Only if his father was adamant that he was not going to teach Adolf what a real moustache should look like. But then again, how would John Cleese have done the Hitler skit without the funny moustache? Difficult one, this.

What disappoints me is people arguing for the "value" of the life of a person who brings nothing but death and despair. Not every life is of equivalent value to every other life just because it's a life! Is the life of a guy who dedicates it to robbing and murdering worth just as much to you ("sanctified"?) a the life of a blood donor who's a disease-curing doctor and a pilot for Angel Flight who tutors schoolkids for free in his spare time? Come on. How about the fetus that hasn't had a chance to decide which one of the above he intended to be?

On one of my very early jumps, from a 182, the other three (guys) on the load were doing their 100th jumps. At the time it was tradition to do one's 100th naked.... I still remember that jump very vividly, albeit not very fondly. -

That cover even made the newspapers down here. While having no dog in this fight and recognising Americans' pre-occupation with freedom of speech, I personally found the cover to be in very poor taste. I enjoy good satire as much as the next person, but this is not good satire. It was intended to inflame offend.

If eloquence and charisma were deciders, I think Obama would walk this thing. Listening to his speech yesterday, one could not help but be impressed, whether one agrees with him or not. (And I did not once see him refer to his notes, while McCain did not string more than four words together without looking at his notes).
