Hi PB You need a night jump for your "D" so you can be a TM and make some money for the DZO, and the DZO is "to busy" to put the Night jump together for his farm team the pilot works for the DZO, the instructor works for the DZO etc. Looks to me like the DZO is the problem not the liscense requirement. I'm going to take a WAG and say the DZO has enough TM's and doesn't need another one bitching because their not getting their piece of the pie. R.I.P.

The dumb shit on the porch was being watched over very closely when it looked like he was going to upchuck give the man some room folks and even helped to the railing a few times. (rumors) We also heard a rumor that some folks thought he was on more than booze. Honestly I'd agree if that were the case, but for the most part we're pretty friendly with them. Even when the young ones start getting aggressive, we're usually trying to defuse rather than escalate. Also, understand the term "locals" is being used rather loosely...these are usually 18-25 year olds, frequently from over 30 miles away. That said, I didn't notice any real "local problem" this year. I didn't see any fights or any Porta-Potties turned over, and neither I nor my friends had stuff stolen from our campsites.

IMO you set yourself up, living and working at the DZ is a 24/7 thing. Find another place to live away from the DZ, go to work at the DZ, STFU at the DZ unless its about jumping, don't worry be happy life is good, problem solved. We were warned a long time ago about spending to much time at a DZ even while on holiday, She was right on. R.I.P.

The IRR haas been around longer than that, at least 40 yr's. The only difference is we were on a string for only 2 yr's (Air Force). I'm guessing after the nam some sneaky bastards came up with the 4 yr zinger in the fine print. There was a time in the late 70's to mid 80's (Ithink) when cessna basically stopped manufactoring small acft due to the cradle to the grave liability that manufactoring airplanes of a indefinate life exposed them to. I don't know how populer the P&W engines on the TO is but I can see a increase in the cost of parts, more maintence inspections, or just the cost of P&W T.O engine parts being cost prohibitiven if this lawsuit if found against P&W. This is not to impy that there is anything wrong with the P&W engines, maintence procedures T.O. pilot error etc just that the lawsuit may result in a increase in jump prices. to cover the future cost of doing business.
