  1. IDEA: Wildblue....if you are thinking about doing what Cameramonkey is talking about, you should go to THE Boogie. Cameramonkey is a regular jumper from Richmond. Also, Cameramonkey, Wildblue is one of my friends I was talking about that jumps at SGC. Just thought that may make things work out better.
  2. Hey there HH....I was wondering if you have considered linking the two profile pages. The reason is because when I go to main page and type in someone's user name, I go to their "main" profile, but cannot get to the "post' profile from there. And, vise versa. This requires looking through posts for someone's user name to click on and get info. Just curious, man!! Or, is there just something that I'm missing. Thanks!! -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  3. How could I do that?? I figured that we would bring you with him automatically.
  4. I'm going to be on the same side as most people here. I dont think that I could just pickup and go to the DZ for the rest of my life. I have thought that would be a lot of fun, but I wouldn't have the chance to do things that I want to do for the rest of my life. As far as life plans, I want to be a TM and AFF JM/I in the future. BUT, my plans also include traveling all over the world, having a good career (either in teaching or aviation) and having a nice house (with an airstrip if I can find out more info about it). Either way you slice it, if that is all you want to do for the rest of your life, then you could probably pick-up and go to the DZ forever. But for me, there is more to life than skydiving (however everything in life revolves around skydiving and often includes it like vacations and such). Hope that was answering your question.
  5. OUCH!! That really sucks. I dont have anything against Delta for sure, because they had me the luggage at 11:30pm that night and then 6:00am the next morning. So, there surely isn't any reason I wouldn't fly them again. I think it just depends on which person at the baggage transport is moving your luggage and what kind of day he has had. -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  6. OOPS!!! We are retreating!! Ahh!!! -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  7. And why is that Pammi?? -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  8. Do most canopies that aren't designed for students have dive loops?? For instance Triathlons, Hornets, and yes, Safires. Don't start worrying though! I won't be entering any Pro Challenge Swoop Contests...yet.
  9. And after you download it, you can print it out at your school/work printer (laser jet recommended). Muhaha!! Yeah, I did that. All 160+ pages of it and put it into a binder. Did you know that they charge you to buy it?? Screw that!!
  10. This is the only airliner that has lost my baggage in all my flying. I have flown a lot too. Hmm.....I am sure it was the baggage people in my connecting city (Chicago-O'Hare). They lost them on the way to Colorado AND on the way home. *sigh* -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  11. Mike...that was uncalled for. Haha....you got me laughing right here sitting in front of a classroom. Oops!!
  12. Seems to me that if you are under your "last parachute", a bruised heel wouldn't be that bad of a consequence for saving your life. Just something to think about. However, I too, would rather have a nice, soft stand-up.
  13. Hey all!! I have read A LOT lately about front riser turns on current mains before you think about downsizing. I have a question about this. In 1.5 weeks, I'll be using a different, maybe smaller main that I use now. My real question here is, is it easier or harder to do a front riser turn on a Raider 220 than on something smaller?? Also, how do you do it on something like this? Do you just grab some riser and pull?? Thank you all for some advice! I want to try some of these this weekend at the DZ.
  14. SWEET!!! I just practiced. Should have it down in no time!
  15. Hey all! I am just sitting here at Libery-Benton High School posting away. I am doing an observation for school. Muhahah!! So, while the teacher is lecturing away at 1500's Spanish history, I am reading about mains, safety, and peach asses. Woohoo!! How many of you post on here during the day while you are at work?? And if so, should you be??
  16. Hey there Mike....maybe I'll just have to come down there in Feb and check it all out for myself. However, by then, it'll probably be about in the 100's by then, eh? *sigh* I guess this will put my ski gear into even more use. Hand warmers, turtle fur, thick ass socks, etc....I can even use my snowboarding boots for warmth. That would work.
  17. I checked it out and looks pretty sweet. I'll be there sometimes for sure!! EVERYONE ELSE...come on over sometimes. The water is nice... -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  18. If I get the chance to buy a plane like this, I will not build it...I'll buy a used one. There NO WAY I would have the time (nor patience) to put on together. I have found a lot of cool, used planes on http://www.trade-a-plane.com. They have tons of cool stuff, but I'm sure you know that. Good luck getting yours finished, bro!!
  19. Damnit Phree and Wild....you guys better get yer asses over to Richmond. You can pre-register and pay $5 less. It is a bit cheaper to do it and you know you'll use it. Anyway, hope you guys decide to come!! It'll be the shizznits....Woohoo!!
  20. I dont think i'll be getting my license till 2003, but once I do, I'll get a plane and then try and fly by ass off. I was thinking about the Van's RV series planes. Any thoughts on this?? I know they are taildraggers (most). If any one here has flown one, please give me what type you flew (6, 6A, 8, 8A, 4, 4A, etc) and what you liked/disliked about it. -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  21. This would be sweet!! I'll find out for sure today by calling and post the answer here. Keep your eyes peeled! (...and Skymonkey, get a new picture man!! That one is scaring me!!!
  22. Yeah, there are a couple of guys at the DZ who do that. I think that if this becomes a reality, I will probably start contacting DZs around the area (especially Richmond and SGC) and find out if I can get on the "program". Seems like all I have thought about for the past 6 months was skydiving and being a pilot. *sigh* One of these days..... -------------- Drop on in...leave a message
  23. Haha.....last night I was looking for the pub too!! Then after about 20 min of searching and trying mIRC, I figured it out that it's only Tuesday. I'll just be slumpped over this busstop bench till HH opens it up. Hey HH, how about opening up a little early tonight. Say.....5am EST???
  24. What kind of plane you getting/making?? Is it an "experimental"?? *SIGH* I wish I would have gone into aviation when I was fresh out of H.S. I have been thinking lately that when I get my pilot license, I would just try and try to get as much flight time as I could and eventually become a pilot. I have always loved flying with my grandpa since I was about six years old. I still love it today. It was stupid of me to not go into something that I knew I would love. I am 21, will get my B.A. in Spanish Education in one year. Do you think if I started teaching and flying I would one day have the chance to fly commercially (cargo/airline/corporate
