I had a little scare this past Sunday. I was using a Sweethog/Raider combo. I opened and it opened up about half-way. Slider came down about 1/4 of the way and the lines were twisted about 3 times. I was on jump 16, so I thought, hell.....i can handle this. I kicked out of the line twist and the slider came down about 3/4 of the way. It was at least inflated, so I pulled myself up on the risers and pulled the damn slider all the way down, but it was crumpled. Oh well.....it worked, I stood it up again, all was well. -------------- Check out our all-new website!

Yo XYBE....I think you should just shoot them an email. I sent one last night at 2am and there were two waiting for me this morning at 8:30am. Here is the contact page you can fill the form out and they will get back to you pronto. I am thinking about getting a 170 Hornet. If I fly it conservatively for awhile and just learn. If so, I think it'll last me quite a long time. Good luck dude!!! -------------- Check out our all-new website!

Yo XYBE......that is sweet that it is what you want. However, you shouldn't let some weight hold you back. I am planning on loosing 15 pounds, but you can always have your stuff resized. It would be worth the extra $$ to have it now. If you go to para-service, you can get HOOKED UP with what I just told you for $3650. That guy will give you a great deal!! Check it out....

I have a grand total of 16 jumps to date. I have jumped from a C-182 (woohoo.), Westwind Beech, Super Otter, and CASA....can't wait to do that last 3 again. I am getting SICK of the Cessna...

Thanks for the links Geoff!! Some of that canopy flight is INSANE!!! However, I only have 16 jumps, so that is understandable. But, damn.......

I remember reading about this several months ago on here. Here is what I remember: It depends on your helmet type, but you may be able to tape up (or another method) some places that allow wind to get in and drownout your audible. I thought they were talking about tape. Also, I think they said that they would make the area bigger for the sound to travel in the helmet. That would just be so the sound doesn't get blocked by the helmet itself. That's all I remember.....

Who is this guy?? I've heard about him and stuff, but have never seen him (pictures) before. Anyone have info about him or maybe a website??

Hey man.....I did AFF. From what I've heard, if you KNOW you want to become a skydiver, AFF is the way to go. For one, you get practice for freefall in every jump. You can't substitute for experience. You can't teach on the ground in one week what you can learn in one minute of freefall. AFF is more expensive, but it gets your ass up in the air....quick. I think it is a great course. There are the downsides too (besides price). It is VERY intense. Every jump requires you to do something, if not a lot. If you think you can handle the pressure (I'm sure you can), than AFF would be for you. Good luck deciding!!

Absolutely!!! This is very good advice if you can do it. My wife and I jumped 4 and 5 times, respectavely. That day, I did level 6-9 and a high solo jump. By the second or third jump, it was feeling more and more natural and I didn't have to try and remember what it felt like to do things. So, I highly recommend doing as much jumping as you can in a short amount of time. We just bought the whole 20 jump course so we could just do it as much as we could. Heh heh heh......SO????? -------------- Check out our all-new website!

That is what I thought....until after AFF. Now you have to actually adjust your fall rate. I did my fast/slow fall rate jump on Saturday and you should start dearching a little and find something comfortable that you can play with. For instance, if you are jumping with a super-arch right now, you will not be able to speed-up if you have to. You should really flatten out a bit and find something that you can be stable with AND that you can have the ability to change your fallrate and stay with other jumpers. From what I've heard, if you fall at 155 on your belly, you'll be DAMN low for your RW work and all that other belly stuff. Damn!! Send your packers my way. They must know more about packing than ours do. Those big F-111 canopies are anything but slow opening. Almost every opening I have had with a Manta have been ball crushing, leg burning, neck jarring SLAMS.

Is this for a complete new rig?? If so, that is one hell of a deal. Also, are these rigs "freefly friendly"?? My wife and I are going to be getting gear this winter, but I'm not sure what to get. I am thinking about new containers and used canopies so we can downsize. Either way, just wondering about the specs. What is their addy anyway??

FYI......the server will be down for several hours due to "i need it for something else". hehe.....will post when back up. -------------- Check out our all-new website!

Yo Viking!! If you send me those files, I'll put them up for awhile on my FTP so people can see them. That is what I do with mine. After a day or two, they loose intrest. Anyway, let me know when you get those files!!

As you can see in the video, I fall DAMN fast when I get out. Seth goes into a sit and realizes that he's gonna be going headdown to catch up. Him and I are about the same size (height and weight). Then, when he's under canopy, you'll hear what he thinks of my fallrate. Damn I'm a chunk.....

I would wish for a massive amount of money. Flying would be cool, but that would sort of take away from skydiving. You wouldn't have that same thrill of falling to the Earth. So, I would use that money to have my own DZ with ALL the amenities. A couple of CASAs, some Super Otters, a chopper, etc, etc.......etc. And it would have the best facilities.....free packers for all, free rental of the best gear. *sigh*

Hey all! You can check out the movie of my skydive (when clicked, you will have to remove the "http://" part and then hit enter again) with Wildblue (Seth). He videoed my jumpsuitless, potato chip jump. This was my first jump with someone other than an instructor. So, if you want a good laugh, feel free to check it out. There are two different ones. The big one (28MB.....I dont know how to make files smaller) has music and slo-mo and the smaller one (6MB) is as-is. This is my computer FTP so you'll have to download the video to watch it, I think. Also, if you are only getting audio and no video, you probably need the DIVX_311alpha program on there. I put that on here for that reason. It is a small file, so don't sweat it. Hope you all enjoy my bad form!!

I am thinking that all of those other people have left us out in the cold. We are standing here by ourselves.....just Michele, Kerb and me. How lonely. I can't get it work either. Maybe since HH is gone, he left it locked and boarded while he is away. -------------- Check out our all-new website!

Hey laser.....maybe that is why my stability was like shit. That was my 13th jump and I couldn't stay stable and I didn't know why. Maybe that contributated some to it, eh? -------------- Check out our all-new website! -
