  4. 'Scuse me? I might remind you I was *not* on that shopping trip. ok... I'm sorry.. in that case I apologize.. It's Evil Gia and Bad Beth then I guess.. I don't remember... (or: I dont want to remember)
  5. Well.. I still trust you.. Krisanne has lost my trust at the Byron Boogie..
  6. I'm thinkin' loincloth. Now that's some Byron Love. As long as I can go shopping for it MYSELF..
  7. And from what I heard he will be working in his speedos Is that part of the Byron Hate? You requested: Isn't speedos scantily enough?
  8. And from what I heard he will be working in his speedos
  9. The riggers at my dz had the same challenge, until Henri from Wings stopped by last year at our boogie. He did a little seminar and now the riggers can make the Wings look as sexy as they're supposed to look You can certainly pay more for a rig, but you can't get a more comfortable one than a Wings
  10. I agree.. I was talking to some of my friends that have been around skydiving longer (or just more involved) than me and basically we are seeing the same progression as what was going on with formation skydiving. First it was just cool to jump out of an airplane Then people started passing objects in freefall Then people started linking up Then people started building larger and larger formations. Then people started turning points etc etc VRW is a natural evolution from where freeflying started. the creative / artistic will always be there, so will the big ways, and so will VRW... it all displays amazing skills on the flyers. VRW will evolve into 8 ways turning points, the bigways will hit 100+ people, and artistic will be around, cause people will continue to create new moves and disciplines.. The possibilities are endless..
  11. :10:0 A slow weekend.. it is interesting how much less I jump when I have to pack for myself the whole weekend.. ha ha!! Muchos fun was had anyways..
  12. Even though they work there, they are not brainwashed Aubrey has always been really open and honest about his opinions regarding gear (at least to me). Of course at the end of the day he is going to say which one he thinks is better.. and guess what.. but as far as giving you a comparison as to what the differences / similarities are.. you are going to get a real honest answer from him.
  13. Pay attention to me damn it Attention WHOORE
  14. Did this start before the weekend already? Otherwise it might just be revenge for Ballsack's snoring from this weekend ha ha!! Thanks again for letting us crash at your house.. you're an awesome host.. Actually there was no other option than crash there after your margaritas
  15. We're all still nice and busy on the weekends They norcal DZs are all pretty close, you could even do two in a weekend..
  16. You should have gotten a talking to You saved your life by deploying your main, granted it was too low, still YOU saved your life. Your backup device fired because you happened to do it too low.. Just a talking to, and the fact that this scared the crap out of you will be (and I am sure was) enough.
  17. Saskia, I can find out what the rules are, this is just what someone from Sweden told me, maybe in a special situation you would just get away with a warning (they have a three warning system or something too.. three warnings and you're done skydiving in Sweden too..) Your cypress fired because you kept fixing something for too long? To me that sounds like you lost altitude awareness, which should be talked about too.. There's a lot of scenarios possible here, and it's not quite a black and white / yes or no thing. I just think that this jumper that literally got saved by her cypress because she did not execute her EPs AT ALL because she was waiting on a device to do it for her, should be grounded.. she should go bowling.
  18. The other thing that happens in swoop competitions, is EVERYBODY watches your landings.. studies exactly what you do / not do and can give you feedback on that.. so the "coaching" perspective that was pointed out earlier is very true too.. Even though the other people are competing against you, what I found is they are more than willing to help you out as well. In six jumps I learned more about my approach than I did in the 200 jumps before that.. just because people were watching me and giving me feedback on what I was doing. Iwan
  19. Thank you... I only competed in one CPC competition this last season due to conflicting dates with other plans. This year I am going to make sure to make it to all of the competitions... on a Sabre2 135
  20. Yeah I remember flashing you too (with the camera that is... ) Evidence of that can be found here
  21. I was getting worried.. it's been like two days since the boogie already.. and nothing about DUBLIN was posted yet..
  22. I know in Sweden, she would be banned from the sport, FOR LIFE. Cause.. theoretically you are dead. I think the rule there is if you land conscious from a Cypres save, you can sell your gear and you will never be allowed to jump in Sweden again. Someone local there correct me if i don't have the facts straight. Personally.. device dependence is a very dangerous thing, what are the emergency procedures we all get taught in ground school? Cutaway, pull reserve. One of my friends had a cutaway a couple of weeks ago, and the RSL beat him to pulling the reserve handle.. BUT.. he did grab the handle anyways, ready to pull it out, but he was already under a reserve. ALWAYS execute the emergency procedures.. ALWAYS. This jumper should be grounded.
  23. Yeah I wasn't wearing my camera helmet, and for some reason people don't recognize me very well without it ha ha!! It was great meeting you too..
  24. ........... looking for tickets to ATL
