  13. When you are ready to jump camera (in about another 150 jumps or so maybe.. or even later) you can always re-evaluate that. Right now having an RSL / skyhook is a good idea, there is no reason not to have it on your gear. Iwan
  14. So where's the Byron Boogie 2006 video? He is not THAT fast.. Let's jump at the Byron Boogie 2006 first..
  15. If you're going to be in Eloy you will have the most experienced cameraflyers in the industry right there for you. Talk to Michael McGowan, Greg Gasson, Jason Peters, Brent Finley, the Arizona Airspeed camera guys.. I can just keep going here with names but i would still be typing at 5 pm tonight. The resources available in Eloy are unbelievable, and I have found that all of them are really nice and willing to teach / help out anyone that wants coaching. Iwan
  16. Oh.. and I forgot.. and listen to Quade
  17. The best way to get into cameraflying is to look up someone at your dz that is an experienced cameraflyer, and have him be your coach. Starting to film 2 and 3 ways is definately the right approach, you want to start small.. there are a lot of things that come into play when you start putting a camera on your head. With regards to "perfect angles" there are different angles for different purposes.. If you are filming competition 4 way, you need to be steep above the formation and make sure all the grips are in sight the whole time. If you are filming stuff just for fun, or to build a stock video library.. all bets are off, since you are doing creative stuff.. there is no perfect angle. First of all.. don't be in a rush.. the safety recommendation for camera flying is 200 jumps minimum, you're a little ahead there.. And next: start reading this and this weekend, start sitting down with an experienced cameraflyer at your dz.. and ask lots of questions.. Be safe...
  18. Mark, the Stiletto, even if loaded lightly is a high performance wing... Someone here in NorCal three years ago bought a ST 190 cause it was a Stiletto.. but it was big enough, so it was not as dangerous.. he was wrong.. and unfortunately he is not with us anymore. Do a search on Paul Cousins on here.. Students / low experience jumpers have no business on Stilettos.. Don't take this personal, it's just my opinion.. but I would really reconsider putting a student on a Stiletto. If you had said Sabre2.. yes.. but not a Stiletto..
  19. And just because of you.. I bought myself a nice 15" powerbook tonite.. Cool! < drool, drool > ltdiver I agree, she is really hot.. The laptop is really nice too...

    Off we go

peace and quiet and Gia.. hmm.. that doesn't quite go together.. but whatever.. Have fun girlie!
  22. I partially agree with you.. I too do look at things with my eyes instead of my whole head. If I see someone coming at me like that though, I would go out of the way, cause even though I love to get the shot.. it's never worth getting hurt for. These guys dont have a clue as to what is going on..
