Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Tried some floating exits from the Caravan this weekend with Craig. I kept inflating my wings unevenly so it took 3 attempts before I got a stable exit but the actual climb-out (holding the inside rail) wasn't as hard as I thought it might be. Nice jumps dude!

The PC9 does indeed say "DV In" and I can output to it using other software, just can't figure out Premiere. And I'd love to upgrade to 6.0, wanna share yours? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

I've never flocked with more than 3 other people and that was from a Skyvan (ie easy exits). If you've got a group of 10 people and you're jumping from a Caravan or a Let what's the best way to keep everyone close on exit? Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

"Can you land without a parachute?" Someone asked me. "Only once." I replied, trying to keep a straight face. True story. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com

Thanks for all the replies guys. FYI the 'print to tape' option doesn't seem to output anything to the camera (monitor only), do I need to somehow tell Premiere to use my firewire card? In the end I found a cd that came with the PC9 and had MGI VideoWave III on it. When I installed that it also installed the Adaptec DV Soft codec which Studio 7/Premiere/VirtualDub can all see and use. Gus OutpatientsOnline.com
