Hey mike....not sure what Monroe is, but at Richmond there is no swoop pond. However, this is the 2nd boogie of the year, they may have something there that I dont know about. See how many people you can con into coming up there. Also, let me know where you'll coming in (when you find out) and I'll be sure to pick you up (or find someone to do so) and take you back when needed. Remember, Dayton, OH is easiest, but there is always Indy. Sure hope that you can all find time to check it out!! Can't wait to jump with you there. Maybe we can see how many dz.comers we can get in a formation. Hahah......we'll see if I can even get to a formation. BTW, I'll be there (hopefully) Wednesday, but for sure on Thursday. Then we may be leaving Saturday night, but I'm going to talk Laura into making it Sunday night. She is a church girl, but I want to jump!! Hey Phreezone....I want to make it out there to Xenia probably the weekend after the Richmond boogie. I need to get all my coach dives done and get my A. After that, noone has to worry about me killing myself. Or, if we can find a Wednesday off, can you make it out to Blu Flu?? I want to do some raft dives, but I'll be pretty busy jumping next weekend and then the boogie is the following weekend. And, I can't pass up Mullins, DC-3's, choppers, etc....

That is INSANE!!! Maybe the govt should invest in some camo colored tandem rigs. That would be pretty sweet. Less injuries and more maneuverability. I know, but more money too. How much would they save in medical?? Probably not enough to justify it, but I bet the paratroopers would agree with it!

I wish I was jumping this weekend. I am going to sit around the house today and look at skydiving gear on the internet until about midnight. Then tomorrow, I have to work in the AM shift at work. When I get home, I am going to look at gear until about midnight and dream. I know that feeling...my wife and I wait forEVER to get our jumps in at Richmond. Recently they never have their Otter and the Beech 18 has been down for like 2 months. On top of that, they never have pilots there to fly the Cessnas. I dont mine the Cessna, but as long as there is someone to fly them. aa1b......as far as making your first jump, FINALLY.....Congratulations!!! I am sure that you will start wanting to jump out of them instead of land them from here on out. Just remember, if YOU are the who took the plane off, you may not want to jump out unless it is on fire. As far as tips for being in freefall....there are so many things that you can do. Your best bet is to just ask your JM and see what he/she says about it. However, I can offer this piece of advice for your butterflies and freefall.....RELAX.

Uhh......yeah. Hey man, I am married to a skydiving chick. You can't beat not having to beg to go to the DZ, but she actually goes with you, manifests with you, rides up in the little Cessna with you, and watches you jump out and then follows you out the door. Trust me ALL.....there is nothing as fun as watching your sweetheart being under canopy right after you have landed. No kidding. Oh wait, Spec....she is the "figure head" of the country. However, she has practically (if that) no power over anything or anyone there. BUHAHAH!!! Makes me like the Bush just a little more. He doesn't take shit and he isn't afraid to admit it. I dont think there was an arguement about that, was there?? Either way, count me in, Marc!! I'll take some Smirnoff ICE. Damn, that stuff is good. I had a "goggle malfunction" on my AFF VI jump. My goggles weren't tight enough and when I did my first COA, they just flew right up on my helmet. I had to redo it, so that sucked!! -------------- Drop on in...leave a message

Sounds like you took care of everything like you should have!! I have had several line twist jumps already (in 16 jumps) and have had no trouble getting out. My last one had my slider as well, which was pretty disconcerning. Glad to hear that you are having fun and keep it up!!!
