With the onslaught of the "new age" jumper, I see 1 of 2 things may happen: 1) We are about to see a massive peak in "the list" numbers through an even more so lack of respect during the "over confidence phase" 2) we are about to see how the risks are not so bad with so many under skilled people getting away with it and becoming nice and rounded experienced jumpers. Which ever of these 2 occurs (mmmm.....) we will still see a lack of respect for the fundamentals and the sport is going to become something that most of us don’t want… Normally I would step in with an American Bash here (just for shit n giggles), but when I am actually posting something seriously I don’t…. (You see the difference now? - rl you see I am not a USr basher all the time! hey? ) Caveat: I guess am actually a “new age” jumper due to my time in time in the sport, so I guess this post is worthless to the masses anyway…

save your petrol, stop driving by those buildings and go to the DZ and start practising some large 7-cell skills in accuracy and CReW (300 jumps without those skills means fuck all), keep reading and start doing something that will actually benefit you... I would say rl told me to say this, but she didnt so I cant say that.....

the way I see it , if your peers deem you worthy enough and hold you in high regard then you can basically do what the hell you want. If Mr Smith goes out and does something similar then its called burning or glory hunting... if the "cool gang" like you then its "cool"... if not, then you are hurting the sport... NB: this is in no way aimed at Jeb, I am just throwing up a general point for people to continue to think I am a cunt and perhaps further discuss (my points or my continued cuntishness).... there you go, I piped up.... because heroin is very moreish. In the end you will always go toward the needle even if you think you will only snort / smoke it (took me less than a year to go from smoking at weekends to banging up daily). In fact, you find people will bang up warm water (or vodka /crushed valium /crushed hayfever tablets - anything at all ) when they cant get a hit just to feel that surge through the vein. As with skydiving and BASE, unless you have done it you can not truely know the attraction. It certainly was harder not to do it then do it.... - 6 years out now.... -
and myself too, I had velcro put onto my gargoyle shoulder and bridle as I used to own a wizard and liked that little touch in controlling the slack, especially doing solos as its much easier to mate the velcro then try and tuck in...

rather than kissing each others arses, I would say that the only way your bridle went over your thumb is that you had way too much slack on it whilst HH and the slack caught around your thumb when you pitched... if it was not the slack then you really are stowing it HH incorrectly...

if you stow your PC HH correctly there is no way your bridle can hang up on your thumb...... as when you release it its above your hand...

You did something wrong, sorry, but there is no other explaination.... There is no reason that the PC / bridle wraps around your thumb other than you did something wrong....
