I am all about outdoor sports such as camping, hiking, and mountain biking. In the winter, I like to ski. It all depends on how much time you have and where you live. I guess that I wished that I lived somewhere better than crappy Ohio. Oh well. -------------- Check out our all-new website!

Yo HH!!! Glad to hear that you are having a good time and we EXPECT tons of pictures. Hopefully you can get some "cold finger" jumping in there too. Anyway, dont do anything I wouldn't do and you'll be fine. Have fun!! -------------- Check out our all-new website!

FINALLY...some pictures of me in freefall...
mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in The Bonfire
Hahaha....thanks Seth! It got a little bit better on that 2nd jump (I thought). I'll keep an eye on Viking's "chipping" thread and maybe I'll learn a bit from it. Anywho, thanks for putting those pictures up and I can't wait for the video. (I wanna use my Premier again to edit some video...a.k.a. put music to my chipping). hehe -
FINALLY...some pictures of me in freefall...

Hey all!! I finally have some pictures of me in freefall that aren't of my tandem. These were taken by WILDBLUE (Seth Jones). Thank you very much, Seth!! Hopefully I can get the video capture sometime as well. If I do, I'll be making that available also. Me in my arch...(sad arch, eh?) My deployment...man, that hurt the crotch being under a fast opening manta. --------------------------------------- two new skydiving pics...check em out! -
You had to ask??

what do you jump from Zen?? Do you have some deal worked out with NASA?? two new skydiving pics...check em out

Yep....I timed our acsent once and it took about 13 minutes for a full load. Not only does it matter on how many people there are, it also depends on the weather. The hotter it is, the longer it takes. (I don't know why, but a pilot could probably explain....Aviatrr??) Our website...updated 7 August...

I am by no means an expert, but I always thought people recommended 200 jumps to do it. However, I know people who do it around 100 jumps or so and do quite well. It probably helps to have a D-box instead of a Rak helmet with a big camera on the top due to the catching probability of the bigger stuff. It would seem to me that if you just have a PC5/110 in a D-box, you would have far less to catch on your risers than if you have a bigger camera mounted right on top. Just my thoughts and remember, I'm no expert....just my .02. Blue ones... Our website...updated 7 August...

Just curious.....what did your instructor say about your cutaway?? What did the finally say when they found out that you had a mal?? And what was it exactly? Lineover? Glad that everything turned out well and that you went back. Good luck from here on out!!!

Hey Wingnut. I guess you are out of Ohio now, eh? I know that we were going to try and hook up for some beer or something while you were on leave. If I missed you, then I guess we'll have to wait until next time. I have 14 jumps now which means I can jump with others finally (at some places), so when you are back again, look me up!!! Have a good time in the city that never sleeps and I'll see you on your next trip home. Blue ones [url=http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura]Updated on 6 Augusturl]and Richmond Boogie info!

Great job Michele!! I just finished AFF last week and have done 3 solos since. They are so awesome since you don't have instructors right there giving you signals and having a certain "game plan" to stick to. I sure hope that you keep enjoying yourself and not go back to the "nerves". On my last two exits with Wildblue, I just look back, yell "Rock-n-roll" and dive out. It was excellent!! Anyway, just wanted to say Congrats for getting more comfy and I hope that it continues. Keep it up!!!

I am wondering if there are any DZ's located close to the shore somewhere in South or North Carolina. My parents are wanting to go there next summer for a vacation and have offered to take my wife and I. Woohoo!! Anyway, if anyone has some ideas as far as coastal city/DZ vacation ideas, please let me know!! Thanks....

Hey dude! Great story..... I have a little problem of "fast fallrate" -
Hey Riggerrob....I meant being the baggage...I mean, passenger/student on a tandem. You are the one obviously in control (most of the time, right?) and it counts as freefall time for ya. Unless, of course, you did 2000 tandem jumps before going through the A license course.

I just jumped two times today! Woohoo! Laura went to work, so I went down to Xenia and did a couple jumps with Wildblue. Anyway, I'll be back at Richmond this coming weekend for 3 days. I'll have to work on my "potato chip form" Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!

Does everything else in your life seem boring now?
mountainman replied to Viking's topic in The Bonfire
that is really true man! I used to like to play half-life online. I would rather jump. I used to watch movies all the time. I would rather jump. oh well.....now i can go do it whenever. That's nice! Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info! -
This is lame, but I couldn't find an email address. Did you get that message I sent ya. It is just about the Richmond Boogie and if you need a ride there. I will pass by Dayton, OH (DAY) and could give you a lift there if you are flying in there. However, if you are going into Indy, there are a couple guys who probably wouldn't mind. (Cameramonkey?? Jaybird??) Anyway, shoot me an e-mail and let me know! Blue ones... Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!

Wouldn't those be the best things you NEVER did?? Heheh.....however, that is a damn good thing you didn't have kids! They will slow down your jumping (so I've heard...I wouldn't know).
-
why were you out for so long?? And....welcome back!! The sky missed you (she told me so).
-
How many jumps do you have? 0 (Tandem's DO NOT count since they are not recorded as actual freefall by the USPA for the passenger.) 1-19 20-49 50-99 100-199 200-499 500-999 1000+ Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!
