  1. Close, but not exactly. I was born with a birth defect that could have very easily resulted in my mother choosing to abort me had she known what she would have to go through in the first year of my life and twice since then (minor brain surgery 4 times in my life), and I am very glad that she chose to not kill me but to give me a chance.
  2. Not true, I am ANTI abortion, however if my 12 year old was raped today you can bet Id be at the doctors getting her tested and treated and sadly Id opt to give her the pill to well abort before the baby was even known to exist or not exist. At her age Id not even tell her what the pill was, Id carry that burden and guilt to my grave and not doubt my decision. Yet I am anti abortion. You can not judge others based on your beliefs only and not take into consideration that nothing in this world is black or white. I do not believe abortion should be a form of birth control but unless you have been raped and impregnated with the child of your rapist how can you cast stones? Sure way to up the amount of deaths in women and teen girls will be to make all forms of abortion illegal. Imagine the 15 year old girl , alone in her room, recovering from the mental trauma of rape and all that goes with it, sitting there with a coat hanger trying to rid herself of the child who is part of her rapist, and not seeing any way to mentally survive... yet to mixed up to ask for help and abortions illegal, imagine the thoughts as she self mutilates and rids her body of such? Now imagine her funeral. So you are Pro a 12 year olds choice to have an abortion. If a 12 year old that is raped can end a pregnancy, why not some 22 year old slut that screws everything at the bar and has an abortion once a year. Either abortion is the ending of a life or it is a medical procedure like removing a mole that everyone should have the right to. You either believe life starts at conception, or it doesn't. I don't understand the argument of Abortion is alright in some HORRIBLE situations, but not as a matter of convenience. If you believe it is not a human, everyone should get abortions, if you believe it is a life, no one should get them. Horrible things happen but if the 12 year old gets raped and the father goes out and kills or castrates the offender, justified or not, it is still illegal.
  3. These children are taken from the parents and put into DCFS hands after they are born lots of times, which is appropriate.
  4. In the case that the mother can not survive the pregnancy, it is the choice between one life or the other and while it is a tough decision, I think the woman has the choice to take her life or the life of the child. Kind of like siemese twins that can not survive and you have to choose one or the other. Someone has to die and that needs to be left up to the mother, understanding the circumstances.
  5. RIIIIIIIIGHT.. and why is it the same people seem to not want to educate them.. or provide medical care for them.....because they need to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. I think I already said I am not entirely Republican. I'm for national health care (as long as it is not funding abortions).
  6. If slavery were still legal would it be valid to vote only for anti slavery? It is the killing of the most inocent. I was born with a birth defect and I'm glad my parents did not take the easy way out.
  7. A candidate's abortion stance is indicative of their respect for individual liberty (and often freedom of religion). Blues, Dave Or for the sanctity of life and children.
  8. Hopefully. and I will vote republican until it happens.
  9. What about a shapeless mass of cells? A shapeless mass of cells that is contnually replicating forming things like lungs and a brain and arms, and legs.......I call that a baby in process. In process? So does that mean that if you stop the process it never becomes a baby? And is a newborn truely a person, so if you throw them in a dumpster, and they never develop a personality, or emotions....... That did not answer my question. At all. Is it truely a baby 1 day before it is born, and should abortions be legal then? Still don't want to answer eh? It's simply yes or no. You said a SHAPELESS MASS OF CELLS (NOT a baby 1 day before it's born) is a "baby is process". If you stop that process when it's a "shapeless mass of cells", does it never become a baby? The funny part is that you keep avoiding the obvious answer. The even more funny part is that you contradicted yourself and don't want to admit it. I believe that a group of cells that will become a baby is as much alive as a newborn who will evenutally have emotions and opinions and become an adult is alive.
  10. And here is example #2... If no one knows when human life (i.e. a baby) actually begins, it's awfully balsy to allow for abortion to occur under any circumstance. It behooves those who wish to procur an abortion or who wish to sustain abortion rights to ensure they are NOT terminating the life of a human life. And viability is a red herring b/c the line of viability has changed and continues to change with advances in technology. to take this further, a newborn can not live without assistance, so by that rationelle, the newborn and the dumpster is still alright......hense pro choice.....it'll be too much of a burden on me.....i have the right to choose.
  11. Not much interested in the US Constitution are ya? Why stop at assault rifles, how about making your own nuclear weapon?

  13. This is actually one of the only "conservative" issues I stand behind. I think Gays should be able to marry, and I don't think anyone should own an assault rifle. I just have a concrete definition of when life starts, and in my book, ending a life is murder.

  15. In other words, you are either pro-choice or anti-choice. Blues, Dave I have not probem with being called Anti Choice, Anti Abortion, or Pro Life. Why do Pro Abortion, Pro Choice, or Anti Life (No one uses this one) have a problem with being called any one of these. Maybe because 2 of the 3 are inaccurate. How hard is it for you to comprehend that neither YOU nor I nor Sarah Palin nor John McCain have any business telling any woman what she should or should not do with her uterus, regardless of our personal beliefs? Because killing babies, born or unborn, is wrong.

  18. I believe that something with arms (to be ripped off) and legs (also to be ripped off) and removed (with a glorified vacume cleaner) is alive enough to not be killed.
  19. Do you think that a newborn that is thrown in a dumpster and dies within an hour truely has "knowledge of its own existance"? LOFL at comparing a zygote to a newborn baby! You're kidding, right? It's a matter of degree. Tell me what magical thing happens that makes it a life. Is is when the heart starts beating, is it when you can see little arms and legs, is it when it can survive outside of the mother with assistance of a ventilator(premie), is is when it can survive outside of the mother without any assistace other than the mother? To me I can tell you the "magical" moment life starts and that is conception.
  20. Fixed it for you. That was a very lame attempt to disparage those who disagree with you. No I said it right, you are either pro (for) abortion or anti (against) abortion. No, not really. I don't encourage abortions, but I stand for the right to choose if you want one or not. It's entirely different. You are either for (pro) someone's right to have an abortion or against (Anti) that right.
