    I heard at one point that in states where helmets were required that insurance was higher because people were more likely to be seriously and/or permanently injured and survive than die. Which from strictly a $$$ and numbers standpoint will most likely end up costing insurance companies more in the long run.     I'd rather know something than just be told it. I also believe everyone deserves a chance. Especially if you're interested in them. We all make bad choices sometimes, but I'd rather know I made a bad choice than just think I did. People eventually tend to treat you how you think they'll treat you. If you think they'll treat you like shit, your actions and decisions will reflect that feeling, and they probably will, sometimes completely unintentionally. If you give them the benefit of the doubt, they still might, but then again they might not. It's amazing the power of perception has. People's perceptions are really their reality.     Food for thought: Perhaps one reason the human population is inherently "stupid" is because we have all of these laws to protect people not smart enough to protect themselves. Personally, I think someone should be allowed to do most anything as long as they understand the risks and possible consequences. Ex: The downsizing too quickly threads. Most just bash them or tell them they will die. I just want them to truly understand the risk and possible consequences. If they accept that and still want to jump a Velo at 240 jumps, have at it.     On the lips no tongue: High school, junior year, my girlfriend, my parents house, planned (by me), nervous as hell, great. On the lips with tongue: High school, senior year, girl who was sorta my girlfriend but I don't think we ever saw each other outside of school, was kissing her on the lips closed mouth before heading to class when she grabbed the back of my head and shoved her tongue in my mouth.
