CNN.com has a live feed running right now. -
Bill Booth has one. He was number 318. Mike "Mad Dog" Maguire also has one. He was 377. Both of these were when it was legal. I think they are the only two at UPT that have them. Mark Klingelhoefer United Parachute Technologies

Remembering September 11th (From the PD Blog)
klingeme replied to klingeme's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I saw this and thought I'd share it with those of you that don't follow the PD Blog. Mark Klingelhoefer Submitted by Stuart Schoenfeld Tomorrow, on Thursday September 11th, members of Team Fastrax will be commemorating the 7 years that have passed since September 11th attacks with a very special jump. Members of the team have worked extensively with the FAA, TSA, Homeland Security, The National Park Service and the City of New York to allow jumpers to drop seven American flags simultaneously over ground zero. This will take place approximately at 10:30 EST (New York time), the time when Twin Tower two fell. The team views this jump as a very special honor and a way to say thank you to the members of all the fire fighters, law enforcement, and military personnel, who have served to protect the freedom that we all enjoy. Below is the list of jumpers and sized flags they will be jumping during this special event. Travis Donley – 7800sqft Stuart Schoenfeld – 3700sqft Niklas Hemlin – 2000sqft David Hart – 1100sqft Dan Pangeti – 500sqft David French – 500sqft Robin Heider – 275sqft John Hart – video Norman Kent – video Burce Schemmel – Pilot in Command This event will probably be broad casted on TV, so keep your eyes peeled! -

And don't forget... "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." -
What is involved in getting a uspa coach rating?
klingeme replied to skittles_of_SDC's topic in Instructors
Clarify please. Are you saying that if you just show up and pay for a coach course, it's guaranteed that you'll get the rating? Or, are you saying that if you show up with your money, you will have the skills necessary to be a safe and effective USPA rated coach? Thanks in advance for your clarification. - David I was in Glenn Bangs first coach course he ever taught (in Titusville) and he actually said that everyone would pass even if we had to redo jumps and "Teaching" sections. We were pretty much pormised ratings. -
what's the deal with packers in the US!?
klingeme replied to virgin-burner's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We're (Americans in general) LAZY. When I went to learn to pack to get my A license, I was told "Do you want to learn to pack or just get you license?" If you just wanted the license, they would have you flat pack, if you wanted to learn to pack for yourself, they would teach you to Pro Pack. I thought about it and said "in 1000 jumps I would have spent $5000 on pack jobs.....I think I'll learn to do this on my own" For others, their time and frustration is worth the $5 a pack job. -
And this differs from 25% of the posts in this forum how?

Fine in theory but......is killing (unborn) babies a religious view? How about not killing, not stealing, no adultery? Morality and Religion are hand in hand a lot of times. -
I thought this was going to be about french fries....

I just rewatched this movie over the weekend, and it 100% confirms the fact the I think this movie SUCKED. I like all the other M Night movies, but this one BLEW.

I'm a Serra fan, but to even compair him to GSP is crazy. GSP is INSANE. I can't wait for the next Penn fight. By far my favorite. I love the BJJ.

So you ARE just spouting things without proof...Got it. Would that fit into the category of "lies?" or "half-truths?" No - it falls into the category of wondering. English lesson for you and Ron: "I wonder if X", is not the same as "X is true". I wonder what the dems would think if they found out that not only did Obama do drugs but he also used to sell them.........Or that he has paid for abortions for 12 of his past girlfriends.......I can keep making this shit up all day, it does not make it true, so why bring it up?

Would you vote for this candidate for President?
klingeme replied to nerdgirl's topic in Speakers Corner
What about these people? Can you imagine working for the following company? This company has a little over 500 employees with the following statistics: - 29 have been accused of spousal abuse - 7 have been arrested for fraud... Read More - 19 have been accused of writing bad checks - 117 have bankrupted at least two businesses - 3 have been arrested for assault - 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit - 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges - 8 have been arrested for shoplifting - 21 are current defendants in lawsuits - In 1998 alone, 84 were stopped for drunk driving Can you guess which organization this is? Give up? It’s the 535 members of your United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line. I just think it is ridiculous comparing Medical Weed, and doctor assisted suicide (with the patients consent) to the ending of a "potential" (I believe real) innocent life. By your standard, if your a mute, it's all right to kill you. or a newborn isn't asking not to be killed so they're fair game. How about someone that is just asleep......are they a fair target too? WHOOOSH Right over your head goes the point being made. Do states rights trump the feds? Yes or no. This isn't about abortion. This is about the hypocrisy of the righties whining about "States Rights"on the pro or anti choice issues, while being against them when it comes to other issues. I don't think the right to kill babies is the States, Federal, or the parents choice. It's wrong on all three levels, so I don't think your point matters much. Have you read this thread? It is VERY MUCH about abortion.

I did spend a year working (24 hours a day) for a Department of Juvenile Justice Program to help out youth offenders (14 at a time) learn how to be decent human beings because their parents did a shitty job, but no I've never counseled at an abortioin clinic. Have you ever taken out the trash that contains the dead babies?

Because there is a dead baby on the other end of the vacuum cleaner. I'm all for the rights of a termanally ill patient to end their suffering, but what unborn baby is saying "Could you kill me to make my mother life easier?"

Unfortunately you view the issue as black and white. It's not. You view GWB's presidency as a complete failure. I do not. You see only the bad. I see some of both. I would have thought an educated man would have balance. Ability to see all sides. You are blinded by hatred for GWB. People who see things in black and white scare me. It seems that a large majority of Americans agree with my view of Bush (lowest approval rating of ANY president ever). Even McCain distances himself from Bush (only 8 minutes at the RNC for a sitting president!). Since the GOP's considered opinion (verified by ballot in 2000) is that Bush is better suited to be president than McCain, we're all in trouble. and things have changed in 8 years. McCain is more popular and Bush is less popular. There has been a terrorist attack, and a war since then...Maybe that affected the opinion of both. Are you saying the GOP got it wrong in 2000? Oh the humanity! I'm saying things change. Do you think opinions held in the 50s can be compared on an Apples to Apples basis to opinions held today? This is an stretch, but things do change over time.

Hmm...which President lied so he could send our men to war? Blues, Dave But did he perjure himself in doing so? Not that I'm aware of. Which is worse, lying to a judge in a civil case over a blowjob? Or lying to Congress so you can get permission kill thousands of Americans? Blues, Dave I don't make the laws, which is a felony?

So you want to impose YOUR personal views on everyone else. NICE! I speak for myself and the unborn who can not speak for themselves. By that rationale.... every illegal that doesn't speak English should automatically get citizenship and be supported by those who pay taxes! Hey, don't look at me...I'm just speaking for those that can't speak for themselves. They can speak, but don't pay taxes or have the right to vote, so their voices have no pull, similar to Felons who can not vote, or a 5 year old.

I hear a good majority of these are thing like calls to order or similar to this. I would like to see the percentage of Obama voting with Bush so we have a comparison, but it think it is probably over 50% so Obama does not want to advertise it as it would take some of the bite out of this argument.
