  1. Hey Mike! That is really cool that you are going to make it. Should be a pretty good time. Are you flying up via personal or commercial?? Can't wait to meet ya! (Anyone else going?) Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!
  2. Hey Lisa! I ordered some goggles for me and my wife earlier this week. I talked to some guy who sounded like he either doesn't like his job, or wasn't doing too well at solitare. Either way, WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER THE PHONE??? Hmmm???? Oh well...maybe next time. BTW, what kind of deal can you make me on two protracks and one jumptrack???
  3. I am wondering who is thinking they are going to go to the Richmond Boogie in Indiana. I will be there most of those days, trying to jump my ass off. My wife and I just finished AFF and need to do coach dives to get our A license. So, since this will be done before the boogie, I wanna know who I can count on to meet from dz.com! Hopefully some of you are planning on going. It should be a blast!! There is a link to the info on my webpage, so just click below.... Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!
  4. Damn!!! That is SO expensive. Not for tunnel time, but just for hovering on top of a fan. It would seem worth it to pay 8 bucks more and actually make a skydive, no? Oh well...maybe since we don't have any tunnels close to where I live, I couldn't see spending that much money for it. However, I would love the practice (my damn, uneven knees
  5. I know there was a thread about a week ago about where to go on a DZ vacation, but I am wondering if there are any DZs in the Caribean or anywhere like that. There is a DZ by Cancun that has a Cessna and you get 10,500' for $30, but it seems that EVERYONE goes to Cancun. I want to go somewhere different. Are there good places on the beach in Europe (preferable where it's warm) that you can skydive?? Let me know! Bluuuuz... Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!
  6. Does anyone know of more companies with websites that organize exotic skydiving trips?? My wife and I want to do something like this but have only found one that caters to that. The company is Exotic Sky Adventures. They look like a fun time, but I'm sure there must be more. If anyone knows of any, please let me know! Thanks... Something totally new...and Richmond Boogie info!
  7. Hey all! Laura and I are headed out here in a couple minutes to the DZ. We are going to be starting with level VI today and we'll hopefully get a few jumps in. And then tomorrow, hopefully we can get more in! I cannot wait until we can finally jump solo! After level IX, we do the 10 coach jumps, one solo, then it's time for A license. I can't wait!! Wish us luck and hopefully everyone has blue skies this weekend! Adios...
  8. I have done some research on places to jump for a vacation next summer with my wife. Here is what I've found: Hawaii: You need a D license due to the small area and the winds and ocean. Also, there is not really a DZ close to the major resorts, so if that is your intention, you need to rent a car (I emailed them) and drive the 45 minutes there. Norway: This place is not really cold as long as you go in the summer time. I traveled in the fjords in '98 and it was in the mid-60's most of the time. The only bad part is the bad weather that is almost daily there. But, if base jumping is in your future, it may be the place to do it! Cancun: We have settled on going to Cancun. I emailed the DZ and got some info about it. They use a Cessna and you get 10,000 - 10,500ft for $30. You need a B license since it is so close to the beach. The actual DZ is like 20 min from Cancun in Playa del Carmen. There are some sweet places really close to it and also taxis are incredibly cheap. It sounds like a tandem factory, but would still be incredible. I've talked to people down there and they say that they can see the sealife in the water from under canopy. So, laura and I are going next summer! Woohoo!!! Let me know what you decide!! Blue ones.. Something completely new...
  9. i actually thought about that. WILDBLUE was talking about them. Said they were pretty awesome! I'll have to check out the site and such (other than to watch the vids). later! Something completely new...
  10. Hey all! I wanted your input on good freefly coaching schools in the US. My wife and I want to go to one in the spring next year and don't really know of where to go. If you can all give me an idea (and a URL for it, if possible), that would be awesome! Thanks!!! Something completely new...
  11. At my DZ, Aerodrome Sky Sports in Richmond, IN, we are situated on the Municipal Airport. There are usually some tents there and then some RV's as well during the end of the week. They do not have problems with it (as far as I know) and everyone keeps it quiet and clean. Good luck on getting your camping rights back!!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

  14. Hey man! I don't know anything about that DZ, but I may be able to shed some light on getting AFF done. If you go there on a Saturday morning for ground school, you MAY get 2 jumps in on Saturday. Then, on Sunday, you will probably get in about 4 or 5 jumps. This is only if it is a big place with large, fast jumpplanes. It seems to be harder to find all the JM's you need to keep staying in the air and not waiting on the ground a lot. I spent a lot of time waiting for JMs. This really slowed down our process. Hopefully they'll speed it up a bit soon!!! Good luck man!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
  15. Hey all! I was cruising wildblue's website and watched the video called "bikenjump2". It is a pretty sweet video that is worth watching if you are craving some high-speed motorcycle action and some freefly action, all put to a great sound track. Although it's only a couple minutes long, it still brings a big grin to your face like, yeah, I wanna do THAT! Just thought I would share for those who haven't seen it. If there is anyone else who has some good video like that on their site, post it here!!! Blue ones! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
  16. I second this motion!! WE NEED T'S!!! And, it would be a great thing to wear at the DZ to promote the website! Where they at? Our humble corner on the web... HERE

  21. like PHREEZONE said...you don't need to restrict when you jump. I chose a DZ with one main aspect that it is USPA certified, but I will end up jumping at SGC also. I was just making sure that the instruction always falls in USPA standards. SGC just does their instruction better and I got a better deal at Richmond. The people are awesome too! Anyway, just check the dz.com list and make your choice!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
  22. Hey all!! Laura and I just got back from the DZ. We made two jumps yesterday and two jumps today, each. So, we are both on our level 6 now and will go back in two weeks to jump like crazy. Hopefully we'll be done in time to jump at the Richmond Boogie!!! Anyway, just wanted to keep you all up-to-date on our progress. We each did 4 and didn't have to repeat any levels. Our next two jumps are 360's and then solo exit. WOOHOO!!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
  23. I think there is one close to Canon City which is a bit west of Pueblo. That would probably be your best bet as the others are by Longmont, Brush, and Denver. Look into it on the dz.com list of DZ's. Have fun and tell me how it was!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
  24. You have to look at the big picture: IS THERE A DROPZONE THERE?????????
  25. PROBLEMS!!! Here is my new error message AFTER downloading DIVX and installing it. Damn!!! "Quicktime is missing software to play this movie. Unfortunately, it is not available on the Quicktime server." pleaes help!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE
