  1. Not really true. I jump in Mass and i usually don't have more then a month of lay-off. Winter is jumpable too. Had a ankle injury mid May on my CF2-139, started jumping mid June on borrowed Sabre-170 (still limping at that time) and last weekend transitioned to Sabre-150. Soon will get back to my CF2 stan. -- it's not about defying gravity; it's how hard you can abuse it. speed skydiving it is ... Speed Skydiving Forum

  5. not my choice, but you have to agree that for speed in speed skydiving the adjective extreme is kinda appropriate, don't you think ? :) stan. p.s. here you go: ex·treme ( P ) Pronunciation Key (k-strm) adj. 1. 10. but they used two strategically pointed ! :) i didn't see that. well, if they had an actual footage that it did happen, then what's the point to check if it could happen ? kinda defies the whole idea of the show ! :) -- it's not about defying gravity; it's how hard you can abuse it. speed skydiving it is ... 11. it was recently on MythBusters show (US) when they try to blow a taxi cab (dodge intrepid) to reproduce a myth that some taxi cab was blown by jet somewhere in Brasil (?). it didn't happen. they used two engines and car didn't move much,. they say it's a myth. on other hand ford escort is smaller. stan -- it's not about defying gravity; it's how hard you can abuse it. speed skydiving it is ... 14. a bit higher then hips - on lateral webbing. differences in static/dynamic pressure will affect the speed reading and it could be significant. but i'm very surprised to see the difference in times. the unites might be calibrated slightly different, but i'd expect difference in a second or two, not 20 ! the "official" red pro-tracks used for competition are vacuum-calibrated (whatever that means) and the difference in time from left- to right-mounted pro-track not more then a second if i remember correctly. it would be interesting to have both of those neptunes on one jumper and see what the diff will be. stan. -- it's not about defying gravity; it's how hard you can abuse it. speed skydiving it is ... 18. i download from my pro-track every jump i make, since all of them are pretty much speed dives. as long as the same devices is used with the same configuration then it should be pretty accurate for comparing speed. how far away it is from real air speed, nobody knows :) stan. -- it's not about defying gravity; it's how hard you can abuse it. speed skydiving it is ...
